You say that as if he was getting paid.
And that someone getting sacked is grounds to remove their contributions.
EDIT: Blanked out now, I guess?

It's just business, to be honest. Keeping him in would've added unnecessary controversy, removing him seems to be justified.
Sorry, blanked it by accident. Was trying to edit and the tab key fucked up.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I agree with Adric.
Basically they gave Jon a cameo for the sake of using Jon's brand for good press and marketing. But now that Jon's brand is poisoned by the controversy, there's been a breach in the metaphorical contract: They can't use Jon's brand for good press and marketing if Jon's brand itself is now with bad press. So they pull the plug entirely.
I don't find it particularly scummy either. It's not like he was a hired employee of the company or anything, they just gave him a gift in exchange for good marketing. He hasn't kept his end of the bargain (by screwing his good press potential by poisoning his brand), so they feel no need to keep their end.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Wonder now if with the controversy Jon, and then letting him go, it would also affect their sales negatively.

It's over Anakin! I have the high ground! It would affect it more if they kept him in there.
It's basically akin to Aflac ditching Gilbert Gottfried after the Japanese Tsunami 'jokes'.
With how big a fan Jon is of the Banjo-Kazooie games, that has to hurt, being cut out of it's Spiritual Successor.
That is of course assuming that the demographic that agrees with their decision is larger than the one that does not.
It might not be.
It's over a minor cameo.
Like in most other situations, the leading demographic resides under the political camp of "who gives a shit?".

Talk about Laser-Guided Karma.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Wonder if that'll change his mind. If it doesn't, it'll mean that he's not as much of a Rare fan as he claims to be.
There's nothing bad about Jon being let go from his voice cameo. I'm actually glad companies are willing to do that when they see a problematic situation arise.
Something similar happened from The Hangover to Mel Gibson's supposed cameo, didn't it?
I agree.
I remember that some of the actors objected to his cameo, so it was dropped.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyThat's a surprisingly mature response actually. He's disappointed but he understands their decision.
Not sure myself how to take it after all that's happened?
Maybe Jon isn't totally lost?
One comment via twitter shouldn't be taken as sign of a trend. If he follows up on that with more behaviour indicating reformation then you can say he isn't totally lost.
in the game, there's a quest where you have to turn into a flower to talk to other flowers because the flowers literarily say "I don't talk to your kind" in your natural forum.
Just c/p Tron's voice onto those bigoted flowers. Everyone wins
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Sorry to dredge up the topic, but was it ever say what happened to his relationship with Normal Boots after all this?
