The crowner seems to be balanced perfectly between 2:1 and slightly-less-than-2:1. Is that consensus or not?

Well it's still in a lead, but we should still wait to see if this stabilizes.

Could someone give a concrete example of brokenness? I voted down but I'm willing to change my mind. I just thought we weren't changing names that aren't broken.

Here are the arguments in favor of changing it, culled from the first thread (link in the opening post of this one):

• The trope is a minor character in a musical who gets one very memorable song — a One-Scene Wonder who has a song. Why do we need to separate out One Scene Wonders that happen to be from musicals from the others?
• Easily confused with One-Hit Wonder: "One Hit Wonder is a pre-existing term about artists who are only known for one song. So One Song Wonder is about... people who are only known for one song?!? How is this not a duplicate?"
• Easy to misinterpret as "about musicians who only wrote/recorded/performed a single song (as some kind of parallel to One Book Author)"
• Also easy to misinterpret as being the same as One-Hit Wonder.
• It only has 8 wicks; 3 of them are indexes.

My only contention to the first point being that One-Scene Wonder requires only being in a scene or two at most (unless I misread the trope when it got renamed a while ago), while this trope allows minor characters who get several scenes.

That's why I phrased it as "minor characters". How many scenes they're in is not important; how major the character is, is.

Nevermind. I really misread that trope as limited to a memorable version of The Cameo or Spear Carrier. But it would still matter if the character wouldn't be memorable if not the song, while that other trope is memorable for the overall peformance.

Look, I summarized the arguments that were presented, as they were presented. If you don't think I did it correctly, have a go at it yourself. My feelings won't be hurt.

Well you asked what the difference between the tropes was in that post, and while I thought the difference was X, I realize now it was Y. Otherwise the rest of your post about why to rename still stand.

Minor Character, Major Song tentatively leading with 5 yeas, 1 nay. Next is One Song Character at 2 yeas, 1 nay.

Still just a day though.

Okay, we might be able to call this tomorrow. Seeing if it changes by then.

Currently Minor Character, Major Song at +5, One Song Character at +2. Pretty close.

One Song Glory seems to have appeared mysteriously on the crowner and currently has no votes. If that's a Rent reference, I don't think it's an example.
