Ahh. I can't answer that, since I don't even know what was free DLC and what was paid DLC.

One of Poppibuster's affinity nodes requires you to view more Heart-to-Hearts than there are in the base game, necessitating the NG+ Blades' Heart-to-Hearts.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

Outside of NG+ or DLC Blades I'll say the best attacking Blades are

1. Poppi QT Pi

2. Mythra

3. Zenobia

4. KOS-MOS

5. T-Elos (She's actually not DLC)

Source: Have tested all these guys.

[up]Sounds about right. Not that the New Game Plus or DLC blades are notable in damage output anyway (sans Shulk & Fiora).

Wait, so fiora's from after she recovered her human body ? but in this case why does shulk still have monado, why the monado 1 and not 3... and the game itself even states they went together so you can't say they got pulled from different parts of a same timeline...

I mean I understand this thing wasn't supposed to make sense in the first place but that's a new level of not even trying

blushy crushy got translated to gouzi mimi in french, if someone's curious. i'm having a hard time decideing which one's the worst.

[up] Maybe it was Zanza's Monado because that was what he was more comfortable using considering Zanza's still dead.

[up][up]After the end of the game he shouldn't have any Monado whatsoever, because he created a world without gods. When he arrives in 2 he's super surprised that the Monado appears in his hand. They present it in a non-spoiler way, but the surprise is because he knows that the Monado shouldn't exist any more.

Two more rare Blades. How do Perun and Nim tickle your fancy?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!

Nim's ideal on Nia, being a reliable healer for a Knuckle Claws user. Perun's just...there, though her Ice Mastery will prove useful.

Perun is also a source of the Ancient Wisdom field skill, which shows up really often and isn't on many blades.

Nim's not too bad for Nia but Perun is just mediocre.

She's not awful, but she's one of the weaker Blades.

Most Ice Blades except for a few are generally not that great, with Theory, Ursula and Poppi QT Pi being exceptions.

[up]I would add Poppi QTpi to that group since Ice is her default element.

To advance through Perun's first row on her affinity chart, you'll need to do various good deeds. One such deed is paying the dock guy at the beginning of the game, another is by giving a kid in Fonsa Myma a Coral Nopon Chess Set. There are various other things to do which can fall into Guide Dang It! territory.

Although if you enjoy sidequesting and random exploration, you'll probably fulfill that node accidentally.

There are a bit more out-of-the-way than standard exploration. Until I met Perun, I had no idea what purpose throwing money off the balcony in Indol had.

I got Perun pretty early and had no clue what her affinity chart was even talking about. Then I got to Indol for the first time and filled out the node while randomly exploring the place.

This game really doesn't like having the players get easy access to Ice Mastery. Out of the rare Ice Blades, two don't even have it (and one is a flat-out Tier Induced Scrappy), one is incredibly hard to find, one is gated behind Chapter 7 and beyond, and one can't get her affinity chart up to snuff until at least Chapter 4.

Ehh, I never found any elemental mastery stuff to be a problem since you can get that from common blades.

The problematic field skills are the ones that show up often and are exclusive to rare blades. Things like Ancient Wisdom and Nopon Wisdom.

Not gonna lie, it’s pretty amusing that Shulk is about a head taller than Rex. Shulk is three years older, sure, but his official height is about 5’6’’, which is already on the shorter side for a guy. That’d make Rex about 5 feet at most. Teens Are Short indeed.

You know those Idea Levels? Each one is tied to two specific elements. When not using boosters, you're more likely to draw rares of the two elements tied to your highest idea level.

Many healer blades are Wind/Ice type anyway, so you've been playing your cards right. For Perun, her overdrive can wait, and she's of more use for field skills/merc missions anyway.
