@Couchpotato: Uh, what are you talking about? I was agreeing that it's not the worst cartoon ever.
The animation IS kinda sucky, tho. Sure, you can say 'There's worse' without lying, but 'There's worse' doesn't equal 'It's good!'
Yeah, I think the argument against is more, "Why waste resources producing season after season of something so mediocre?"
This. I think that's what I've been trying to say, anyway.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.@Physical Stamina
I was just saying that those shows are fail in comparison to Johnny Test which is the best decent show on Cartoon Network.
@Napoleon De Cheese
Bloody freaking hell, enough about animation being a determination for whether a show is good. It's terrible argument and it doesn't work no matter how much emphasis you put on it. Ninjago has impressive animation yet that doesn't mean "it's better".
@Bag Of Magic Food
If anything can be called "mediocre" and something not worth using time to produce a new season it's Looney Tunes show. Of all episodes they've done I was only barely able to certify one episode (specifically the one with Cecil turtle) as passable because it was reminiscent of the old school Looney Tunes cartoons.
@Sorastich
It's "couch".
I'm not ignoring anything your saying. If I was I'd stop talking to you period. If anything the only reason I'm bothering to respond is because I'm a masochist.
You've not once produce an iota of evidence of why this show lacks quality. Not one. The only ones you have it' because "the animation sucks, yak yak". Looney Tunes show does the same thing, as does Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Ed Edd n Eddy, The Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy, Dexter's Laboratory. You're being so overly critical with your criticism it's painful.
Now I know you're nostalgic of the golden age of Cartoon Network but this show is one of those and has those same pieces of quality. However, you're on the fact that "awww it's one of those stupid computer created shows". Seriously, that's a beyond dumb argument.
On another note:"Recycles plots"? Have you even seen one episode of the show? Mind that, have you even seen a single season? I'm more convinced that you have wiki'd episode summaries rather than watched a single one or spent a few minutes watching it.
If by "recycling plots" you're referring to the Johnny vs Bling Bling it's called being a traditional element, consistence. Like how Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends like how Bloo will sometimes do something stupid, get in trouble, or act like a jerk. Plots which are created because of his negligence is due to him being a curious child. It's difficult for that to come about if he's the 11 year old he is. The same happens much of the time on the Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy.
If the show was such "crap" like you put it then I doubt it'd be 5 star'd on Amazon.com reviews for season 1+2 DVD and Season 3 + 4 DVD.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenDid you put up those reviews?
Also, I'm not nostalgic for the old days of cartoon network since I still enjoy shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show.
Furthermore, bad animation isn't the sole reason I hate and it's actually really low on the list. And by recycling plots, I mean when they recycled the same fucking race episode 3 fucking times.
And I don't have to show you how this show's bad quality. Everyone else here seems to get the idea except for you.

my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEEDude you're wasting your time. If the Family Guy thread is anything to go by, he's just going to continue accusing people of being biased.

@Sorastich
Har har har.
No I didn't put up those reviews my self.
Also you've come across as very hypocritical sir. You say that "Johnny Test" is crap and has bad quality and yet you're saying a lackluster show like Adventure Time and Regular Show is enjoyable.
By that flawed logic you can call them just as terribly crafted as Johnny Test. But wait, here's the difference Johnny Test is good on a review basis and you're being very biased.
Also the race thing is hardly "recycling". It's called being traditional. Similar to how Mario Kart has a game whenever new characters enter the picture that's what Johnny Test does. How that's difficult to understand is flabbergasting.
Actually, sir you do have to prove why this show is "bad quality" because unless you do I'm inclined to say that you don't have good taste.
Also no everyone doesn't have me pegged on why the show is bad.
The show wins by reviews and the only reason it's bad to you guys is because of opinion myopia.
@Lionheart 0
So now you're stooping to historionics? That's hardly way to prove your point. It's terrible and and it does nothing to prove why you're a better debater.

"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenIt's quite easy to do when you continue to repeat the same behaviors. So yeah, I make it a policy to not bother debating people who Complain about people not liking the show or accuse detractors of having Nostalgia Filter.

...
Yikes.
Back on topic, I'm I'm indifferent to Johnny Test.
.....
Posting the reviews for a Johnny Test DVD set is jut to prove how enjoyable this show is.

"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -Mugen@Lion heart0
I was speculating on the reason for the dislike of the show amongst people. Sorastich told me it wasn't and I called his argument hypocritical. I'm not criticizing people for disliking the show I'm criticizing the arguments of people who dislike the show. I think the arguments made are ridiculously flawed. First it was "animation", then it was "recycled plot". I pointed out if it was animation then by that logic Adventure Time sucks. It's not recycling plot having a racing episode, it's called being traditional.There's a difference.

Yeah, this did get ugly. I'm locking it down for a 48-hour cool-down. Sorastich may be the only one I've thumped (so far), but he wasn't the only one contributing to the acrimony.

Actually, no, this isn't a cool-down lock. This is a permanent lock. When a thread is 30% bickering and rudeness, there's very little chance that it will get back on track. When nearly 100% of the recent posts are bickering and rudeness, the probability plummets even further.
First off, this thread was necro'd from nearly two years ago. That alone isn't enough reason to lock it, but it was apparently necro'd to complain that people don't like it. And from there it went downhill extremely fast.
Couch Potato, while you didn't get as blatantly rude as Sorastich, stating that someone else has no reason for considering a show bad is still not civil. Stating that their reason isn't good enough is not civil. In terms of the quality of a work, "Good" and "Bad" are subjective; the fact that you like a show or don't mind a style of animation doesn't mean that you can demand that everyone agree with you; if they don't like it, they don't like it. If they dislike a style of animation, they have no obligation to look any further than that as a reason to not like the show.

@Robbie Rotten
I would be less on the case of people if they wouldn't use a stupid argument like: "It's the animation! The animation sucks!"
