Tyrel had just been about to ask if he could eat it, in fact. But when Sani explained it was a sentient being it was no longer an option. This was the exact reason he wanted to be a vegetarian. Tyrell saw Byrukens stunt but it was just too weird to comment on. He wasn't entirely sure he could trust his eyes on that one, because it should have been impossible.

Tyrell watched Kohaku administer the injection carefully. "Kohaku, why are you so eager to stick needles full of stuff in people? Most healers want to work with the patients body so it can get stronger and get sick less. Doing all the work for the patients body doesn't allow that." She seems suspicious to me. Just what's IN those needles? I'm going to have to see if I can figure that out later if I get the chance.

Cletus shot an aside glance at Sani. "If nothing else, cut of its head! We don't need that thing active and angry at us later."

This was when Byakuren swallowed the Nitro. "What kind of fucked-up chems are you on, lady?!"

Then Kohaku injected Gunner. "And just what was in THAT syringe?"

Nanoha figured that Kohaku had the situation handled, and briefly glanced down to...

Her eyes went very wide.

"H-Hijiri-san?" she asked, staring in shock as she watched Byakuren engulf the Nitro's body. That... that was just weird.

"Maybe Japanese medicine just works differently to medicine from... Wherever you're from, ufu~" Kohaku dismissively said to Tyrell, as she packed away her first aid supplies. As for Cletus' question...

"Why, simply a nice little shot of Diazakryptokinokonasuhelianthusannuustrimorphatiumamberine, that's all! It's just a simple painkiller, nothing to be worried about, ufu~"

Gunner waved her arm experimentally, finding it was a relief to move her now painless arm. Then, something about the drug made Gunner feel a little... odd. "Thank you." She said, finding her body a bit warmer than usual. "It's hot." She simply stated, the faintest blush appearing on her face from the blood rush, her eyes slightly hooded.

Byakuren would find that the carcass she swallowed was exceptionally light... as though it was hollow. Sani however, nodded. "That might work." He said, having seen other beings do the same thing the monk did. Soon, the rumbling clouds dispersed their load of liquid, the drops raining down upon those on the corn stalk.

"Uh, sure. Maybe. I'm from a land called Weyard." Tyrell's thoughts however revealed he wasn't QUITE so ignorant about medicine as he acted. He wasn't a doctor but he had died and gotten hurt so many times he'd picked up a few things about medicine while he recovered. His Auntie Mia had made sure of that when she hammered home just how much work he made for the healers when he did something stupid.

That settles it. No real doctor would ever risk confusion by giving a drug such a long and complicated name. Especially not something as unimportant as painkiller. I refuse to believe any real doctor would do that, it's irresponsible. The students could end up giving people constipation aids or something instead by mistake. Kohaku's up to something, but what is it? And how do I prove it?

"Well, there's always bound to be one or two side effects..." Kohaku mumbled. "But aren't you glad you have your old friend Kohaku-chan to help out when things like this happen~?" She winked at Gunner, and gave her non-damaged arm a light, friendly slap.

She noticed Byakuren's meal, but didn't really have much response to it. After all, she'd known people who drink human blood (in at least one case, her own), so she couldn't exactly judge someone's culinary habits. Even if Purple-chan would've enjoyed it more if I cooked it, ufu~

"Meta-chan, are you alright?" Byakuren questioned, rushing over to the Gunner and resisting the urge to poke and prod and hug... now that the danger had passed—or at least stopped being violent and threatening—she was more concerned with the mechanic's health. Even people's alarmed stares were secondary to that, "If you want, I'll give you a hug. Hugs are good, they make people feel better!"

The magician didn't want to see the Gunner hurt, for whatever reason.

Rey nodded slightly, moving to the Doctor's side and flying at his ear level, whispering to him, then nodding and speaking out loud. "All right. Doctor, I will have you made the modifications on the way." He turned his attention to the others. "Fluttershy, we are going to be forming a caravan on our way...I'll need you to fly above us and keep your eyes open for any oncoming attackers. Greivous, Mehir, Antroz, you will be with me to protect our fleet as we move. I will take the lead, the three of you distribute amongst the vehicles...two behind, one in the middle. Between us this should take care of our journey."

He flew upwards, smirking a bit at...what looked like a fairly ordinary dead tree a short distance away, with a large number of crows settled and squawking among the branches. "And I have left a surprise for our friends when they come to meet us. Now, everyone in line. Let our Tears form a trail over the land."

Nanoha wasn't sure at all what to say about the way Byakuren had swallowed the entire corpse and apparently shunted it into hammerspace. There was just really no way to know what to say to that. She was confused... and now it was raining. Nanoha decided to wait until after Byakuren was done checking on Gunner to ask how she had swallowed that bird thing.

For the most part, we are not the same group that fought with him, but some of us were there and remember. I am not one. Sadly, it is Rey and the Doctor who were there. They could tell you more, were they...themselves."

"Yesh, I'm awrite. I feel betta than fine. I feel amazin." Gunner responded in a husky, dazed tone as Byakuren hugged her. If one was looking at her face, they would see Gunner's eyes seemed a bit glazed, that her cheeks were flushed, and that her breathing seemed a bit... awkward.

The rain did not help at all as it began drenching everyone, the warm drops of water only serving to lend a more exotic atmosphere for Gunner's strange behavior, as well as bits of visible breaths that flowed out of the woman's mouth whenever she exhaled.

Grievous nodded and then turned to Mehir and Antroz. He pointed at the center column.

“I will take this position, you two to the back. I trust that you can both handle any problems that might occur?”

Then Grievous turned and climbed aboard an organist, intending on riding on the higher machine to keep a look out.

And Rey's cmmanded, she ecstatically nodded in pleasure. "Yes, yes, I go watch out for any bastards STUPID enough to take us on!" she said. "See, I told you you'd feel much better after I was done with you, Meta-chan~" said Kohaku, as she too hugged Gunner, turning it into a three-way group hug. She didn't seem all that concerned about the rain. "And if something like that ever happens again, don't hesitate to ask for help, okay?"

She drew her lips close to Gunner's ear and added, in a whisper, "You can trust me with anything, ufu~"

Tyrell took note of Gunner's odd behavior. Weird breathing, turns red, slurred words, happy feelings, the same look I used to get in my eyes when eating Loki's chicken...there are no painkillers that have those side effects. She put something else in that mix, I'm sure of it. But what? And why? And what is she whispering? Damn it I wish I was a Venus Adept! Then I could just read her mind and find out.

Tyrell joined in the hug to see if he could eavesdrop. And because it's hugs. Who doesn't like free hugs? Especially with girls?

Well, hugs were always nice... but Gunner seemed a little out of it. Nanoha was kind of worried about that. But maybe it was just a side effect of the painkiller that Kohaku had injected her with. Nanoha knew that things like that sometimes made you feel a little out of it, last time she had a cold the medicine she got made her feel like she was in a fog. But it was still a little worrying.

Nanoha drifted close to Gunner and the others, but didn't join in the hug. Mostly because there was no room.

"Yesh... I can trust you with anything..." Gunner repeated, looking at Kohaku with a slightly sycophantic look in her eyes, as if the maid was her idol. By now, it seemed that there was indeed something off about Gunner. It was as if the person was within the grip of Fairy Dust, the natural byproduct of the Common Arad Fae that healed both body and mind, a little too much.

Sani frowned at Kohaku, his eyes casting a disapproving gaze upon the event. "Ya know, in most countries, it's illegal to drug people like that." The rainbow haired man said, obviously seeing what happened.

Cletus had seen Kohaku's action, and the made-up drug name cemented it. He had clambered up the corn stalk, making his way over to the group hug. He drew his fist back, and delivered a mighty punch towards Kohaku's kidney.

"Hmmm? You mean it's illegal to use simple medicine he-" Kohaku began, but was cut off by a swift punch to the gut. She fell to her knees, and coughed loudly, spraying a small yet noticable amount of red liquid on the ground below her.

"Ah... It... It's not fake..." she gasped, although she didn't sound like she was in pain. "I... M-made it myself... Still... Still need to work out the... The kinks, ufuuuu..."

If the spell hit properly, loops of magical energy would form around Cletus's limbs, preventing him from attacking again. Provided this worked, Nanoha flew closer.

Gunner too assumed a position in front of Kohaku after wiggling from Byakuren's and Tyrell's embrace, her slight frame dwarfed by Fletus' substantially larger male body. As if to distinguish how easily she could be overcome by the larger man, she was unarmed and wearing and injured. "Please... no violence..." The Gunner said, her voice husky from a combination of the drug and her determination not to let her ally be harmed, a brief flash of the original self reappearing in her eyes.

"I'll take your word for it..." Sani replied, not sure what to make of the scene. On one hand, the blonde woman was clearly out of it. On the other hand, she was being defended by multiple people and was attacked rather violently, so his sympathy went towards the maid.
