Nyet, do I have to boycott Jelly Belly too? I'm already avoiding Chick-fil-A and Firefox.
Well. Chick-fil-A I account to staying away from fried food (though I still like their chicken and waffle fries), I'm already using Chrome over Firefox (except on school computers that don't have Chrome and so I use it over Internet Explorer because duh), and I nearly never eat Jelly Bellies anyway even though I like all their flavors...
BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING. Disinterest is so much kinder than outright boycott.
The head of Firefox resign. What's stopping you from going back to it?
hashtagsarestupidThat they hired a man who sent money to anti-gay cause in the first place!
...not really. This is just facetiousness. But all these threatened boycotts are starting to sound like a bit much.
Granted, America could do with less consumption, but still, principles.
Vague, flippant principles...
Honestly, if I boycotted every business I objected to, I'd buy nothing and walk everywhere, so I usually don't bother.
^^True their new guys gotta be clean. God knows what the guy in charge of Chrome has be doing his spare time.

hashtagsarestupidOh, Nestle was just an example. I worked there, in Canada, for a summer once and I had to answer a ton of letters about some minor political thing the local branch had done in the Sudan. I'm not allowed to say any more. The letters were mostly from South Africa, oddly.

Not Three Laws compliant.Hahaha! I am flattered! My wife is wearing a traditional wedding dress. She could wear her dress uniform but I don't like it.
For one day she is not going to be a solider, a radar tech, whatever. She is just going to be the mother of my children and my wife. So she is going to have the dress she wants with the beautiful hair and whatever jewelry she wants.
I don't really know what I want to wear actually. My woman said to pick whatever iI want so long as it coordinates with hers.
I have never really felt like the "man" of the relationship so iI don't see why I should automatically have to wear a guy's gear. But I do like the idea of a waiscoat. That's just classy... But only if a monocle is included...
There I go. Steam punk combines skirts with masculine touches. Maybe she will let me get away with something like that :p
But I prefer fedoras over top hats.
"Oh wait. She doesn't have a... Forget what I said, don't catch the preggo. Just wear her hat." - Question MarcWisconsin is supposed to be a pretty blue state on the balance, aside from the suburbs of Milwaukee apparently, which makes Walker's ascension all the odder (but that's the topic for another thread). I'd say fine (directed at the Silasw)
Polarstern: sounds smashing darling
hashtagsarestupidWaistcoat and skirt combo sounds awesome as hell. Can we haz pictures pretty please? Feel free to cut them off at the neck if you want to be Internet safe.
On less happy topics: Meet the people fighting hard to keep homosexuality illegal in Louisiana.
Signal boost the hell out of this. I like the thought of making homophobes paranoid about their relationships.
Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this.Annnd my state still has one of those laws.
Eh, I don't usually care about those laws staying on the book because they're just meaningless symbols without power. It sucks that they're there, but as long as no national law trumps state law, I could ignore that.
But the stuff about undercover police officers continuing to cox mean into consenting to sex and then arresting them even though it's obvious they can't press charges... yeah how the hell is that still happening? Shouldn't the district and/or state be sued for that.
Polar: LOVE your idea of wedding costume. As for fedora vs top hat, maybe compromise with a bowler? But it's your wedding wear WTFYW as long as it doesn't rile up wife.
Trump delenda est<sotto voce> I like toppers. <goes all pseudo-sulky>
And, a little topper at a jaunty angle with decorative hat-pins of sparkly goodness to keep it there come hell, high wind or just plain low beams? Why do just guys have to have that? Dapper as anything, that is. And, dammit: girls can have that goody, too!

This ain't the Nunnery :P
Polar: Steampunk for wedding? Hell yeah
^ Wrong thread. You want LGBT Rights and Religion.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Oops! Sorry!
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - AszurS'okay. No sweat.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I have a trans friend who finished school in Milwaukee and has been living there in the aftermath. Apparently the two big cities (Milwaukee and Madison, at least I guess) are relatively decent to the LGBTQ community but once you get outside of there... plus there's the usual BS with certain authority figures and such.
Wisconsin actually had a somewhat blue history until fairly recently, although Walker and company are doing their best to stomp on that as hard as they can and as quickly as they can.
