Well, Cygan was wondering why there wasn't one, so I made it. I guess we can talk about queer stuff. :3
(*LGBTQ+ Solidarity huggles*)
Oh, and if you're wondering, non-queer folks are welcome too.

The far right's new anti-LGBTQ strategy? TERFs!
Oh, is that why I'm seeing them all over Twitter now after thinking I finally managed to escape them by quitting Tumblr?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I think Twitter had them before anyways. You get all types there.
Twitter is the internet's rumble-dome.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerSo yeah, I still look kind of silly on camera. Possibly a lack of confidence and stuff but I can work on it.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Looking through some older pictures of myself from earlier in my transition, I think I should start wearing makeup more. Not that it helps me pass better or anything, I just look nicer with some eyeliner and lipstick.
Work on the confidence!
Plus it's fun! The other day, I got one of those "stamps" that let you do a perfect wing.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerJeffrey Tambor has left Transparent due to the sexual assault allegations levied against him
Good riddance to the transphobic creep.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Is the show ending, or will they recast with an actual trans star?
Fresh-eyed movie blogI believe they're gonna just kill his character off and continue on without him or something. They'd apparently been contemplating this before the accusations had even surfaced.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm not familiar enough with the show to know if it's developed to the point where it can sustain some semblance of the premise without him.
Fresh-eyed movie blogJust got off the phone with the doctors. They said I might have to wait until Thursday until they have an answer about whether they're going to prescribe my hormones.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer@Adric: I didn't expect someone who takes on the leading role of a transgender would actually be transphobic in real life. Trans for pay I guess...
Life is unfair...Ironically he was even better about it than a lot of cis actors are. Just last year he gave a speech about how he should be the last cis man to portray a trans woman (which put him way above Jared Leto and whoever it was in The Danish Girl).
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerYeah, for some reason Eddie Redmayne thought being the lead in that film made him wholly responsible for the rise of the modern trans rights movement or something.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Yeah, this is part of why we hate having men play us in shit. They shouldn't be rewarded for denying us roles and allowing the persistence of the idea that we're just men in costumes.
Even despite his speech, his words were hollow. He was still making money off of being on the show playing a trans woman when he could've quit it and insist a trans woman be in the role. Call me cynical but he didn't deserve the praise for his speech and if anything it felt like a token comment of gratitude that, in light of the sexual assault allegations, feels hollow and shallow in hindsight.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well, if Hollywood decides they can simply use someone else, they will, they might deserve criticism for it, but the role isn't exclusively entitled to transgenders. And it's unrealistic to expect an actor to quit his paying job because of it.
Life is unfair...The role of a trans woman exclusively belongs to a trans woman. That's not up for debate.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?If I may; it's transgender people. Always use transgender (or trans) as an adjective.
"Transgenders" can come across as dehumanising.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer@Adric: Okay, but are you calling Tambor transphobic for accepting the role? That what's I'm trying to understand. It would be crazy to call a straight guy playing a gay man a homophobe, when the only thing he did was to be selected for his better acting skills.
Life is unfair...Okay, let me try to explain this as simply as I can:
Letting a man play the role of a transgender woman is implying that they are less of women and perpetuating the stereotype of transgender women being crossdressing men.
Also, transgender women are women. You wouldn't let a man play a cis woman, would you? Would that even be under question? It shouldn't be under question for who to cast for a transwoman character either.
Sorry if my post here came across as aggressive, not my intention, the bold was for emphasis, not anger. Just trying to help you understand the point.

I'm saying he was half-hearted and making hollow comments about how he'd gladly like to be the last cis man to play a trans woman when he could've easily just left the role and asked for a trans woman to be cast. Gay and straight men playing different sexualities isn't related to that, especially given trans men and women being played by cis men and women damages visibility by enforcing harmful stereotypes. Tambor acted upon that and enforced those very stereotypes by playing a trans woman on Transparent.

Trans actress Trace Lysette comes forward to say Jeffrey Tambor sexually harassed her on the set of Amazon's Transparent
This is to my knowledge the second claim of sexual assault levied at Tambor from someone who has worked on the show, the first being him harassing his assistant. I'm absolutely livid. I remember a year ago everyone was praising him for giving a speech about how there needed to be more trans people in acting and that he'd gladly be the last cis man to play a trans woman. That speech was hollow. He's a creep and I hope anyone else he might have harassed comes out too.
