Is there any RTS game where another player can control one unit?

What do you mean by that? Something like the Crawlers of C&C4?

DOTA perhaps?

It kinda loses it's purpose as an RTS if you're only restricted to one unit...

But...Warcraft3 has plenty of custom maps where you only control 1 hero unit.

If you mean take control of a unit, possibly, there's a few games with mind control and the like.

I think Goblin Commander Unleash the Horde qualifies.

Pretty sure you can do this in Battlezone II, which is an FPS/RTS hybrid. One player controls base building/unit orders and the usual RTS stuff, while another runs around using the vehicles the first player builds.

^Yeah, there's also Empires, a mod for Half Life 2 that has you vote who will be your team's Commander before the battle begins.

Hostile Waters, which is a bit like the aforementioned Battle Zone II. But not exactly the same.

There was Sole Survivor but all indications (and the fact the multiplayer servers have been shut down for well over a decade) were it was of the So Bad, It's Horrible type. CNC fans barely acknowledge its existence.

I remember Solo Survivor. The only viable option was to play a tank because the infantry all died in one shot. And some of the power up crates randomly screwed you up.

Dawn Of War II. On last stand mode at least.

Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2 have the Possession spell that allows you to do this.

Check out Savage, it's basically a full RTS where all the units are other players, one player on each team acts as the commander, everyone else does the FPS/TPS thing. It's actually pretty cool.
