So they're losing Stabler, who was Badass of the Week once, and the hot chick?
That just leaves them with Munch and Ice-T. Well, Ice-T could save the show. Make him a Dirty Harry-like figure, and toss out all legal proceedings and "rules".
Cause truth be told I'd watch Ice-T pistol-whip the shit outta rapists for an hour.
Got to have 10 minutes of Munch explaining the conspiracy of the weak.
And 3 minutes of whatever leggy DA they bring in that week.
I guess they could take it out of commercial time.
I would totally watch if it was just Munch and Finn.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Fingers crossed for Elias Koteas to show up as a replacement, playing Elliot's never before mentioned cop brother Rob.
Its Casey Jones threatening perps folks, you know it would be fun.
They should just reveal that John Munch is God and that he can do anything.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Those two characters are half the reason why I dislike the show. I remember when I used to watch the first 15 minutes once a week to check if the episode was about Munch or Toutola, but their focus episodes became less frequent and the main two would get more and more time in those episodes anyway.
If the show became more of an ensemble it might improve. Of course it still faces the dillema of the limited range of SVU crimes, which tend to produce repetative storylines, utterly bizarre plots or crimes that should have obviously been investigated by another department. Still at least it has a chance now.
Am I a good man or a bad man?I really wish they would just stop the series now. The new seasons show easily that they're running out of material, and I didn't watch this last season finale so I don't know if it was conclusive enough to quit there, but maybe a special or something to end it? I'm know they won't, since there's still money to be made off it, but I would not be too sad if they just stopped now after 12 seasons. Twelve is a nice number.
Not surprised, considering what I've read about Meloni's dislike of NBC over those negotiations a while back. Wonder what kind of sendoff they'll get?
I assume NBC will at least try to see if the two of them were vital to the show or not. If so, well, then the necessity to cancel will be there anyway. But if not, they get more mileage out.
Honestly, I've been growing weary of Instabler's bullshit, (though Meloni is a good actor). I'd like to see much more of Fin, Munch, Huang, Melinda, CASEY ESPECIALLY, Cragen, hell, everyone.
But especially Fin, Munch and Casey.
I don't hate the leads, but they're too much.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI keep imagining Fin and Munch in some Buddy Cop Show once they leave thanks to these comments.
I'm just mad that Benson and Stabler never got together. Towards the end, that was the sole motivation I had for watching the show until I finally decided to break up with it.
these are the voyages...Isn't Elliot already married? He and his wife, I think they were separated for a while, but last I remember they got back together.
Munch and Finn are the 2 I like also. Finn mainly, and its not just the novelty of seeing one of the first gangster rappers playing a cop. Maybe a cast shuffle is what the show needs, maybe it will kill it.
And the leggy blondes are coming back?! I'll be in my bunk.

Seconding the call for more Munch and Finn. Listening to those two lovebirds snark at each other was part of what made the rest of the show tolerable, even if Meloni's Chin of Justice was hot.
I dunno... Munch got shafted to such a breathtaking degree that I can't see his character being repaired.
He's basically Abe Vigoda at this point.

I'm a skeptical squirrelHmmm... Does it mean we'll get more Munch and Fin? If it dies, I'm all for it
So Munch has retired. Meldrick Lewis makes a cameo, which means I'm going to have to watch the episode. Even though it seems Munch didn't even get to investigate the crime in his final episode.
Am I a good man or a bad man?
;_;
What's to become of SVU now? The last few seasons have been pretty bad IMO, and I really cannot see it getting better with the cast shuffle.
But good God, SVU without the Unstabler? :(
