According to the Keirsey Temperament sorter, I'm a cross between a Healer Idealist (INFP) and a Counselor Idealist (INFJ). I'm also bored.

I'd like to know, what temperaments are you all from? Here is a link to the site, where you can take a test to find out which one you are, or just take a look at the articles and judge for yourself.

According to many tests I've taken before, I'm an INTP.

The problem with the Myer-Briggs typing is that you can be almost equal in a category, like 49% introverted and 51% extroverted. Technically that makes you extroverted, but you'd display just as many introverted qualities. I think the big 5 personality test is a little more effective.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

It depends on if I'm A) PMSing, B) properly medicated.

ENFP, ENFJ, INFJ, and INFP are the only four results I get when I take this thing. My results seem to vary depending on how I happened to be feeling when I took the test. I take it for fun when bored.

I find I tend to flip between ISTJ (Guardian Inspector) and INTJ (Rational Mastermind) depending on the test/my mood.

I'm classed*

as an ENFP as far as I can tell. I've taken various tests plenty of times. That result by far predominates.

@ Aondeug: Our apparent similarity is a bit unnerving. I keep finding I go into a thread and you've already replied with something that's very similar to what I was intending to post. It always jars me. It's like someone was walking over my grave, except replace grave with persona. It's cool, I just find it weird how it keeps happening.

@Carciofus: Colemak layout is better for that.. Then you can say "I can't be ARST." wink

Big Five has more research support.

According to the site you provided (which, by the way, I found fairly sleazy in forcing you to provide an e-mail address) I'm NF. It wouldn't tell me the other two things.

According to the site I linked to, I score:

  • 90th percentile on Openness to Experiences

  • 1st percentile on Conscientiousness

  • 74th percentile on Extraversion

  • 6th percentile on Agreeableness

  • 93rd percentile on Neuroticism

If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.

On the Big Five thing, I scored:

  • Extraversion: 9
  • Agreeableness: 22
  • Neuroticism: 96

I took this test a few years ago as part of the preparation for a training course I had to do at work. I came out as ESFP. The description sounds vaguely like me, although I don't regard myself as a "performer". I think people are too complicated to be reduced to these sorts of categories, although it's fun to try.

Don't want to take the test again now, but I've always come out as the same answer. I'm 95% sure it's INTP just because the letters sound right in my head. I have it written down on something which I may come across in the next couple of days though.

Basically, the same as Jeysie, although I think INTJ fits me better (you cannot beat the general awesomeness of that type, no, no...). Also, reading her contributor page makes her seem almost like my Distaff Counterpart. There is SOMETHING to this test, after all.

Re: Big 5: there is actually a test on similarminds.com which I expected to give an MBTI style result... but it gave both (big5 and mbti)! And implied very strongly that MBTI basically fits into big5, while lacking a 5th var (Neuroticism/Emotional stability IIRC)

.. I think it's http://similarminds.com/indirect.html . I just did it again and got SLUAI and ENFP, of course. I think last time I probably got SCUAI. An average of both sets of traits would describe me well. (it's ironic that I got SLUAI this time, cause I definitely am more well-adjusted than the last time I took it)

@Aondeug: Clearly you are wink. (you just did it again in a very verbatim way, btw.. I wrote basically the exact same words you just wrote in the post you are replying to, and decided it was too silly to stay in before I actually posted the message)

Wait, what? According to that test, I am RLUEI, that is, I am

avoidant, withdrawn, not usually happy, does not believe in human goodness, loner, moody, avoids crowds, depressed, overwhelmed by unpleasant feelings frequently, agnostic/atheistic tendencies, unsure where life is going, impatient, avoids eye contact, does not think things work out for the best, discontent, negative, suspicious of others, uncooperative, socially uncomfortable, hard to get to know, not punctual, low self confidence, pessimistic, lonely, does not finish work on time, does not like to lead, attracted to things associated with sadness, ambivalent about the problems of others, feels defective, fears failure, often bored, ambivalent about the suffering of others, unproductive, avoids unnecessary interaction, easily frustrated, does not finish many things, lower energy level, focuses on fantasies instead of reality, ambivalent about the needs of others, easily annoyed, rarely prepared, disorganized, quiet around strangers, slow to forgive, hard to understand, not that interested in others, skeptical, wounded at the core, self absorbed
That's about the opposite of what I am. Well, apart from "does not finish work on time" and "disorganized", that's a fair cop. tongue

I'm an INXP, or an INTP/INFP, with T and F being split down the middle. Don't feel like checking again. It at least feels accurate, though.

With the Big 5, I'm rather Open (84th percentile), extremely Disorganized (2nd percentile), extremely Introverted (1st percentile), extremely Disagreeable (0th percentile (??? Does that mean that no one who took this test is more disagreeable than me? Okay, blaming a lack of sleep on that one…)), and in the middle of Relaxed <-> High Strung (55th percentile).

Anyone else take a test to figure out what their Enneagram was? I think I was ether a Type 4 or a Type 5, but I can't quite remember.

I took the Big 5 Test and it says a lot of things that are just too Black/White, it never really goes down the middle with things, it just says either you're good-natured or harsh but you can't be both. The one thing I know about myself is that I'm a mix of everything really.

Openness to experience: 41st Percentile

Conscientiousness: 6th Percentile

Extraversion: 12th Percentile

Agreeableness: 10th Percentile

Neuroticism: 66th Percentile
