I was disappointing to find out that Brian was killed off. I was expecting Peter or Lois to be the one.
If they did it that way, wouldn't it have been as part of the "buy my daughter" storyline in order to really dump on the grave of that other actor?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."So Brians dead, thoughts?

Oh really when?I have no idea why they decided to introduce an Italian stereotype dog. There are, admittedly, lots of Italians in Rhode Island. I should know, I live there. It's still inexplicable, though.
But there is going to be another episode with Brian in the next season, and he'll be featured in the upcoming "Grimm Job." So we won't have to wait long for his return...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I hope Tony can emote as much as Seth with Brian had and not always be an Italian stereotype. If so, maybe this character can work.
It must have been a shock to the Voice Actor when he came to work one day and told himself that he was cutting his own hours.

"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Keep in mind that in The Cleveland Show, he only voiced one principle role. I'm thinking Seth is slowly lowering his acting workload.
Which is good. I'd go mad doing TOO many voices myself too.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI'd laugh if it Seth randomly slipped into his character voices during conversations.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI'm sure he has, and does.
Wasn't there a commercial series where he did that?
He went to a college campus once to give a speech, and he regularly went in and out of characters.
He does.
Even without the future ep titles, we know it has to be a stunt. Its like when (allegedly) SM responds to objections to Meg's treatment by doubling down.
The knife twist in the baby will come when he sees that there is no way to keep the dog who overheard too much at his previous home. Then it's time machine based witness dog protection so they never meet in the first place. In the end he must "stew" inside as the only one who knows what it had been and can never have been again.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."They're killing off the Author Avatar for the sake of a reboot, eh? Seems to me like the only logical route after all the Seasonal Rot. Course, the replacement will be treated as badly as most examples of Shoo Out the New Guy, and a few episodes later, Mac Farlane decides it retcon it as a fakeout, and it'll be back to the usual rot in a snap.
Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"Not a reboot. Just a change in the same season.
They're bringing in a new character to refresh a dying show. That sounds like a reboot to me.
Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"@Targemaster Joe: Well he was watching a football game on his cellphone during the funeral, implying he's far from choked up.
I get the feeling we're going to get a revelation about who was driving the car, even if it's some convoluted twist like Stewie or Brian himself doing it to prevent a paradox.

Reboot: a return to the basics in a piece of work.
In this case, nothing changed except the death of a major character who was replaced with a new one.
Then what do you call a situation where a Cousin Oliver replaces another character?
Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"Depending on how Vinny's actual character fares with the fanbase, he may become a Replacement Scrappy specifically. Otherwise he's a Convenient Replacement Character.

I wouldn't be so hasty to believe that Brian is gone for good. In fact, I'm 99.9% sure that he'll be back by the season finale. If you read between the lines in the interview that was posted earlier, you can sort of tell. People on imdb have been coming up with some good theories on how Brian will be back (hint: the parallel universes are involved).
The writers aren't that stupid. They know how important the Brian/Stewie dynamic is. In fact, I bet they're enjoying all of this hysteria. The episode in which Brian returns was probably completed months ago.
And even that didn't last very long. Jess Harnell replaced him early on.
Really, TCS was more Mike Henry's vehicle. Seth wasn't very involved at all.

Really??? ........ I was not aware of that!
am I the only one questioning how he could die like that when he survived much worse stuff?
It's possible that a story arc to rebuild the time machine will start because of this. Yeah, it sucks that it happened, but that didn't stop James Wood from coming back by some convoluted explanation.
