My sentiments exactly dude.
"As long as its something that's either purely cosmetic (say, mounts in World of Warcraft) or it comes out latter for everyone I'm fine with it. "
This. It's not a big deal to me if it doesn't change up the gameplay, or if I can unlock it somehow later, but if it's a weapon or move and no one else ever gets it later, then yeah, it bugs me.
But then, I'm not that bothered by DLC in general soo...
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadI've only preordered a game for DLC once (Dissidia Duodecim) so I don't really have much of an opinion on it, but full-blown levels that can't be gotten anywhere but by pre-ordering would annoy me, especially since I often get systems a while after they're released and have to catch up on old games that can only be found used.
Otherwise, DLC doesn't really bother me. Paying for stuff already on the game disk is a ripoff, but when it adds all new things to games, like characters and levels I think it's pretty nice to extend the longevity of a game.
Welcome to th:|Yeah, but two of those costumes have exclusive Fatalities linked to them (i.e. Scorpion's Toasty! and Sub-Zero's Spine Rip), and you need at least one of the Klassic costumes to access the battle with Klassic Noob Saibot, which is an Achievement for the game. And most of this stuff is already on the disc.
Fuck achievements, I don't need to stroke my e-peen with a big number by my gamertag.
I see no reason why the Klassic Fatalities are a particular loss either-the game's still playing exactly the same.
And it's actually three (you forgot Reptile)

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Still, there was no reason for them to spread all of that content over several shops and the rerelease of the movie when it was already in the game from the beginning. I'm just hoping that they have enough sense to make that proper DLC in the future. If not...
Of course there is a reason! Its called Money.

...Okay, I admit that I pre-ordered Test Drive Unlimited 2 on Steam.
The reward? A Pagani Zonda Tricolore. You have to unlock it during regular gameplay, though, and I had so much trouble playing through TDU2 that I gave up on the game.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific Mackerel...I lost, but that's beside the point.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Well now! I stand corrected.
I pre-ordered two games as my first pre-order ever; Transformers War For Cybertron and Front Mission Evolved. Both had preorder DLC. Transformers had a skin of Shockwave and Front Mission had two new customizable mechs. I was happy.
Then i learned that to use my Shockwave code i had to register on a site, enter a bunch of personal info, type in the code there, wait for an E-mail confirmation then use that code to unlock shockwave. Too much hassle. Eventually shockwave became available to everyone with the first map pack and i never even scratched off the covering.
Front Mission Evolved was a game i was really really really looking forward too. I was waiting for a TPS set in the Front Mission universe since the PS 1 days. No joke. I couldn't wait to type in my code and show off my premium Wanzer to all the fools online. Problem was, the code didn't work. I spent nearly an hour typing in and re-typing the code in thinking i made some sort of mistake. Nope. Turns out it took Squarenix a couple days to let you activate pre-order DLC and a few months to let you do it in CANADA. Of course by then i had realized Front Mission Evolved was an utter piece of garbage.
Fuck pre-order DLC.
