I want to salvage it, if only because Dangerously Genre-Savvy always seemed like it shouldn't be exclusive to villains the way it is now.
Cut and send it back to YKTTW if it got a last minute name change/redefine. It may be a worthy trope like you said, but it definitely sounds like a duplicate to me.
Fight smart, not fair.Any further comment on this? Are you thinking of working on it here nrjxll, or does returning it to the YKTTW for salvaging work for you as well?
I'd also object to the way that the description is using Murder Is the Best Solution quite wrongly... that's for cases where there are far more rational approaches that could be taken, not for when Murder genuinely is the best option.
I'd rather send it back to YKTTW and go from there.
We already have Pragmatic Villainy

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian
No-Nonsense Nemesis was launched yesterday, and as currently written, is a duplicate of Dangerously Genre-Savvy.
"Basically, the character refuses to carry the Hero or Villain Ball. They may be Genre Savvy or simply very practical, and won't delay or take unnecessary chances when their objective is at hand. For example, the villain really does think that Murder Is the Best Solution, and no, they aren't going to do any Evil Gloating or exposit on their plan before shooting, thank you very much."
From the YKTTW, it looks as if the original intent was specifically "aversions to Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?", but it got a last second name change, and a more broadly-written description which overlaps entirely with Dangerously Genre-Savvy.
So, cut as duplicate, or can this be salvaged?
