Err. Slightly late - just got back to my hometown last night after a long flight, a long bus ride, and two long drives. Hopefully will be able to post tomorrow; can't promise though.

@KC: What's happening in Frontier - around the time Zekarim agreed to let the Small Valley group see the Dead God, Eterna's characters appeared. Her Baron Verez is familiar with magic and was able to detect the fact that there is a huge quantity of it running through Blair. Initially, Blair denied knowing who Baron & Co were and didn't include them in the passage-allowed group, but Baron Verez mentioned star-faring seraphim and Blair is now curious.

Also, Ladytanuki's character Zuri sent a projection of herself to see what was going on in Dead God Valley, but since Zuri knows of the First Advocate and also plans to tell others what she finds in her explorations, she got caught in the magic field Blair cast for Zekarim. Blair noticed (by sensing more so than sight) and has asked Zekarim what he wants to do about the intruder (destroy, question, etc). And Miyuki has approached Projection!Zuri.

...that was more missed than I thought. >.>

@Eterna: Yeah, character changes are par for the course when that much time passes between posts. I'm really sorry about that. :/ I do like your most recent post though, if that helps.

I think the other questions ended up getting answered, but if not feel free to holler at me.

[up]Yeah, that pretty much describes it. I can't wait to see how Blair will react to all this.

And I hope it was okay for me to double-post in Dream II... the second one was really long so I didn't want to edit it into the first. I would've just posted it later, but I really am in a hurry to finish Yamiko's Misery Manor experience. Just one post after this to take care of some falling action and she'll be done - then the real fun can start, with the whole destroying the manor and all.

@ Kkutwar: I was planning to have Moreena encounter some more stuff from her past, but not much more beyond that. It shouldn't be too hard to conjure up some stops on the way to the Knight though.

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

@Kkutwar: For the Sentinel, I wanted to use the contrast or similarities between her and Moreena to explore how she feels about her duties, woshipers and her often bloody seven centuries of history.

The sudden call to adventure from Patches kinda messed with the plan, but now there is the possibility of indirectly developing other character of mine who is also named Anoerith.

None of these ideas include Patches, but the Sentinel happens to be curious about her because she reminds her of the results of a eugenics program she watched closely, despite not being a supporter of, so she would be willing to follow her after takimg a more acceptable shape.

@Savlamar: it is alright, the delay only meant I had to spend less time writing outdated versions of my characters.

But I still plan to wake Cira and remove the burning one after the communion with the ancient spirits/memories is complete, as he is still an outdated version.

So Tehpillowstar hasn't posted on tvtropes in a month... sad

I know nrjxll is visiting family.

What else is causing the slowdown in Frontier? Something like half the posts on the last page are either mine or Masterofchaos's.

Specific to the areas and plots your characters are involved in, or the whole thread overall?

I know I haven't posted in Frontier in about two months because the only plot I'm involved in is physically isolated and dependent on Snowy, who has been extremely busy and tied up with various things for pretty much the whole summer. I think a lot of us have been doing productive things with our summers, and then diving straight back into school. This entire forum has been dead as fuck for the last couple weeks.

[up]Yeah. Soon the only people deader than me in college will be the poor folks whose corpses we study during Anatomy classes.

And while I am still.posting, it is because I am not even working that hard. I am surprised people with actual full-time jobs have time for TV Tropes

I worked full-time all summer, at a mentally taxing job writing code. I was consistently coming home exhausted and falling asleep at, like, eight PM, and wondering how people had the energy to go out with friends, or spend time with their families. At least when I was working full-time, I just had to put in my forty hours per week and I was done, but when I did school full-time, my coursework consistently took more time than that, and my troubles with driving meant that I worked a lot at home and had a very poor-to-nonexistent work/life balance.

I'll take the consistency, post-work exhaustion, and reduced free time of working life over the random bursts of coursework, late nights, and greater free time of school anytime.

Seconded. Those folks who tell you that college/high school are the best years? Maybe that was true in the mid-20th century, but now? Fuck. That. Noise. The 9-to-5 grind isn't bad as folks make it sound.

Yeah, I decided I couldn't do much with a Patches post currently- The idea is for two battles with the Armory Knight, one when her powers are still unstable and the last when she gains full control. So I wouldn't mind someone introducing a more immediate threat, as Armory Knight is too serious a subject for her to go How Do I Shot Web? in its presence.

Kind of surprised the I'm Crying, but I Don't Know Why bit wasn't commented on, since her mask got all strangely wet after rubbing her face. Regardless I could post something if needed, but it'll really just be basic comments & reactions.

The 9-to-5 grind isn't bad as folks make it sound.

But I suppose it makes a difference if you're in a dead-end job, doing work you hate, in a terrible place, and surrounded by people you can't stand. Work doesn't have to suck.

[up][up]I don't feel like introducing any threat. None of my goals in introducing the Sentinel were related to action scenes, and I don't think she has any foes that could be introduced without either stealling the spotlight ir feeling like a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere.

And I don't remember reading anything about Patches' mask going wet. In fact, only after re-reading I noticed her face is covered.

I'm not totally clear on what we're doing with the Barn anymore. I last posted for it, having Vince become interested in Mazra's description of Anoerith as a clockwork intelligence, the baby wyvern greet Mazra, and Lise greet Ren Yangchao. Collen said that there wasn't anything that Min or Varris would comment on, since we're going in the Glacia-Collen-Snowy-Nrj order. I offered to pop Tsadro into dream to give Min and Varris someone to interact with, because I've been daydreaming about an actual plotline for him in Dream for a while that would only work in this kind of setting (also, the more I develop his backstory, the less plausible his presence in Frontier is becoming), and then asked around if that was okay with everyone, or if anyone had any alternative ideas, and then discussion just kind of dropped off.

I think we're just skipping Collen this post cycle and then adding Tsadro next post cycle, but I don't know, to be honest.

Also, is the Temple Laboratory in Frontier still on? I'm just asking, not because it'll ruin my year if we don't do it or anything like that; I just want to know if it's something I should keep in mind when I'm figuring out how to budget my free time and creative juices.

^^ Ah, I guess I'll take care of schoolwork first and see if I have time to start a post later. Sorry for vanishing a bit, the first week of school was kind of a shitshow. It's pretty clear the new registration/ financial aid/ grade system wasn't ready to handle anything the school threw at it. There were people able to enroll in long-cancelled classes due to glitches (who weren't told the classes were cancelled until the first day of school), others were given instructor-level access to course websites, and still others nearly got dropped from all their classes because their financial aid wouldn't disburse. I had to deal with some shit, but it was relatively minor compared to some people. Still, I don't appreciate having to spend an entire afternoon and evening looking for a new class to enroll in after getting an email saying that my film class's posted screening time was four hours off.

^ I'd really like to get that moving again and wrap it up within the next few post cycles, but with the way things have been going these days, I don't think I'm in a position to make promises about when exactly that's going to happen.

Get the Temple moving, Barn moving, or both?

Also, your school situation sounds like a lot of fun. My school semester has been incredibly unexciting so far, save for a clerical mishap that resulted in all five people in my class thinking we didn't have lab. Which I didn't find out about until after I fought rush-hour traffic for twenty minutes to get from work to the not-lab.

I guess both, since it looks like they've both been stalled for a while, but Temple is the more pressing matter for me.
