...I dunno. By this point, I almost want to start Kalos with no idea what the main plot will be and see what comes up.

And I'm against the Fairy-type idea because they seem too similar to the Illusion Project, who share an arc with them.

Tastes better on the way back down.

Team Fairy seems a bit too much like Team Galactic to me. It's just replacing lack of emotion with uniform emotion, for the exact same purpose.

To be fair, that's the same with The Illusion Project. The major difference between the three is the methods to their madness.

Hmm...

After going over it in the chat, Aside from the organization appearing more often prior to the final goal, the center of the plan would be in Lumiose City, where the night would start, and slowly spread out. This would he where the J-Team goes and stops it from spreading too far.

Oh, by the way, I've decided to scrap the "secret" fifth admin of the Illusion Project, so if anyone wants to create a character for that position, they're free to do so.

And now back to your regularly scheduled Fairydude discussion.

OK, perhaps Kalos is better off without a plot. I would personally support this as long as it doesn't go on for 7 months like Kanjoh-2 did.

Does that sound OK, or...

Umbra: I'd prefer having no central plot as well. I think we can make enough shenanigans to keep us going for 2-3 months.

Eskay: Ooh, maybe that could be where Mathilde goes~ I was trying to figure out how to introduce her, and having her as a potential "secret" admin of sorts would be interesting.

You know. The idea of Kalos main Arc becoming essentially, an underbelly story is rather fascinating to me. The most odd of directions for a lighter arc.

Though I wouldn't mind a "No-overarching/main-plot arc"

What's an underbelly story?

I think what she means is that it's a story about the seedy underbelly of a seemingly bright, prosperous region.

Yes, but the main focus will be gallivanting about Kalos, having a good time and healing from Orre. The underbelly bits should be on the side. Like what Edge or Titan was to Unova-2.

Underbelly = Ganglands tale.

It's a phrase we use down here mainly to describe the gangland wars in Melbourne in 95-04. Notable because Melbourne is often on the top of the list for the safest/most livable cities in the world and was the last place for expecting turf wars.

So would it be worth it to post an edited version of my idea, or would it be a pointless effort?

That's implying Illusion vs. Neo-Galactic is officially the main plotline.

I honestly just want silly funtimes too, but a little seediness under the surface is required to keep it interesting. I suspect the next arc will give the new Villainous Teams a more central role.

[up]

That depends on weather or not some of the new teams are going to have their arc wrapped up by the end of Kalos.

I was just getting the implications from the previous page that if we had a "main arc" it would be the underbelly stuff. However, I would prefer, as you said, silly funtimes with the seediness on the side to add flavor.
