Finally! Stupid ruddy new user rules...

Anyways, the reason probably will be either overseas job or holidays. There probably is a more complex and interesting reason, but the stupid 10 minute rule made me forget. Or maybe I didn't have one. Something like that.

On a side note, how many posts till I'm no longer qualified as a 'new' user?

Oh, important note:

Your low-level mons mean that you'll likely only be able to battle other beginning Trainers like Crewe, Ammy, and Crow at first, unless you want a curbstomp. Just keep that in mind.

I dunno how long the posting restriction lasts, I didn't pay attention to how long I took with my alt accounts.

I'm fairly certain DJ Pon3 took more than a week for the restriction to be removed, but I may be mistaken

So, can I start in the RP? And if so, a quick recap on people and current locations would help enourmously, so I dont have to go trawling through a ton of stuff.

My apologies on the naming issue. Will call you Lewis from now on. :P

There are no really "major" players, people move in and out of prominence.

Anyway, most of the group is in Mahogany doing whatever. A few are in Goldenrod, Vermilion, and around Diglett's Cave, among other places. (There are a couple a whole UNIVERSE away, but what they're doing isn't exactly newbie friendly.)

We're in the middle of a breather arc, (after visiting a couple alternate universes) so feel free to drop in wherever you would be comfortable.

Also, sorry for hawking on this, but it seems you can't acess the chat... On a mobile device, or some other issue?

EDIT: Timezone might be helpful, too.

Ah, alright. Just thought it might help you get your bearings a bit (though you'd have to log on when more of us Americans are awake. :P)

Sorry for the double post, but this is important, I swearz.

Anyway... Lina's birthday is in 5 days (September 16), and Ammy's is in a little over a week (September 19). (Thankfully, both are on days I don't have to go to work, which means moar celebration time.) So, I wanted to take the opportunity to plan out PRESENTS. :3

Alright, each one has a "wishlist", but it only consists of a few items items each, and one each are already taken care of. These wishlists are:

Lina

• An Altaria (Taken care of by Eskay.)

• An Electrilizer

Ammy

• A Venipede egg (Will be taken care of by Lina)

• A Metal Coat

• I was hoping she could get a male Venonat, male Paras, or female Combee as a present as well (but not all three; they can either be eggs or wildmons.)

Other gifts for either of them can be pretty much anything you want (within reason).

Also, because I've heard Eskay mention he views WAAPT in a TP-esqe art style, I was wondering:

How do you all visualize WAAPT?

I switch between three styles:

1. Flash-based, 2D Western Animation, not unlike a certain memetic show about ponies.

2. 3D Western Animation, not unlike a Pixar or Dreamworks movie, but with characters proportioned more like they would be in an anime series (minus the bigger eyes, that would be Uncanny Valley incarnate in 3D.)

3. Anime-style, similar to the Pokemon anime but with a better budget, so not unlike one of the anime's movies or the special trailer for B2/W2. This is the one I visualize it in the most.

Thoughts on all this?

Visualization of WAAPT

I see WAAPT as ethier in a Scott Pilgrim style or in a Lackadaisy style (Though in colour instead of Sepia)

I'm having to learn to pay the price

I see it in a mixture of flash, anime, and the style of games like TP.

I tend to visualize it like the Pokémon anime.

I tend to view it in a anime-esque style, with Art Shift occasionally. Typically when the arc has a specific tone or is borrowing thematic components from other franchises.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Anime-esque. Sometimes in 3D, sometimes not.

Oh, that also reminds me! Katie's birthday (that is, the anniversary of her first appearance, and thus, the day I've decided is her birthday) is in two weeks! :D

WAAPT is anime to my mind's eye. Except when a prolonged pose matches a drawing someone has done (not necessarily specifically for WAAPT) or otherwise reminds me of something.
