Ooh yeah, that's still a thing, isn't it? It's a September release, isn't it?

Wow, so much bile here. Come on, people, even if it doesn't look good, can't you just give it even a sliver of a chance? Y'all are being pretty brutal to something that makes no bones about how much of a kids' movie it is. (And yeah, kids shouldn't be talked down to or pandered to, but they could like it anyway.)

The reviews aren't pleasant. Several reviews I've seen say that the movie barely appeals to those over 5.

We already got a Planes 2. It will be released in 2014 sometime. This one will most likely be direct-to-video.

I'm not particularly happy about this movie (if you saw the previous post here...), but I'll just have to see it, hope for the best, and prepare for the worst.

It might be actually decent.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.

Damn. Disney actually spent money to have the Disneytoon studios animate a Planes COMMERCIAL FOR AN AIRLINE. - _ -

Oh no, they did a tie-in promotion. That's so horrible.

Saw the film and thought it was better than Turbo(Both are one shots for me but both equally good). It was kind of amazingly dark in the third act when there was a traitor and then they had a war scene. Brad Garret was awesome and The Latin cover of "Love machine" was pretty funny.

Also love the credit art.

Jezabels is quick to accused the movie of sexism.

Jezebel's quick to assume that most things are sexist.

Well, while the article may be a bit extreme in its language, it certainly makes plenty of good points. And honestly, most instances of sexism in the media are not intentional, but rather due to internalized things promoted by society, but that doesn't make them any less wrong.

Yeah, the 'ladies' bit is rather sexist, especially since there's a million terms to mock someone's lack of speed without touching their gender.

That, I do agree with.

Also, it would have been awesome if the Evil Champ was a dark coloured girl. That would have been much more original.

(I don't get though, how she critiques monsters inc being about "Rival Fraternities" while there were clearly sororities in the Scare Games. HSS even came in 3rd!)

That's a fair point. But some of the language used is so over the top it is pretty hard to take seriously despite it being valid criticism.

This movie just got the Ani Mat's Seal of Garbage. I can't say that I'm surprised. The Toon studios have a bad track record for a reason, and the story is so overdone that I doubt anyone could make a good movie out of it.

I'm still incensed. They promised to stop doing the direct-to-video sequels! And now they not only did one, but gave it a theatrical release again! I'm just glad that it was a CGI movie this time around, and not a traditionally animated one. But when will they ever learn? They are just undermining their own reputation for a quick buck!

It is still a direct to video product based on a (more or less) successful movie from one of the main studios, only that it's Pixar this time around and not the animation studios. Same difference. However they call it, it's just a cash in...the Toon studios should better try to create a good TV-show, god knows that Disney really needs something else than singing teenagers in their program.

Saw the movie yesterday. Pretty good IMO. At least it's better than Cars 2.tongue

After I saw the movie, I joked about another spin-off of Cars. I was pretty sure that it would be Robots. And GIANT robots at that.

Robots? It's been done. (Though, granted, it's kinda mediocre. It has Amanda Bynes, though, so I can't hate it <3)
