I remember the first one suffering from massive overhype. Perhaps this one will fare better(or worse) since we know what to expect now.
I didn't like the way War was designed personally, he looked like a meatheaded goon. Hoping he gets a cooler redesign.
D: I read the thread tittle as "Darkstalkers 2"...

You aren't alone.
I dig Death's voice.
I'm really excited for this. Absolutely loved the first one, and I'm very interested in seeing how things play out from Death's perspective. It apparently takes place alongside the first Darksiders, so we'll see how that turns out. Also yeah, Death's voice is brilliant.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.I hope strife has a bigger role this time around. As in, an actual role.
“My body is ready. I’m gonna take your names, take your ass, and then we’ll be making games”. - Reggie Fils-Aime, CEO of Nintendo AmericaI was interested in the first Darksiders, but it launched alongside Bayonetta so yeah. Still i gotta love the design they gave Death. Sure, he looks sorta like a steroid-abusing pro wrestler but that's honestly a refreshing change from the slender goth typeset death personifications get shoved into regularly... Wait does he have Emo hair?
Personally i wonder how they'd handle Pestilence and Famine.
Bleye knows Sabers. They're called Strife and Fury in Darksiders.
Strife is a Dual Wielding gunner and Fury is a female whip user.

You know, those four seem less like the four harbringers of the apocalypse and more like a heavily adorned metal band or a group of Dungeons And Dragons adventurers dreamt up by fifteen year olds. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's true in my eyes.
Bleye knows Sabers.Must have. With all the differences from the first game, I'm dying to get my hands on this.
If it's just a rehash of the original with the rest of the horsemen it would still be a fun romp.
And that's what the original was, really- a fun romp with some crowning moments, not a revolution or a work of art.
Keith Szarabajka's in this! Awesome! (but he's not death.) That's man's fricking everywhere these days.

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Damn, I was kind of hoping you could play as all the Horsemen (well, Horsepeople), but playing as the Great Leveller himself will be a pleasure. The first one set a pretty good precedent, Zelda reskin though it was.
@ Shirow Shirow: If that hair is emo, I'll eat my copies of Metalocalypse and chase it down with The Crow. Kind of odd that Death has any hair though, not having a scalp to grow it out of and all.

Aww, did I hurt your widdle fee-fees?This version isn't a skeleton, just young Arnie with a head transplant.
Although I do wonder how they could balance him. The original game's tie-in comic had him being stabbed by War with apparently no ill effect whatsoever.
The body's Schwarzenegger-esque, true, but his face remains bony. A mask, perhaps?
Aww, did I hurt your widdle fee-fees?Apparently he doesn't have emo hair but a hood, if the latest trailer is accurate.

Wow. There is like no hype for this game on this site. It's out in little over a week!
Anyway, Giant Bomb did a twenty minute Quick Look.
Shows off a nice slice of combat.

Game's out!
Give me cute or give me...something?I hope the next thing they take inspiration from is Borderlands. Running around that scenery as four horsemen would be awesome.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson. This next week is going to be somewhat agonising for me. Rassenfrassen Europe getting the game a week after USA... Oh well, it'll come when it comes, I guess. Can't wait for it either way.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.
E3 reveal incoming.
