When Terry Pratchett died, they were vomiting out stories within an hour.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.People trying to generate controversy and get noticed. They didnt care about the downvotes. All they cared about was the publicity.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.I recall there was once a story called "Would it matter if I was", where Twilight (wrongly) suspects Fluttershy of being a changeling. It spawned a bunch of reference and copy-cat fics, leading up to one titled "Yes it would matter" which, as I understand it, used the situation for a very unflattering allegory on terrorism. And by 'unflattering' I mean 'outright Islamophobic'.
Bear in mind I only know this second-hand, so take it with a grain of salt. But the author of the offending story is one Reality Check, more widely known as Ralph Hayes Jr, who is well-known for being outspokenly, aggressively Christian (Which is fine) and frequently preaching it in most of his stories (Which is... mostly fine), along with many traditional messages such as 'Feminists are bitter they're ugly', 'liberals are deluded morons at best and malicious liars at worst' and 'wives should be subservient to their husbands' (though that last one... may have been satirical on his part? Either way, less fine).
Basically I can't 100% say the story was racist, but the author is on the edge enough that I can believe it.
Eh... Ralph Hayes Jr inspired me to start making comics when I was a kid. I made the first work I ever really finished after I read Tales Of The Questor. It's always a little bit depressing to remember what a twat badger he is.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I did read "Yes, It Would Matter", and I can confirm it had plenty of Islamophobic Unfortunate Implications. And then in the comment section, Reality Check made those implications very, very explicit.
Though there is something deeply ironic that Reality Check's pro-bigotry story ends with Fluttershy coming out as a changeling and getting accepted by Twilight—while GaPJaxie's original pro-acceptance story ends with Fluttershy using her changeling powers to brainwash Twilight and hide her own nature, thus leaving pony-changeling relations just as volatile as they were at the start.
Are the FOE characters (Littlepip, Calamity, Velvet Remedy, etc) actually in the FOE mod for New Vegas at this point?
Oh, hey, look, a new draft that's slightly less late than usual.

FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiSo because I wasn't able to get any writing done this weekend due to appendix surgery, I instead wrote up a rambling blog post timeline thing about how a parallel Equestria fell apart without the Magic of Friendship in one of my fics.

According to someone on Insert Author Here's FI Mfiction Profile who claims to be his brother, IAH passed away just three days after he was last seen on that site. He was the author of the My Little Alicorn series, and I liked his Keeping Your Hooves On the Ground story and his blog posts. R.I.P.

Never welcome news. I remember when news broke that Loyal had committed suicide. He wrote the Archmage series, and I was a huge fan, and I remember beating myself up because my first reaction in the numbness stage was "But... what about the stories?" instead of "Oh no, I hope his family and friends are alright."
But good god, that sucks. He had celebrated his birthday only a month before, too.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. After a brief hiatus because surgery, Chapter XIII of "Lessons in Chaos" is drafted.

I was a fan of IAH. And he was a fan of my first ponyfic too. That's really sucky.
I wasn't that big on MLA (or Archmage) myself (though they could probably stand rereads), but it's sad all the same.
@Tobias: Is Mirror!Shining Armor meant to be even more of a Hate Sink than his sister? I'm looking forward to someone denying him permission to speak. (On the other hand, this time it was towards an even bigger Hate Sink, so I can't really complain.)
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.Mirror Shining Armor is in a similar boat to his sister, in a sense. He spent the duration of the Changeling War as Chrysalis's prisoner. He spent two years as a P.O.W. to the creature that replaced the love of his life and vampirically used him to help bring down his own nation.
Like Acting Princess Twilight, the dude's not really fit to be serving right now, especially in the capacity of a high-ranking authority figure. There's a lot of "We're the good guys, the fate of the world rests on our shoulders and ours alone, and that makes it okay to behave like this," going around the Crystal Palace.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Would this be the right place to post some of the custom MtG cards I've designed for the Mane 6 + others for my in-progress fanfic series?
I say go for it! It's a fan-creation so it totally counts.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Cool. Color pie arguments aside, these are the designs I've posted for the Mane 6 + a few other important characters in my current My Little Planeswalker series:
The Mane 6:
Legendary Planeswalker — Twilight
+1: Twilight, Alicorn Ascendant deals 1 damage to up to one target creature. Up to one other target creature gains prowess until end of turn.
-1: Discard a card. If you do, draw two cards.
-6: You get an emblem with “You have no maximum hand size” and “Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your hand, you may put that card into your hand instead of into your graveyard as it resolves.”
3
It was pretty difficult to balance this one, especially given the ultimate is a slightly weaker version of Tamiyo, The Moon Sage. I think the overall power of the -1 makes up for it though, given that it has a very strong utility, especially in the late game when you have lands in your hand that you might not need.
Legendary Creature — Unicorn Vampire
UR, T: Target opponent gains control of target permanent you control.
At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent loses X life, where X is the number of permanents you own that your opponents control. You gain life equal to half the life lost this way, rounded up.
“Be careful with that jewelry, darling. It’s quite sharp.”
2/4
Legendary Creature — Pegasus
Flying
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to creature tokens you control.
3GW, T: Populate, then populate again. (Create a token that's a copy of a creature token you control. Then do it again.)
“Don’t you worry, little ones. I’ll take good care of you.”
2/8
Legendary Creature — Pegasus Soldier
Flying, haste
Whenever Rainbow Dash, Wonderbolt attacks, all combat damage that would be dealt to other creatures you control this turn is dealt to Rainbow Dash instead.
Whenever Rainbow Dash, deal combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
4/2
“I'll always have your back. That's what makes me the awesomest!”
This card was designed to be both blazingly fast as well as versatile: useful as either a solo beatstick or a way to protect an army of creatures.
Either way, Rainbow is going to be the one that's at the center of attention in combat, fittingly.
Legendary Creature — Horse
Applejack, Orchard Tender can't be countered.
Players can cast nongreen spells only during their own turns.
“Here on Sweet Apple Acres, we do things simple.”
5/5
The inspiration for this card was Dosan the Falling Leaf, who prevents any number of counterspells, combat tricks, and other less-than-honest ways of playing the game.
Legendary Creature — Horse
Each nonland card you own that isn't on the battlefield has madness. The madness cost is equal to the card's mana cost reduced by up to 2. (If you discard a card with madness, discard it into exile. When you do, cast it for its madness cost or put it into your graveyard.)
At the beginning of your upkeep, discard a card at random.
“What can I say? Sometimes I even surprise myself!”
3/3
Mechanically, this card was designed to answer the question "how can I capture the spontaneity and weirdness of a truly unpredictable character within the limits of a game defined by its rigid ruleset?" This was the answer I found.
May do another post with some of the side characters later.

Makes sense to me. While Fluttershy has had a sort of vampire thing before that was really more akin to lycanthropy, if anypony was going to become a traditional vampire, it'd probably be Rarity.
That said, this would be a super-fun card to design a deck around. Totally a Johnny card. So many options for how to use her "drawback" to actually double the whammy.
Either way, Rainbow is going to be the one that's at the center of attention in combat, fittingly.
Yeah, but only for five seconds. Her 2 Toughness makes it trivially easy to Shock her out of the fight and even if that option wasn't on the table, her drawback provides a useful 'out' for dealing with her 4 Power - especially if one of your creatures has First Strike.
Since you can kill her by slugging someone else that's attacking, she might as well not even have combat evasion. If she attacks with even so much as one other creature, she will pretty much always go down. The +1/+1 counters are cool, but there are much cheaper ways of getting that effect.
With haste and her distraction effect, she's pretty exclusively a finisher; something you play because you intend to win the game this turn, before your opponent has a chance to answer. As such, I'm not sure her second ability really contributes much but padding out her casting cost; it will never be relevant, because she will not live through her first turn on the board. She exists to achieve nothing and die stupidly so that your other creatures can win the game.
Madness will do it, yeah. I ran a Vampire Madness deck in Shadows Over Innistrad and one feature of Madness commonly overlooked is the fact that it requires only that a game effect force you to discard a card; it does not give a single solitary shit about whose turn it is or what phase you're playing the card in.
I liked to call that "Madness-Flashing" cards onto the board, in honor of a mechanic not typically associated with B or R. The game gets goddamn crazy when basic assumptions like "You're supposed to block with creatures you already had in play when my turn began" are overturned. Permanents being able to enter play whenever you goddamn want them to is pretty much the essence of spontaneity, and is really hard to counter.
And the fact that she actually makes the Madness costs cheaper can potentially lead to some massively powerful Flash-combos. This strikes me as one of those cards where either you find an answer to her by the end of your turn once she comes out or you concede. You get one turn to nip Pinkie Pie in the bud. Once she gets going, nothing's going to stop her.
