final fantasy x-2
for the lulz
This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?KH 2 is a horrible offense that should be erased from all existence....
So X-2 or XII I guess.
Umbran Climax◊kingdom hearts 2 isnt as funny as the masterpiece known as Final Fantasy X-2
it is the best worst unneeded sequel of all time

This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?Hey, Kingdom Hearts 2 was pretty well received by most people, and FFX-2...
Well, it's a great game, as in the mechanics and battle system. The story and such is much more debated though.

I don't have a PS 3, but I hear Little Big Planet 2 is really, really, good.
Yeah, Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is awesomesauce, but I can't take the story, since it is the most horrible thing I have ever seen, especially after 10's story. Let me put an example from a conversation with a friend:
Friend: So, I hear you guys comparing X-2's story to X's many times. Was the later's story that good.
Me: Well, you know how most games have that moment that makes you feel something nice within your heart, and maybe makes you cry?
Friend: Like Zelda and Link's relationship in Spirit Tracks?
Me: Yeah, like that. So, this game's heartwarming moment occurs when the protagonist is telling his dad he hates him, while crying over the events of the game.
Friend:... Okay...
Me: Did I mention he's telling him that while he's dying?
Friend:...
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.X-2's story isn't all that bad. It's execution on the other hand, can be charitably described as "grating".
@Jotun: I declare holy war on you, heathen.
Likes many underrated webcomicsI don't know what your talking about; the leveling in x-2 drove me insane. I did all the side quests and made sure to do everything before completing a chapter........but I was still only at level 30 at the end. T_T Had to restart and level grind for hours each chapter to keep up. I swear that game hated me.
"Your Sig is now charmingly out of date" — Vox, 7/6/2016i dont think there was a need for a sequel because anyone with a brain will know tidus/meg ryan is just a figment of a dream/nightmare
granted battle system and music is nice
but the indecisive story and the blatant Fanservice is just terrible and filled with Narm
which i find is a delight to laugh
This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone? The problem is, I'm not "in the mood" for a game with that kind of story. Every time I tried playing the game, I just couldn't take it.
Moving on, finally got Princess Ashe in my party... She's... How may I say it? A bit of a bitch, perhaps?
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal. She gets Character Development...a lot more than any other party member in this game.
Welcome to th:|princess ashe does get character development (though she is quite a bitch indeed)
and while the game will feel frustrating
i think its the best ps2 final fantasy game ever with no Snark Bait intended
the battle system is more streamlined and the setting and music reminds me of Star Wars
which is always a plus
This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?I can't get over how dumb Ashe (and Basch's) outfit is. Really, just shoddy.
Against all tyrants.better than the... clothes (?) rikku wore in both ffx and x-2
This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?ON FFX-2's Merits:
Is 100% unbelievably difficult and boring as fuck and not worth it at all? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean all the optional stuff is crap.
Choosing to explore is rewarded with greater understanding of the plot. You learn about all the events that lead up to the current circumstances in Spira. Playing just the main game leaves so many vital things unexplained.
It also deprives you of some of the most powerful moments in the game. Hello, Den of Woe.
In addition to uncovering significant things about the past, doing certain optional missions will alter the future of the game. You can change so many things, big and small, within the overall storyline. Not doing certain missions results in genocide for example.
So, what does all this mean? I guess what I'm trying to say is that Final Fantasy X-2 gives you a bigger ROLE in PLAYING the GAME. I applaud it for dispensing with a tired formula that held the other F Fs back.
On FFXII's Merits:
My strategy for enjoying this game's story was simple.
Ignore Ashe.
Ignore Vaan.
Ignore Basch.
Ignore Balthier.
HATE Fran
Adore Penelo.
This is because the game isn't about any of these boring idiots. It's about the Empire. Yeah Vayne is there but there are so many antagonists way better than him in this game.
The game really does reserve the best moments and development and all of that for the Imperial characters.
So, if you're looking for the true story of the game, the center of character development and growth, look to the Imperials. Only time you really need to think about the "main characters" is during gameplay and even then, they'r eall indistinct and bland.
In conclusion, FFXII is much better than FFX-2. So you made the right choice. But X-2 is a decent game as well and I'd recommend it for the future.
