I don't normally post in this neck of the woods, but I think I'm driving myself crazy with worry over recent events and I wanna talk about something a bit lighter. :V

I have a weird relationship with my gender. First I was trans, then I wasn't, then I was again, then I didn't care, then I thought I'd settled on being a transfem NB and now... I don't even know. I'm like an NB that wishes to less body hair (preferably none on the face), wider hips and a lighter voice but doesn't really care either way if people see me as male, female or other and will just wear any clothes I feel like depending on the occasion (and do not and have never felt strong dysphoria, if I'm being totally honest, more like 'wouldn't it be cool if I was prettier and not so gross? It's so much effort though...').

What the hell do you call that? Trans-androgynous? :V

I've been feeling kinda similar lately; I had an appointment at the clinic in town that does informed consent HRT which I went to despite recent uncertainty about transitioning and what we figured out was that yes, there's part of me that actually does want to be female full-time.

But there's also a part of me that feels more comfortable being male by 'default', but would also like a female body sometimes and in private mostly. I've been thinking lately that he doesn't usually like seeing a face on top of the female body because it would either feel mismatched in the case of being masc or not 'like him' in the case of being fem.

And the issue is that these states usually exist at the same time, so part of me will always feel uncomfortable being in the other's body to some extent.

It's definitely vexing; I want tits and soft skin and a cute fem face and a lighter voice, but I just wonder whether I would eventually miss my old body to some extent if I went down the HRT path

Sarah Z did a new video going over Queerbaiting again to review what she has said in the past. Her conclusion is that when queerbaiting does happen, we should criticize the corporations(like having teenage girl singers engage in queerbaiting to get money whether they’re straight or not) or specific creators that do it and not the people involved, and the bigotry against Bi people that led to one of Heartstoppers actors coming out as Bi after he was harassed by jerks who completely missed one of the points said in said story.

Also that the term is losing meaning as people apply it to too many things it doesn’t apply to

Although it can be difficult to tell how much of it is a choice on the part of the actor, and how much of it is a corporate/writing choice.

Particularly in social media circles, where passions tend to run high, and the audience skews both younger and more zealous.

So, earlier today, I'd been told that liking sapphic romance in media and liking Girls' Love are slightly different things.

What's the exact difference?

Girls' Love/Yuri is a genre specifically about romances between women, whereas sapphic romances may be incidental to the story.

ex. Bloom Into You is Girls' Love. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has a sapphic romance but isn't Girls' Love.

reading the trope page for Girls' Love will give you a decent idea of why it's a genre in and of itself

I read the page a few times and hopefully I got this right, (apologies if I don't, I have ADHD which hinders my reading compherension), I take that Girls' Love is a genre that exclusively focuses on the sapphic relationship and thus tends to use said tropes related to the relationship while non-GL works have their focus on other things besides the relationship.

That's great! I am, not exactly sure if i am like, 100% bi, but i am one to be open about things today. Also i like the colors of the flag too. So i guess i do count, even if i lean a bit more straight than the other side.

The great thing about being bi is that, by its nature, you don't have to worry about being 100%

Never let anybody tell you that you cant be bi just because you feel stronger attraction to the opposite sex.

Yeah nobody has really told me anything, cause i am quiet on this generally (i don't really feel like i need to express this much), mostly just me not being sure on things. Thank you for the reassurance everyone!
