Freyjadour smiled. Being that he had recruited dragons into his army, dealing with non-humans as if they were normal people was quite normal. "Hey. Thanks for everything." He said, not quite sure if they could understand him, but willing to try.

Kyle had been distracted by the missiles roaring overhead and the robots attacking. Preparing to attack any robots that came close to him, he tried to grab the rockets with the Force singularly and then throw them one at a time back toward the turrets - hopefully, this maneuver would allow them to kill two birds with one stone. He couldn't help but wonder, though, how everyone else was faring - he hadn't seen them surface for a while now, and he knew that at least Jim and Karahzni didn't have to breathe.

For now, though, he had more important things to deal with, and he trusted the duo underwater to handle themselves without his interference - doing something stupid like that would only get them all killed. It also seemed that everyone who had remained aboard were holding their own, so that gave him greater freedom to focus on his own task.

So much for not being good at teamwork, he thought wryly.

Minako turned her head when she heard the flapping of wings followed by the sound of talons hitting the steel of the roof. She saw the little bird that Dante found on the roof of them, its back turned to her and Aki. The little bird brought something with it and seemed to be very interested in whatever it was. Minako scooted over a bit to get a better look and blinked in surprise. She knew the design on these cards very well, they looked just like the kind that Igor liked to use.

Now she moved all the way over to the tiny bird and looked down at the cards. The one Beatrix managed to flip over was white with the black silhouette of a man walking off of a cliff. It was card number 0, The Fool arcana. "Where did you find these?" Minako asked the bird, as if expecting a response

. The Zero reached down to pick up the card Beatrix had flipped, a worried expression on her face. She barely had time to let out a gasp as a flash of light consumed everything.

When the light faded, everything was a lot darker. The group was still on the metal boat and their outfits were still nautical, but the world around them changed. Everything now had a noxious green tint to it. The only exceptions seemed to be the random splotches of what looked like blood strewn about, and the ocean the boat was it. The ocean was now a deep crimson, almost like a sea of blood. The sun no longer hung above the group, instead it had been replaced by a full moon several times closer then normal.

No matter what Batou or anyone could try, the Boatelweiss would not turn on again. It seemed to be completely out of power or something. That wasn't the most attention grabbing thing though. The island that the group just left had grown a bit in order to hold the building that seemed to have sprouted from no where. It was impossibly tall, reaching up into the sky to the point where it was difficult to even tell if there was a top. It looked more like a grotesque mutation rather then a building with the way it jutted out from place to place and the random combination of architecture. There were random aqueducts coming out of the sides that were pouring constant waterfalls of the blood-red liquid into the ocean. At the bottom there was a large golden gate that was pushed open, allowing anyone to climb the stairs at the front and enter if they so desired.

If anyone were to look for her, they would find that Minako and the deck of cards were missing.

Rogue gently stopped the posthumans from poking her. It was especially obvious that she was uncomfortable with the tundra dwellers being so close. While the posthumans were likely as much human as a chimpanzee is, she didn't want to take a chance that her powers would actually work on them.

"Please don't," Rogue tried to say to the tundra dwellers. "It might be dangerous for y'all to touch me."

Ah, there was the magician girl. She flew down onto the deck, looking just a mite bit annoyed. And, surprise surprise, she turned her cape into a sack to carry an entire plethora of fruit she just found laying around on the island. New girl was a lot of things, but most of all she was a bottomless stomach. Still, Dante had to appreciate the effort.

"Aw c'mon, you got back safe and sound didn't ya?" Dante teased, brushing a hand through his hair and giving a cocky grin. That grin, however, slightly faltered as she mentioned that the cards were missing from their usual spot. Not like they were proven to be enchanted or anything, though, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Gene, however, seemed to be slightly concerned over this tussle. Dante couldn't blame him, not after King Tunafish decided to crash their party because of the compass party favor.

"We found a bunch of cards on the beach, no big deal." He said casually, leaning back further on the railing. "Dunno if they were cursed or not, but that don't matter seein' how no one took it. It probably just got blown away by the wi-"

His words were cut off by a blinding light, forcing him to whip up one warm to shield his eyes and trace the other on the outline of the case. It appeared that he had spoke way too fucking soon, with Extremus pulling a wild card for the hell of it. Whether or not it was the cards, he didn't know - all he did know was that a flash of bright light did not bode well for anyone. As the light faded out, he snapped into position with Rebellion in hand...only to be greeted by nothing in particular. Everyone else was still on the deck, and there was no giant monster or pirate horde about to assault them.

Oh, but things had changed.

The noxious green lighting, the blood red ocean, the giant tower reaching out to the sky. If he hadn't known any better, he would say that they had dragged themselves into the Demonic Realm without warning. Even if wasn't the Realm, it looked far too much like it than was healthy. In his line of experience, this was the really shitty part of the ride.

Somewhere in between a state of casualness and readiness, he dipped a foot into one of the blood splotches before pulling it back and glancing at the welcoming tower. The smell of the red stuff was overpowering, what with it being fucking everywhere it could possibly be. It didn't do any favors to the less predatory side of him, that was for sure. "...This ocean's just full of surprises, ain't it?" He asked, eyes glowering with a special kind of annoyance.

Beatrix soared down from the cabin top, squawking and keening as if she had seen a ghost. Hastily she landed on Dante's shoulder and shot off a line of avian chirps, the terror apparent on her small feathery face. Dante had brushed it off as simple confusion and bewilderment at the sudden change...until the Chatot shakingly fluttered a wing at the top of the cabin. He looked up to notice what she wanted him to see, or rather what she wanted him to not see.

A certain high schooler was gone. Very gone.

"...Shit, don't tell me Mina pulled off a disappearin' act while we weren't lookin'?"

Underwater, as the robots attacked, the aquatics, wailing frantically, circled their new master protectively, attempting to headbutt any robots that came their way. That said, their attmepts were not as successful as Karzahni's- their fatty and cumbersome forms were not exactly cut out for combat, their hand muscles atrophied and tethered by webs of skin. Nevertheless, their determination made up for it, with their determination and numbers providing their real advantage.

Samus, like everyone else, wouldn't have expected the flash...and once it was over she had opened her eyes and was intent on asking what had caused that distraction. Of course, distraction wasn't the best word to describe what had happened to the world around them, it was a very jarring contrast to the seemingly endless blues that had been there a second ago and that had only been enhanced by the fact that it was suddenly nighttime now.

And then Samus had looked up to see the massive tower that had now been looming overhead, right on the very island they had just left a few minutes ago. Even she had to admit that it was unnerving...She didn't take her eyes off of it at first, trying to figure out why it had been there now and why the world had changed, but Dante had managed to say something that did catch her attention.

After looking around to check and see if anyone was missing, and it had been true, Minako wasn't in the same spot she was a few seconds ago. The fact that her friend had disappeared was nothing short of a jab to her, she had always been reluctant on getting close to other people. She couldn't deny the fact that those whom she had some attached importance to would end up having a very unfortunate end. It was a very bleak opinion, yet the fact that it kept happening was enough to convince her.

But despite that, she hadn't turned down the girl when she had made her offer, it just wouldn't have felt right to drive off that kind act, she had appreciated the notion more than she would ever show. And now that friend was missing now...it was never a good feeling, even with how often it happened.

Samus was silent at first, the look on her normally reserved face had shown that she was distressed by this event, indeed. But, she couldn't just stand there and let it happen, could she? Bad experiences aside, it would have been worse to have not done anything about it.

"...No, she couldn't have gotten far..." She finally said, though a bit quieter than her usual tone. "She has to be in the area, she can't just vanish without a trace..."

Group B, staying team

Jim stepped back as the robot exploded, then after a moment put the flintlock back in its holster. He looked around, knowing that he should try and get back above water to the fight somehow, but was faced with a problem. He couldn't swim in the suit. There was the aquatic human-ish things, but they were following Karzahni, so Jim wasn't sure if they would trust him grabbing onto one. He tried waving one down, just to check.

Meanwhile on board the croc's vessel, one robot advanced towards Kyle's back. Before it made it though, an orange blade pierced through it, and #19450 planted one foot on it before ripping the sword upward then kicking the robot away. She took position just behind Kyle, not awknowledging if he had noticed and responded. Now was time to focus on the task at hand, and for the moment that was defending the Jedi. She raised up the gladius defensively and prepared for more of the robots to attack.

Jack & Red (& Pikachu)

"Are you coming or not mate?" Jack's voice may have snapped Red out of it enough to look his way, in which case he'd see that the pirate had stopped for the moment and was looking back at the trainer. He stared for a few moments, then brought one hand up to his face and shook his head slightly. "You're not going to leave without it, are you?" he muttered after a sigh.

"Fine, let's go the way they went and see what's happening. But if it looks like we can't get it back without facing the guards, you're on your own lad" Jack said finally, and pointed down the street the guards went based on what he heard from in the barrel.

Meanwhile, not too far away, Pikachu would find that currently outrunning the guards was no problem. It moved fast to begin with, and both the guards were slowed down due to its electrical attack earlier. Ahead of it, a little girl crossing the street stopped and looked at it. "Ohh, cute!" she said, leaning down. Pikachu probably wouldn't recognise the girl,*

but it could probably smell that this girl had encountered its owner not too long ago.

Stay Above Water

Kyle found that the missiles were flying over at such as rate that stopping any of them more than a few moments led to the one he catches to becoming hit by the one behind, leading to the both of them exploding. Though with the proper timing he could successfully catch one mid-flight and then redirect it at one of the carracks. Or, if his abilities with the Force were strong enough, to use them on the missile bays themselves......

However, he would have to think fast as more and more robots had started to swarm the group's ships.

Stay Under Water

The Aquamorphs would find that, further adding to their troubles, the unfamiliarity of enemies that were armed with bladed weapons that spun in such high speeds. Those that came too close to the sides of the beetles would find themselves cut by the saw blades, but the topsides of the beetles were wides open for attack.

In fact, headbutting a beetle hard enough would cause to spin out of control and into the other robots, causing bunches of them to exploded all at once. Unfortunately the numbers of the robots continued to grow as long as the carrack remained....

When they returned to the boat, Travis went back to grumbling and mumbling, obviously annoyed that the only thing they found on the island was a girl and a deck of tarot cards.

He started to contemplate drinking, as he might as well get him self intoxicated to get through the day, but found that already, something new, and strange, was happening-

For one, everything was now in a sick green-ish tint.

Secondly, there was now a big ass tower on the same island they just got off of.

Third, and probably most important, One of their crew members were gone. Minako, the teenage soul-demon-personality whatever summoning chick disappeared with the cards previously obtained on the before mentioned dull island.

What really clicked in his mind, when bringing all the facts together, was that it was searching time. This couldn't be as boring as the island trip, right?

"So, I know we're gonna search for her. I'm guessing that, since this giant tower obviously just appeared out of nowhere, it's probably where she's at..." He got the obvious facts out in the open, figuring, since someone would say it anyway, it might as well be him.

After a few moments of cursory analysis, with no further incident, the majority of the tundra-dwellers loped back towards the thick jungles that concealed the beautiful- albeit strange- valley of the wonders of evolution. The mother tundra-dweller stayed behind for a few moments, occasionally making strange hooting sounds as she regarded the group for what was likely the last time- her way, Jenny suposed, of thanking the group for reuniting them with her group

The aquatics shrieked at the robots, trying to headbutt them from above. The water clouded red as dozens of the creatures forced their way into the spinning blades, their blubber and fat taking most of the damage for them. If one strayed into the seaweed patch not far away, it would find that it would be immediately mobbed by the entire group, easily disabling it.

The first feeling was disbelief, striking like a gong in Dante's head as his own words left his mouth. There was simply no way she could have been gone, not so quickly in the blink of an eye. It couldn't be, there must have been some kind of mistake or she had taken off out of view.

But no, it was the cold hard truth. After a quick look around, there was no doubt that she had somehow disappeared into thin air. Gone without a trace, just like how Isara had disappeared. There had always been that risk, the risk hanging in the air that they could all just vanish just as she had...but to see it firsthand only seemed to solidify that fact. If that was the case...then maybe she had somehow gotten back home, gone away from this wretched hellhole.

Maybe she had just gone away.

That was the wave of an icy realization, that she just might be straight dead cold. Her young teenage life snuffed short like a candle, ended in the shittiest place of all shitty places. And the only thing he could do was watch it happen, it all happening too quickly for him to even lift a finger.

Again.

Hands balled into fists as he glared up at the spot where she used to be with a frozen stare, as if willing the teenager to come back by sheer mental force. He was so tired, so fucking tired of this happening. Whether it be her, or her, or everyone else that had suffered their dire fate in front of him. That chance of her just being gone, against the chance that she had gone back, grained against him like a low whine in his head. To just stand there...watching someone slip away right in front of your eyes, right outside your reach to grasp.

Because you couldn't have done anything, because they couldn't be helped, because you just didn't know.

Absolutely fuckin' not snarled a inner voice, as the words of the others washed over him. He refused to let it go without doing something, not when there was still a chance of her still being here. He tore his gaze away from the cabin, an steely glower cast over his face. That smirk was still on his face, oh yes, but there was something oddly tight about it. "She's right, kid's gotta be around here somewhere. So let's grill the fashion reject and comb the area, 'cause she couldn't have just disappeared into thin air." he said, twirling the handle of Rebellion. His cocky tone was subtly strained, as flickers of concerns passed in and out of his words. Clearly, there was an undercurrent of a struggle going on beneath that determined look.

He took one glance at Samus, noticing her visibly distressed face. It clashed against her ice queen demeanor, feeling so out of place. But deep down inside, a part of him was relieved to see someone else caring enough to slip up...even if just for a moment. He didn't know if she saw it or not, but he gave her a nod and a small determined smile.

They would find her, he'd commit himself to that.

And soon his gaze almost unconsciously traveled back to the tower ahead of them, looming above them like a forewarning. Funny how much he reminded him of the Temen-Ni-Gru - that tower, the one he had went up and down like it was a goddamn elevator. In the back of Dante's mind he wondered if that would be the case here, but whether or not it would be didn't matter. What had to be done, had to be done.

Beatrix had only shivered against his shoulder and shrunk as much as she could as a tiny feathery ball. Avian features aside, one could have sworn there was a look of guilt darkening over her face.

"Oh," said Fawful, sounding dissapointed.

While Sixes was perfectly justified in being suspicious of Fawful, she had his reasons for asking about the Troper completely backwards. He was not looking to steal his power; he was looking for help in the Dark Star's permanent destruction. As useful as the powers were, the risk of losing control was too high.

"...Never the minding. Anyway, the story of me? I will tell to you the version of shortness. Greatest mind of genius in the world gets nothing but scorn, tries to repairing the world, gets the stuffing beaten out of him for even making the attempt," he said, giving an extremely truncated, biased, and bitter account.

A slight pause as Fawful shook himself out of his bitter reminiscing, and another question occurred to him.

"How do you make the harvest of this Meta?"

Scarlett just grinned and poked the tundra-dwellers back, simply having fun with it.

By the time their business below deck was more-or-less concluded, the room Raspberyl, May, and Kirby were occupying became tinted with an eery, sickly green. Noticing the blood trickling down the walls and pooling at the corners of the room, Raspberyl proposed they check in with the others to see where exactly they'd managed to end up. Moving cautiously so as not to be ambushed

, Raspberyl led the others toward the upper deck, treading carefully so as not to accidentally step on any of the smaller members of the group who might find themselves underfoot.

Once she'd made it back onto the deck, Raspberyl was disappointed

to find that the scenery was similarly-bleak. Despite having been mid-day not three minutes prior, the moon had apparently decided it wasn't going to play by the rules and was currently glaring down from near the top of the enormous tower.

A quiet groan of disgust was all the attention Raspberyl opted to give the stench from the ocean of blood for the time being, especially as the new woman began fearfully muttering to herself, tightly clutching her shotgun. While she hadn't even realized they'd had a new crew member, the demon girl was more concerned with just how frightened she appeared to be. The atmosphere had certainly taken a turn for the spooky, but the newcomer's skittish mutterings had begun to remind her a bit of Alyssa, and if there was one thing Raspberyl had learned in Extremus

, it was that people with weapons were a great deal more dangerous if they weren't thinking clearly.

"What's going on? Anybody know why it's suddenly dark out or what that tower's doing here?" Raspberyl asked those gathered on the deck, her voice quite calm despite the darkness all around them. The demon girl was obviously made of tougher stuff than she looked to be.

Sixes gave a short humorless chuckle as Fawful provided a brief explanation of a story which closely mirrored her own. That alone obviously hadn't been enough to convince her that he was trustworthy, but assuming his story was true, she could definitely relate.

"Let me guess - You're the 'villain' because you were on the losing side?" the Trope-tan asked rhetorically. She had no idea whether or not this was true in Fawful's case, but it didn't really matter to her at the moment. If the Bean truly had been wronged, she might have found a potential comrade, and if he turned out to be lying, then she'd just stroked his ego, which could provide all sorts of benefits later should she keep that up. And either way, this allowed her to vicariously complain about her own situation, which she always considered a plus, if only for the potential for vindication.

Just as she was weighing her options regarding how she might respond to Fawful's next question, Sixes noticed the jarring change of scenery wash over the room. She wasn't sure if the sudden thickness of the air was serendipitous timing or some rather unfortunate karma catching up to one or all of them, but she supposed she'd take it.

"It requires some machinery I don't actually have right now, and judging by our new decor, I doubt I have time to go into the details of how it works right now. Another time, maybe." Sixes said, getting to her feet and placing her cup on top of the keg before heading up to the deck, arriving roughly the same time Raspberyl had.

As the robot pirates launched their assault upon the group, a few of the ones underwater attempting to board the brig would be met with a volley of ice blasts aimed right at their hands as a gift from the frigid bounty hunter in an attempt to immobilize the metallic marauders before deciding to aim and fired an ice missile at the turret attached to one of carracks nearby.

K. Rool in the meantime, a cannonball at one of the approaching robot pirates as soon as he retrieved his blunderbuss followed by attempting to knock away the head of another by slamming his gun at a nearby robot. Swarming and crappy aiming can only help these tincans for so long. Even the mecha kritters I engineered so long ago showed more intelligence than this, not to mention they were sturdier. K. Rool mused before glancing towards the Jedi and the blue haired girl and then towards the increasing number of pirates that were boarding the ship.

"Alright, attention to the remaining members of my crew" the captain shouted as he proceeded to fire another cannonball at a robot approaching the Jedi and the Trope-tan. "We will show these tincans the rules us Kremlings play by! Kannons start blowing apart these pirates that are boarding this ship! Kritters, start throwing the extra barrels we have at those tincans climbing the ship, and for the Krunchas, clobber any that try to get on board!" K. Rool commanded to the rest of his remaining crew, they did as they were ordered as the robots climbing the ship would find a barrage of normal and steel barrels thrown right at their noggins.

As the two Kannons and the three Krunchas dealt with their own tasks, K. Rool himself joined the Trope-tan with the task of defending the Jedi, preparing to fire at any of the robots that approached them.

As the world flashed white, Lina, not knowing what was happening and moving purely based on trained reflexes, began to cast a protection barrier. The spell proved unnecessary, but when the blinding light passed and Lina's vision came back into focus, the world around them had changed. Toxic green and ruby-eye red were not colors she had fond memories for.

But she only made a conscious note of that later. At first, Lina could only stare. It wasn't until Dante alerted them to the disappearance of Minako that she snapped back to reality. She narrowed her eyes at the tower that had risen up before them, menacing and gruesome, and all she could feel was a rising sense of disgust. That monstrosity, whatever it was, was the only thing in sight to blame for the disappearance and new scenery, and so she blamed it. She blamed it and was angry.

It wasn't a rational anger. It was an anger that stemmed from the frustrations that had been building up inside her ever since she was whisked off to this other world. The pillar of light, so reminiscent of the pillar that foreshadowed the coming of Darkstar to her own world, had been taunting her and all these other people from the beginning. She still hadn't been here long, but so much had happened and so many potential disasters barely missed that she couldn't comprehend what those who'd been here a whole week were feeling. She was tired, she was hungry. She was dealing with such a colorful cast of characters that it almost made her nauseous to watch them all (that may have had to do with the fact that she couldn't understand most of them any more than she could understand this place, Extremus). She couldn't use her strongest spells, and she really, really wanted to blow up that tower.

"Aaaalright!" She whipped her cape back behind her and reattached it to her back, and then proceeded to turn and stare down (or, in most cases, stared upwards at) everyone who'd made it back up to the deck. "Didn't you hear the man? Minako's missing. I've hardly talked to her since I've been here, but I do know she's a great cook and the last thing I want to do is go hungry." She pulled out her dagger-turned-cutlass and pointed it back behind her, towards the tower.

"Travis is right. If she's anywhere close, that eyesore is the only place she'd be. What are you all waiting for? Let's go!"

You guys are free to have a fight anywhere you want to, but interfering with an innocent girl’s meal is unforgivable.

"Good byyyyyy-yyyyyye!" Oswald said to the yeti people, waving them goodbye. "Thanks for everything! And your welcome!" he added for the yeti mother. He then turned to the rest of the away group. "Let's head back to the boats then!" he said.

Stay Above Water

Rundas' ice missiles successfully hit one of the turrets, freezing it in place. Despite this, the turret continued to fire, but since the barrel was clogged with impenetrable ice, the turret soon overheated and exploded, bringing down the number of turrets to three. If anyone noticed, there was an odd ripple effect as the missile passed through.....

Meanwhile, the number of robots were steadily increasing as the fight continued, with the priates that were overshot managing to reach the ships now. As the Kremlin Krew joined the fight, something shot out of the hulls of the carracks at lightening fast speed. Soon enough a handful of Kritters were plucked right out of the ship of long, winding tentacles that held the Kremlins in there grip, no amount of struggling could free them.

A pair of Kritters were forcefully thrown onto the deck of the center carrack, slamming painfully into the evidently metal floor. Before they could recover they were pounced on by robots that had not left the vessel and forcefully dragged over to the foreboding metal doors that kept producing them. It only stopped to shine a blind laser from its large red "eye" at one of the Kritters.

Then the light was cut and the door opened. The robots walked closer to the opening and tossed the Kritter inside. Even if the reptile tried to escape, it would feel an immense vacuum, sucking him into the pitch black darkness - *SLAM*

The doors shut.........

Silence........

Then came sounds.....the sounds of power tools tearing into flesh, screams of pain and terror that were muffled as soon as they were emitted.....metallic clinking and grinding, the sounds of a mechanical toy being assembled......

The doors opened again.......

Walking out them was the same Kritter that was tossed in......

No. It was instead some sort of machine that was supposed to be modeled after the Kritter that was thrown in. An exact copy that looked like the original, but had details that one would easily see as belonging to a robot instead of flesh and blood.

Emotionally lacking any sign of emotion other than blind bloodlust towards the organic, the robot Kremling then grabbed hold of the remaining Kritter, who was too scared to move at this point, and tossed him through the metal doors was well......

Within minutes, the group could see all five carracks were now producing robotic Kritters as well as the robot pirates it was producing at this point. To further add insult to injury, most of these new robot Kritters were attacking their former Kaptain, completely void of anything other than to carry out their current programming......

Rey stayed back, not entering the cabin, but keeping close to it, using his cane to occasionally jab away anything that came too close, but otherwise trying to keep back out of the way. He figured he could handle things just fine from here, let the others with actual powers take care of the explosions and monsters...

Geno was shooting at the robots boarding the ships instead of jumping ship as he had considered. More and more enemies with no magic on me to shoot them en masse. We can't reunite with the others and regroup either, but they do want something unharmed. Otherwise they'd have blown us to pieces already. But we won't give them the opportunity! Geno considered his options, and a hand went into his cloak, pulling out the dangerous Rock Candy within. This is what I have now, lets make it count!

Geno saw that the turrets were the most dangerous thing here cutting off the group from the outside, so that was his target. He aimed the rock candy at the enemy ship in the middle of the area as to strike the most turrets, and crushed the Rock Candy. The magic started to release, he throw the solidified star energy, which bursts into powerful magic stars as they move.
