I didn't find Juniper Lee that bad. It was entertaining, though it was Screwed by the Network. I couldn't get into Danny Phantom (Though Nickelodeon was irrelevant to me years ago) and Jake Long was okay, but the second season art style sucked so hard...
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Surprised at the dislike of Juniper Lee, which I find far superior to Jake Long. Jake Long just felt kind of eh to me. It had some good parts, but some bland parts too. And nothing on Juniper Lee felt bland.
Juniper Lee has hippie leprechauns, six-foot purple hamsters, and otter-bats. Those alone make it awesome in my book.
I also think Juniper's art style is better, the writing snappier and wittier (I don't remember any of the jokes from Jake Long), the voice acting better, and June's cuter. :D
we can't compare the three of them Danny Phantom never got a cool talking Asian breed of dog.
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill.Well, it did have an adorable and frightening ghost dog in one single episode.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.but it didn't talk nor was it Asian
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill.Jake Long? I like it, warts and all(okay, even I cringed at the lingo every once in a while). I never really thought much of Juniper Lee, but the monsters seem pretty unique.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsAccording to most protestants I converse with, they're all satanists.
A single phrase renders Christianity a delusional cultI never really liked Rose in Jake Long. (about the only thing I didn't like about the show)
I was always dissapointed that Haley didn't get more episodes (her episodes were always my favourites, and I loved her dynamic with Jake.)
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelI'm surprised Ben 10 wasn't included in this circle, because Jake Long, Danny Phantom, and Ben 10 were the trinity of... stuff that was similar at the time, with Juniper Lee kind of in the sidelines.
Danny Phantom was my favorite. I remember when I first saw the commercial to Jake Long one night before it premiered I had the biggest jaw drop of man because I was like, wow, what a rip-off. Though, I have to admit, I enjoyed episodes of Jake Long, it had stuff going on for it, but Danny Phantom seemed more fun to me. I loved the idea of ghosts, I loved the characters, and the stupid humor it had going on for it.
Ben Ten probably had the most potential to be something really great. It was serious, it was larger scale, it's characters were interesting, but it became kind of boring later.
I hardly ever saw Juniper Lee, it had odd time slots.
I would like to elaborate but I don't remember enough about the shows (besides Danny Phantom) to accurately say more.
If you haven't seen Juniper Lee, I recommend hunting the torrents of it. Those are tapes that people should keep circulating, IMO.
Juniper Lee was boring. Jake Long Grew the Beard in it's second season. Danny Phantom was okay, but it had some nasty Flanderization.
While I'd say Jake Long is my favorite, I think Danny Phantom was fairly groundbreaking(okay, maybe I'm exaggerating). I don't think Nickelodeon had many serious actions cartoons other than Avatar, and I admit I was sort of prejudiced by the art style(reminded me too much of Fairly Odd Parents). But it could carry some arcs, and the protagonsit actually gained development and respect over the course of the series. It could get fairly serious at times...at least that's what i remember
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living things
Yeah I know
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsI liked all three of them, but I guess I like Juniper Lee better since I connected more to it for some reason. Maybe it was because me and June were both Chinese-Americans.
With the itnitals JL.
Actually, we practically had the same name.
... I'm suddenly starting to remember all the playground taunts I used to get.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.Post #37: I don't see how anything with hippie leprechauns can possibly be "boring". HIPPIE. LEPRECHAUNS.
Also, giant purple hamsters, bat-otters, protagonist turned into a lemur...
I don't know if anyone will even open the link, but just in case, i made a wiki dedicated to the sole purpose of comparing the three aforementioned shows
Thus proving that there is a wiki for everything, even when there is absolutely no point to it.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I'm just trying to find others who would join in the discussion
Jake Long was surprisingly decent, Danny Phantom was okayish, and Juniper Lee was most unimpressive.
