Character Development Thread--Discussion

There's a lot going on at home and it's been stressful. If you're friends with me on Steam and you've noticed me putting a lot of hours into games lately that's just me... blowing off steam.

God I didn't even see that pun coming.

On a more serious note, yes, I am having trouble stringing together sentences about fictional characters and events under the current circumstances. Please bear with me.

... I uh, reconnected with an old friend out of the blue, and got to play Overwatch. It's fun. So sorry for no postage....

Yeah, like I haven't heard that one before.

I'm officially done with summer class, so hopefully I'll be able to post at a more decent rate, and get some extra stuff done too. Still a little impaired by sickness, but that never lasts. I'll be going on vacation in a week for a week, and while service is going to be spotty, I'll do my best to keep up here regardless.

@SnowyFoxes: Wooow... That pun... It was so gloriously cheesy... I can barely believe it... I loved it! Oh, dood! That really made me laugh a heck of a whole lot.

Thanks for that awesome moment of unexpected levity.

But, in a slightly more serious note: Don't worry about it, pal. I'm sure we all know (well, yours truly REALLY knows... I'm WAY too familiar with those situations) how difficult it can be to write under stressful circumstances. Forcing someone to write when them don't really feel like writing... That's a rather heinous kind of torture if you ask me, and it would be rather rude for anyone of us to demand something like that if you aren't in the conditions to do so.

Take your time and take it easy... Just write whenever you feel well, pal. We'll gladly wait for you as long as it's necessary, and we'll be here to support you if you ever need our help. Everyone around here is awesome, so that's the least we can do for a fellow writer.

Quiet day, huh?

I got home from work not too long ago. It's technically my turn to post for the Barn, but I think Seilaan's decision to ask Min for a hug may have stalled it.

For the record, I would not be opposed if you're ready to have Mazra make her grand re-entrance at this point. Assuming Snowy and Collen are cool with using that to get the barn moving again. (Vince has since had his outfit change into an expensive Western three-piece business suit, after spending a lot of the thread pretending to be an eccentric, intentionally shabby farmer.)

And then there's the fact that Snowy's not feeling too great right now.

Blackout season here in SD.

And during a heatwave. I don't think I could write even if my computer had a connection.

Although it's Frontier I'm more concerned about.

I'd be fine with that.

If the weather cools down enough tonight and I'm not too distracted doing something else, I'll post for Rip and Oswald (although, I reiterate, if Wolf or Ladytanuki want to, they should feel free to post ahead of me). That way at least someone will have posted today.

Hello everyone, I was just letting you all know that my hiatus is now over, I have gotten things sorted out in my personal life so now I have some free time to come here and write! (Or at least I hope to write!)

I am thinking about joining a CDT as soon as I get my character more "filled out". You know, more of a defined base personality that the CD Ts can help me build on. I feel that with my previous character I didn't have much to go off of, thus he ended up being rather generic in terms of persona. I'm not sure if my new character will be of the same species or not.

Okay. If you need an update as to what's changed (a bit has happened in town in Frontier), feel free to ask.

Okay, I am back with computer time for good, at least for the time being. Here's a rundown of what's happened to me in the past two weeks for those wondering where I've been:

A friend I haven't seen in over a year and a half comes from North Dakota to visit me for several days. Meanwhile, I'm at my fucking wit's end trying to secure cheaper lodging for the fall semester until a friend of mine can find his own place, in which I can then move again and become his roommate. By the grace of God, I find a person willing to take me in, and my friend and I spend the next few days packing up all of my belongings and dumping them at his place before I have to go to Korea on Saturday. I also attend the midnight Pre-Release for Eldritch Moon (Magic The Gathering) at my local game store.

I spent a 17 hour layover in Shanghai, then finally head over to Korea. I only spend one day in Korea because I'm immediately whisked off to a magical christmas tropical land called Okinawa with my uncle's family and my mother for four days. I didn't take my computer with me and my phone is pretty bad for writing long posts on a forum, so I wasn't really able to post while in Oki. I just came back a few hours ago.

I know that I did have some opportunities to post in the intermin, but I didn't, and I'm sorry about that, especially for those thinking that I would post.

tl;dr Old friend that I haven't seen came over and we hanged out. Moved out of my apartment. Traveled the goddamn world. Just got back. That's why I haven't posted in almost two weeks.

Ryuhza, Thank you! Sure I would like an update about what's going on in the Frontier.

Well I can't speak for every location, but the big thing that's happened in town is that a couple of tanks have rolled into the north section and are harassing a building. Shots have been fired, but nothing has been damaged so far. There are some person-on-person conflicts going on nearby as well, and as I understand it, a third abandoned tank somewhere along Main street.



On that note, electronic-tragedy? Have we lost you to the dangers of Overwatch?

I'm sorry but I got insanely busy all of a sudden, and now I have downtime and I'm pooped.

It included getting stuff for college, which I am leaving for in about three weeks. It's almost crazy knowing how fast this summer went...
