The scale doesn't look right...we need something that's clearly on a planetary scale and that looks like it's happening in the next room.
I've got it this◊ does a good job of showing what it looks like. That is a Mark 9 from Stargate SG-1, though we could also use the◊ Dakara◊ superweapon◊ from the same show, which incedently can be calibrated to have any number of effects. Stargate's Sentinel device◊ works too.
Hmm... I can't see the link but now that you mention it Titan A.E.◊ would make a good illustration.
I believe that the image for this page should be similair to the image we have for World-Healing Wave, because World-Wrecking Wave is basically the Spear Counterpart to World-Healing Wave. If this image◊ works for World-Healing, then the image Willbyr posted◊ should be good for World-Wrecking.

In between Not Even Human and Not Quite HumanThat's not what Spear Conterpart means. Spear means "male compared to female", for instance Male Gaze is the Spear Counterpart to Female Gaze. This relation ship is Inverted Trope.
Fight smart, not fair.Ok, we've got plenty of options now, so we just have to get consensus on which one to use as the page image, and which ones gets put in image links, which we will need to create a page for. For my part I'd have to say that Forecharmer does have a point about the synergy of Willbyr's image with the image for world healing wave that may be the quality that is most important in demonstrationing both tropes in a clear, cross-referential manner.
Clock is set.
Looks like I'm a bit late to the party, but I saw the Image Pickin' tag on the article and immediately thought of this◊, from the opening video of MS Saga.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

This is ready to call. The new pic is up, potholed, and tagged; caption or no?
"Pretty sure the insurer won't cover that, they were in the blast radius"?
*snerk* I like that.
It's too grammatically incorrect for me to like it.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.By all means, won't you please help me not make an ass of myself with poor grammar? Or would that deprive the world of a sorely needed source of amusement?
"Pretty sure the insurer won't cover that; they were in the blast radius."
Still not entirely correct*, but works conversationally.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything."The insurer probably won't cover that..." (Or "the insurance agency", "insurer" is weird IMO.)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Added one of the caption options; locking up.

How about this◊ from Beast Wars? I'm thinking with a caption like: "Piss off an alien so advanced it considers UNICRON A Form You Are Comfortable With? Expect some changes, on a global scale."
