Got a new Drop from Moon Lord: Terrarian.
Basically a Yo-yo that hits the area where your cursor is at, constantly spews out homing shots ala Flairon, deals CRAZY damage (330+ with proper equipment).
...ehehYo-Yos are a legit weapon class now? Sweet. I'm still packing some of that powerful lategame Titanium and Terra Blade while terraforming my new Expert world in prep for Hardmode.
Also Sticky TNT sticks are amazing.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Make sure all your important stuff is underground though, the pillars spawn randomly anywhere on the surface. No real pattern to it that i can discern.
The one thing i'm personally curious about whenever the min/maxing part of the community gets around to it is whether the ufo mount is an acceptable substitute for wings in fights. I'm leaning towards a yes since it's got infinite hovering but it's a little slow in comparison to end game wing options - which is a bad thing for dodging the projectile spam employed by most bosses/wave enemies.
I dunno, I think they have worldgen code like the Meteorites to not spawn near treasure chests or NPC Villagers.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! If they're like the meteorites they also won't spawn in the middle third of the map (anywhere you can see bunnies).
IIRC the pillars will spawn beyond the middle third of the map, and not over the ocean.
Many of the pillar enemies are incredibly annoying. The Solar Pillar in particular has 3 different enemies that spam a Rolling Attack into you, and if you try to fly or jump over them, the Crawltipede will turn you into paste, the Nebula Pillar has Brain Sucklers, Nebula Floaters, and Evolution Beasts, the Vortex Pillar has those Storm Divers, and the Stardust pillar has the cells and worms.
...ehehDo the pillars make any kind of Jojo's part II reference?
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! All I can say with any certainty is that the cells are a Metroid reference
It'd be hilarious if I went to fight a Pillar boss and this plays:
Am now farming The Moon Lord. Still have yet to get a Meowmere or Lunar Flare drop, he's dropped everything else so far, including the Trophy and Mask D=
There IS a JJBA reference, but not the pillars- The Stardust Armor allows you to summon a guardian that resembles Star Platinum and even follows you around like a Stand.

...ehehNice.
How are the Yoyo class weapons? I've seen that they have some epic accessories for them.
Also read up about the Cell phone that uses the Magic Mirror and the GPS as component ingredients and I want one now.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Just beat the Brain of Cthulhu (again) for an achievement and he dropped a Bone Rattle. Now I have a baby Face Monster following me around, and it's Ugly Cute XD.
...ehehDoes it make the horrific noises the full grown ones do?
Nope, it doesn't XD
And its "flying around" animation has it hang from a baby Crimera◊. Yeah it looks rather cute indeed XD
...ehehThe lack of noise is a good thing. If there's real ones running around, you'd want to know, and not have a Boy Who Cried Wolf scenario because your follower makes the same noise.
Welp, I just found an accessory for the yoyo class weapons, and crafted a Yoyo bag from them.
It turns the Terrarian from an Infinity +1 Sword into an outright Game-Breaker. 2x extra length yoyos for 2x the homing ball spam? YES PLEASE.
...ehehYeah, the Yoyo Bag combines all the Yoyo accessory buffs into one imba package.
Also I'm rocking the Chik yoyo (Made with an original Wooden Yoyo and some Souls of Light and Crystals harvested from the Underground Hallow), even without much more than my Titanium armor (melee) buffs and some Menacing boosts, it works pretty well in Expert Mode.
Right now I'm mainly exploring the Large world I generated and planning where I shall build an arena, an Underground Subway (asphalt tracks), and whether I need a Sky Road (since I'm not breaking Altars in this new world once I enter HM - is there any specific event triggered besides the "spawn hardmode ores and make one random Corrupt/Hallowed stone block somewhere" one?).

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! It triggers the "Mechanical Boss rarely spawning at night" and the random pirate invasion too.
...ehehI guess I'll have to partially Hallowize the Jungle then, as well as strip out a large portion of Stone blocks (Might see about airgapping sections of cave to make it harder for biome spread to contaminate various parts of the world).

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!According to the logs, chlorophyte ore can reverse corruption/crimson spread now, so if you have a fair bit of it laying about you could use it to seal off areas now.
... time to abusively farm and mine it.
Who watches the watchmen?...Time to gather vast amounts of it by savescumming an item workshop world.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! That's how I get my potions because screw grinding out stacks of 20 different varieties.
Also killed the Moon Lord, making it so that I have unofficially completed Terraria. I say *un*offically because I have killed all of the bosses and survived all the wave events, but I didn't feel like going after Duke Fishron and Plantera again in the update because summoning them is a pain in the ass.
If you want advice for Moon Lord? UFO Mount OP. Farm the Martian Madness event for the key. Infinite flight is great. Go full defence, this fight is about outlasting him, there's no time limit like the waves or mechanical bosses that i'm aware of so focus on survival. Highly recommend a star veil/cross necklace to not get owned by the big lazor.
Made the Solar Flare armour set and got the S.D.M.G - which with the Unreal Modifier gives me a headache because hopy shit that fire rate is obscene. Kinda want to kill him a couple more times for Meowmere but at this point i'm not sure what i'd even do with it.
Agree with the UFO Mount being OP. I even put that under the Game-Breaker for Terraria.
Moon Lord was tedious for me until I got the Terrarian yoyo. He became a lot easier after that. If you want to "cheat", you can place the Nurse in a house where your spawn point is, and keep the Moon Lord far from it. When your health is low just teleport there and heal up before returning to the fight, since he won't despawn until either he's dead or all players are dead.
...eheh
Just started my new 1.3 Expert Mode world. Had an interesting surprise when the Eye of Cthulhu started going extra fast when its health dropped into the red.
UPDATE: I got a few Expert Mode boss drops.
