I did like Strange Days at Blake Holsly High, but that's about it for Discovery Kids. And I don't actually watch anything else on the Hub, but the commercials for the Twisted Whiskers show freak me out.
"Aren't you cold, Finn?"I think it has loads of potential. Give it time.
Fraggle Rock. Whenever I get the chance.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI agree with Dito! I love the Hub!
The Twisted Whiskers Show is actually pretty amusing. It has a kind of Tom And Jerry-ish sense of grayed (as in not-quite-dark-but-getting-there) humor that I find entertaining.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI second what Mousa the 14th said.
Thanks to Blake Holsey High, I'll never forget what a Tesseract is.
visit my blog!I only watched DK for Time Warp Trio and of course, blake holsey
never mind

I actually liked that one show with Courbin Bleu (however you spell it. :P). Flight 29 Down I think it was called.
I miss EVERYTHING on DK! Why couldn't they have just moved it? There's nothing wrong with the hub but I watched DK SO MUCH! It was the only GOOD kid's channel left.
I agree. Why did they replace DK? Me, my best friend, and our siblings adored that channel. It was educational and fun without being childish, like PBS Kids(although we did grow up liking some shows on that channel). But now it's replaced by the Hub, who shows Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony. Um, yeah, I'd rather watch Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Splat! was a Canadian documentary series on animation
I watched it every monday at 7:30am
The only reason why I stopped watching it was that they changed the timeslot to 7:00am (and Timon and Pumbaa was on the Disney channel at the same time)
If it wasn't for that show, I wouldn't call myself the animation elitist.
I wouldn't spam obscure animation whenever I wanted to.
I would kiss Pen Wards, J.G Quintels and the Chapman brothers derrieres like the Hoi Polloi do.
Stephen Price, Splat!'s executive producer now edits Stash which is pretty much a poor hipster man's Splat!
I emailed him in 2011 and asked if they had plans to have Splat! released on dvd, he said there were no plans

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWas Popular Mechanics for Kids on Discovery Kids? Loved that show when I was a kid. Had something of a crush on Elisha Cuthbert.
Yeah, that avatar's a 'Shop of my real face. What do you hate? (I did several things in that post)
Yes it was

http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpActing like you're better than fans of newer cartoons. Like Pen Ward is just some scum you scraped off your shoe. THAT is what irks me.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatThough it was originally a PBS show, and only played on Discovery Kids (and Noggin) long after, I'd be so happy if the Hub somehow acquired Ghostwriter.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I don't think I ever got to see all of ToddWorld and I would have liked to. And while I have the entire series recorded onto DVD, it would be nice if Timothy Goes to School was still on the air.

So The Hub aired Fraggle Rock, then took it off, and are now airing it again. Any reason why?
I also find it neat that they got two Muppeteers to perform Gobo and Red for the new promos, much like how they got the original performer of Alf to reprise his role for Thursday evening showings. The performer for Gobo is clearly not a good replacement as his voice sounds nothing like Jerry Nelson's!
I see it's scheduled for a marathon on April 21, but is it scheduled for anytime other than that? I think there's some kind of rule in certain cases that a network has to air a particular show at least like once a year or something or they lose the rights to it, because I've known other networks to do the same thing— like Spike TV very rarely airing repeats of Star Trek: Voyager, or GSN doing it with What's My Line?
So if they are trying not to lose the rights to it, why did they take it off the air before this?
Holy crap! I loved Popular Mechanics for Kids! mystery Hunters was pretty good as well. If I had to choose a favorite, though, I'd definitely pick Grossology. Seriously, that show was fucking AWESOME!
I don’t even know anymore.Beats me. I'm just spitballing here, but maybe it somehow benefits them to keep the repeat rights, even if they're not planning to air it regularly.
Or, how about this? Maybe they don't want to air it regularly anymore, but because of the terms of their contract, they're obligated to air it once or twice a year or so.
Other than shows about horses, fugitives, mecha, and a vengeful douchebag, Do you find yourself watching anything else, on the Hub Channel?
I, myself, tend to watch Maryoku Yummy and Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Adventures just to kill time... and for guilty pleasures.
Also, does anyone here actually miss anything on Discovery Kids?
Yep, I'm still here.
