nrjxll: I've traditionally said "Hippy Bathday" in earlier posts (and in cards I give people) as a parody of the "norm". When people correct me, I generally say "sorry, I knew it was something that comes once a year..."

Miss_Desperado, you're waiting for me? How come? There's only Sophia at the Hotel lobby and she's talking to Alice via her intercom. Or have I missed something?

Spiral out, keep going.

I'm waiting on Alice at the hotel, (Alice? Who Where the fuck is Alice?) Chitara/Naiolo and Ulf at the wagon, Cas at the café and Grim/Pewter near the forest.

[up][up] (rereads) Ohhhh, your Sophia is the goddess. Never mind, carry on... unless Sophia's the kind of goddess who gets distracted by a pudgy golden retriever getting chased by a screaming broom-wielding maniac before performing a Wronski Feint and running up to jump on and lick a gray alien who's loitering at the hotel door.

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

[up] You have my sympathies — that happens to me more often than I'd like and it's always stressful, regardless of whether or not it ends up being productive. If I could give you a hug, I would.

Who's the troper who came up with the lost child quest, and what details would Maequoql's planet-covering Psychic Radar pick up with passive observance and without active probing? Most of her attention is on the town, but she's also doing the telepathic equivalent of peripheral-vision glances at the rest of the planet, if that's any help.

Like "normal" weird or "revelation" weird? I didn't want to ask to avoid being insensitive, but I also have a dad who insists he is a real psychic. I'm just curious in seeing if anyone else can prove stuff like that exists.

On a more creative bend, I'm legitimately surprised Law & Order Special Victims is broadcast approved. I'm rather conflicted, as on one hand I've characters like Miss Loki who is essentially a Facebook moderator but with it infinitely worse. On the other... Kind of terrifying.

[up][up][up][up]Ah yes, I knew the One-Steve Limit wouldn't last long. It always breaks. Often multiple times, but in this thread, only once so far. Unlike Space Liner where there are two Lokis (three if you count the one mentioned) and two Gabriels, and in Dream II there were two Friedrichs, two Liliths (mentioned), and two Alices. Then there were two Mayas and two Merlins in Frontier... wonder what's next.

Will get to posting now.

Pretty sure there were a couple of Jameses in Capital City as well.

Survived a partial week with my new hours (Wednesday was ANZAC day so that was a public holiday splitting the week in half and effectively reducing it to four days in a couple of manageable bite-sized pieces and managed to successfully negotiate a better pay-grade for the new position despite my Union Rep being of the opinion that I should just take what was offered - so I'm feeling somewhat proud of myself.

Busy day tomorrow (Saturday - it's Friday evening, here) but I should be able to get some posting done this weekend.

Going to have to push posting till tomorrow, busy having existential thoughts about A.I.s, teleportation, and brain uploading.

Have the whole weekend off so that'll be good for posting.

The reason I asked about the lost child quest is because there are too many possibilities, some mutually exclusive, for me to narrate anything about the rumor that would catch the attention of a telepath in orbit. For example...

  • the child could have left the rainforest by now
  • the child could be dead by now
  • someone lied about the existence of the child, perhaps to set a trap for altruistic people

Awake far earlier on a Saturday morning than I would prefer to be - the kids are still nestled deep down in their beds (visions of sugarplums may or may not be involved) - so I managed to get some more D'voreem action going.

MoC, New Zealand invented time travel ages ago. Localized, limited to a single day, and only into the future, but still.

Anyway, I posted the mustangs' next moves along with the musical inspiration for it. Rook has been tossed the Idiot Ball because I wanna see what Amaranth does about the D'voreem chasing Pewter before Rook fills in the blank in his Missing Steps Plan.

I know the plan was for me to have posts 'ere the end of the week, but I may be further delayed. Personal tragedies; my creative juices sapped by a dear pet chicken dying unexpectedly. I've done the necessary mourning and meatspace support network thankfully has plenty of shoulders to cry on, you needn't worry for my well-being, but the posts may be delayed as I get my head together.

Thanks for the compliments on my choice of music. I selected it because I love RWBY and the D'voreem appearances remind me of the Beowolves Ruby fought in her introduction.

[up]You have my condolences. It's no fun when a pet dies. Take all the time you need to get your head together.

Man, and I thought I was being unique by posting some of my own songs for my Four Bardic Sisters to sing in Dream II. But yeah, soundtracks are cool.

@KC: Ah yes, I know how disconcerting that can be, so take your time.

@Desperado: Whoops, sorry I missed your post here earlier. I'm the one who posted the rumor about the missing child. There is in fact a child wandering around the rainforest, so the radar would pick up on him. Also, the radar would pick up on a group of people somewhere underground near Mt. Bifrons; it has to do with the adventure Nui posted about. Additionally, can the radar pick up on any details about the people it scans? And if so, what? Because depending on what it detects, there may be some interesting results.
