Oh, and if Tekken-guy is the villain for this one, does that mean M. Bison is going to be the villain in the other one?

It wouldn't last. Whatever team-up they would do would end up being dissolved the moment they gave into their desires to incorporate the other's powers into their own.

It would probably depend on which company your point character hails from. You'd probably end up fighting the villain from the other company.

I say psycho power > devil power but that's just me.

If we were to get into Greater than < less than > equal too = wars. Street Fighter would ultimately win, if only because no one on the Tekken side has done anything that matches Akuma's stunts.

Hopefully Akuma won't be in this game though. Evil Ryu, game play wise, is the same thing.

We don't know that for sure. You mean to tell me that the Mishimas (with or without the benefits of the Devil Gene), said Devil itself, an ancient alien weapon, and Crystal Dragon Jesus couldn't match a human amped up on killing intent? That sounds a bit farfetched, Cider.

Actually, you have it backwards. If anything, I'd rather see Akuma make it in first as a) he was there way before the Satsui no Hadou even became a plot point (thus predating Evil Ryu) and b) Evil Ryu was simply Ryu given some (but not all) of Akuma's quirks. Honestly, I hope that neither make it in. However, Evil Ryu was featured on the promotional artwork for Tekken x Street Fighter, so...

I'm still hoping for Roger Jr. in at least one of the games. Tekken's gotta have at least one wacky character to counter Dan... if he's in the game at all.

Roger I'd take, but Ryu, Kazuya and Ken are enough uppercut for one roster I think, especially if Heihachi and/or Devil Jin is included.

I'm not saying Akuma was ripping off evil Ryu, just that he's unneeded if we already have Ryu with a few more moves, aka Evil Ryu.

As for vs, Akuma has sunk an island with his fist. He blasted a meteorite to pieces, he split ayers rock in half, with his fist, he meditates on the bottom of the ocean. Nobody on the Tekken side can match his feats as far as I know. Its funny how they give Akuma all these great feats in his backstory, yet in game play he's just Ryu/Ken with a two or three extra moves.

1) Evil Ryu is only confirmed for the Tekken-style game, not the Street F Ighter-style game.

2) Not really. Evil Ryu lacks a good amount of Akuma's combos, mixups/tricks, and general agility. He's really just Ryu with an SGS, a Tatsu that works like Akuma's, and a Shoryu that works like Akuma's. Slightly better than regular Ryu, but nowhere near as good as Akuma.

If Dan doesn't get in this game, I will be very sad, what with him being my favorite character. If Juri gets left out, on the other hand, I'll be pissed right the fuck off. Juri is too [[slash:sexy]] awesome to be left out of these games.

Jin started World War 3. Not as GAR-y as punching a meteorite into dust, maybe, but it's still pretty damn impressive.

Not to mention one of the mid-bosses everyone has to fight is a Humongous Mecha with gatling guns and missile launchers plastered all over it. And the final boss is an almost literal Crystal Dragon Jesus. Bryan Fury can chuck boulders to take out attack helicopters, Paul Phoenix is training to stave off an alien invasion, Heihachi punched out a platoon of robots...

You know, i'm starting to realize how incredibly OP fighting game charecters are. I mean, you never really see it because they're always fighting eachother, but everyone from Sakura to King are essentially small-scale One-Man Army material. It's no wonder so many Nebulous Evil Organization types are screwing around with the tournamnents.

Well, he is actually a hobo.

Marvel VS? He'd beat Wolverine and Spider-man, maybe. I think people are referencing Hulk and Juggernaut when they talk about who Ryu wouldn't beat, never mind Hulk and Juggernaut can be beat by Wolverine, Spider-man and Captain America in those games which is just as unlikely.

It goes the other way too. Deadpool should be outmatched against Dante and Morrigan shouldn't have trouble with Ironman.

Fighting game characters have to be measured by shonen standards—not actually fighting maneuvers. Remember, we've seen them beat up cars as practice.
