Remind me to read this article again whenever I feel insecure about my gender validity. It's helping me a lot.

Plot twist: "Johnny Vegas" is slowly coming around to the idea of trans people. We're having a nice conversation about San Francisco.

So now that I'm home I actually took a look at that linked list of "Tumblr genders", and well...

• It's presented for the purpose of mocking people who identify as nonbinary, as evidenced by the tone of the lede and the site's about page making clear it's an anti-"SJW" publication.

• Quickly scrolling through the A's I see at least one label, androgyne, that's seen documented use as a gender identity far predating Tumblr's existence. Here's an archived informational page about androgynous identities that was last updated in *1998*.

• Given what I said earlier about troll submissions to gender list blogs, the editorial stance of the site, and the presentation of at least one identity predating Tumblr as a "Tumblr gender", I'm almost certain that if I did more digging than a cursory glance at this list I'd be able to find genders that were coined by trolls among the list.

I've been thinking of gender as the feeling that you "should" have a certain set of sexual characteristics, more or less, but if there's one thing I've learned, it's that these things are complicated. And a sense of identity doesn't need to fall into some kind of preexisting category to be "valid" anyway, imo.

I just box this stuff under "stuff I don't understand and don't have the time to learn about in depth", I just need to know how to refer to a person and that's it, I'm not going to have any other need for knowledge of a person's gender.

I've been seriously depressed for the last few hours. Everything bad about my life has been just flooding in. My body was born flawed in multiple ways, I can't keep my emotions under control, I have horrible social skills, I'm nowhere as intelligent or capable as everybody thinks I am, I have massive trust issues with the people closest to me for no valid reason, and I don't even know what I want from life in the first place.

And now I'm getting this sudden second wind, and I'm somehow certain that even though all of the above is true, I can still end up alright with my life. And there's a sentence echoing in my mind: "I want to live."

Stupid, ignore.

I probably should be a tenor, but this is my second semester trying to sing Alto. I've not been revealed as a fraud yet, so I probably sound good enough. :P

There is some overlap in the tenor and alto ranges, more than people think. That's how you get dude altos and lady tenors. I know a lot of exercises to widen your singing range, if you ever want help

It always seems to be the little things that make me slip back I to the self hatred cycle. =/
