That's true, but he was also quite enamoured with "space-bot" and his desire to pilot it, as you might recall, to the point of declaring "Oh! Remember space-bot!?" in a later episode.
I don't think he hates technology, though, just the idea of autonomous, sentient ones like cyborgs, AI, and vacuum cleaner girlfriends. He's gotta be pretty tech-savvy to set up some of those answering machine pranks on his phone.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, I did specify Love/Hate, and Archer has never been the most stable/lucid/self aware person, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships.
Fuchs’ suit is a Wolfenstein reference isn’t it?
Definitely.
Yeah, I'm thinking so. Between Archer's "boss" joke and Fuchs slowly turning into Hitler, I'm almost expecting some kind of reference to the ever-famous "Die, Allied schweinehund!"
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I genuinely forgot his name was Fuchs, because most of the main characters kept their original names.
Here's the concept art of Fuchs' suit, if anyone wants to compare it to space-bot or Mecha-Hitler.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!So...
Is Season 10 going to be a sci-fi story now, instead of a return to the "real world"? I kinda hope not, but on the other hand Malory being an energy being is hilarious.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I would be fine with Season 10 being another coma dream, if it wasn't going to be the last season. I had hoped that we'd get one last season in real world to wrap stuff up, but it looks like that's not gonna happen.
Apparently in an interview Adam Reed was walking back the “Season 10 is it” talk and even mentioned a possible movie.

I still had my heart set on Archer and Barry killing each other but it looks like they want to keep it going for a long time.

Oh, well if Season 10 isn't the final season then I guess it's okay, though I do kinda miss the espionage angle of Seasons 1-4 and 6.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh for crying out loud, space!? Stop procrastinating!
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Mmm. If they do make a movie, they have to end it there. Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy style.

Well, EENE did end on the best note possible with a movie, so you might be onto something.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Archer's boyhood idol, the amazing Burt Reynolds, has passed on at the age of 82...
Godspeed, McKlusky...
Saw a commercial for the new Archer season. It comes out May 29. Here's a trailer. The season is called Archer 1999, which just seems weird. Like, is it set in 1999, but it's the 1999 people thought we'd have in the 1950's or something? And yes, it is set in space like the end of the last season teased. At one point this was to be the last season. Is this still true? Have people changed their minds?
Are we ever going to return to the present day? I haven't watched anything since Veronica Dean (obligatory "Oh my god, that dress in Shanghai Moon!") shot Archer and left him in a coma, because I wanted a continuation of the current story, and all I know is that Woodhouse ded.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Archer Noir was a fun experiment but at this point doing a third coma dream season is wearing out its welcome.
I do hope the final season goes back to the main setting.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!x4 - Adam Reed walked back his claims this season was it when Danger Island ended. He also mentioned the possibility of a movie.

The show's become Blackadder.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThe season's visuals and tone are different than what was teased at the end of last season. Less Alien (1979) and more Guardians of the Galaxy, IMO.
Personally, I stopped watching the show a few seasons ago. Do people still watch because they still like it, or because they're hoping it will eventually go back to the old format?
If you're hoping it will go back to the old format, don't bother watching. If it does go back, nothing from the coma dream seasons will matter.

@Anomalocaris 20: Might just be another expression of Archer's love/hate relationship with any technology more complex than a toaster. His vacuum cleaner girlfriend made him leery of any piece of tech he cannot directly manipulate like a gun or vehicle, and the series of gut punches courtesy of Barry and Katya seriously messed him up.
