Cakama: I think part of the reason for these reactions, at least mine, is because I don't want this being put in future games. We have to send a message NOW before its too late and everybody does this!
edit:EVERYBODY READING THIS THREAD:
Tell anyone and everyone you know that in any way has an interest in gaming. Spread the word now so a message can be sent promptly and painfully.
edit 2: And post this article to other forums while you're at it. This needs to get out fast before the game comes out and people buy it without realizing!

So people are "bitter shitheads" because they might want to lend a game to a friend or replay it from the start?
That's my big fear. Imagine what this could mean for games with branching paths? Should I have to buy inFAMOUS twice to see both endings?

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.^^^Better get the word out, then. The more people that say "no" to this, the more likely Capcom is to listen.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelTsk, tsk, tsk.
Bad Capcom, bad.
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.Wow... that's pretty stupid, Capcom. You're just asking for trouble. A move like that is only going to make things worse, y'know.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI wasn't going to get this game, and I sure as hell aren't now. I only hope that they don't start doing it with series I actually care about.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!And here I was, thinking they'd learned their lesson about not screwing over customers when their DRM on Bionic Commando led to it not being able to be played online OR offline when PSN was down.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I have a belief that all corporate heads liked to huff paint as children. And still do so to this day.
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.
Which will be impressive since there is no piracy for the 3DS yet.
Wouldn't surprise me.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadBut games are meant to be replayable from time to time, especially those with multiple endings and such. This sounds so stupid.
"Liar liar on the wall, give the world to me..."See, when a company like Microsoft does something indicating that they don't understand gamers, I can kinda empathize with them. They aren't a gaming company. Same for Sony. But this...come on, Capcom. Gamers are your entire customer base!
Infinite Tree: an experimental story
A mindset like that is why you'll never be the head of a major video game company!
Something like this is really only possible on the 3DS, where game saves are tied to the cartridge itself. On any other system, you could simply rid your hard drive/memory stick of save file yourself.
So, I'm not too worried on this showing up on any other platform. ...For now, anyway.

Possible nintendo conspiracy? Must investigate further.

No, Thorn! You're getting too close to the truth! They'll silence you!
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The Mad@Rationalinsanity Okay, I can understand the other points but the idea of it being done for something like Infamous is silly.
Let's be RATIONAL about this. Why is Capcom doing it? Is it because they hate their customers? No. Is it out of spite? No. It concerns two things: Two UNDERSTANDABLE things. One: They are a business, and so, yes, they are greedy in the sense that they wish to make more money. But the second reason is more important: This game has no storyline: It is merely a series of arcade-style survival modes. I work at a gamestop myself, and I know for a fact that we are going to get a HOARD of these coming in after release because, well, to be honest, there simply isn't a whole lot of CONTENT to the game.
I can understand WHY they're doing it. I don't think they SHOULD. But I get why.
And they CAN'T do this for anything besides cartridge-based games. The Infamous comparison is a little silly. Besides the fact that the game has a storyline, and thus BENEFITS from multiple playthroughs, the game data saves on the console. Not on the disk. It would be impossible.
I am not going to buy this game either. Besides having little interest in it, Capcom is annoying me as well. But we need not get all panicky that this is going to be going elsewhere.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THISI don't think that this will spread to consoles either, but Capcom has shown a lack of better judgment in recent years at an alarmingly high rate.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI'm starting to see why Inafune left in the first place.
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself. We don't know though. A little idea like this could spark the attention of someone else in the industry and give them an idea. Maybe they won't exactly do this but something similar. Point is we need to stop them now before this idea spreads and mutates.
Why did he leave? Do we know?

I am sure complaining about it on the internet will stop them in their tracks.
Read my stories!
There's also the fact that, if Mercenaries DOES sell well, you can bet your ass this won't be the last time we'll be seeing this crap.
