I was kinda hoping either Satorl Guardian or A Debuff Resist Gem would win, for the absurity of it, but I'm pleased with the results nevertheless.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So this is a thing and mildly depressing. Even though the entire thing focuses on trying to make Melia a bit happier, it makes me say "Poor Melia" nonetheless. Also, ignore the tags for the kinda lie.
It also features a very interesting idea that I am so borrowing. I don't when or how but I totally will.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Xenoblade is one of few cases in which I sorta root for a OT3. Just because I want Melia to have at least some happiness.
Where are my poorly written fics that make Shulk act OOC? Where's my Die for Our Ship? Where are the fics I can deride for being OOC but d'aw at for being adorable?
What Melia did in that fic was one of the most touching things I've ever seen but damn. Poor Melia.
A part of me really wants to write that pseudo novelization that makes it to where, for whatever reason, Fiora doesn't come back and instead Melia acts as a Second Love to help Shulk get past his self-destructive desire for revenge. Just because I want to see Melia being truly happy and its either that or threesome.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! So, since all four of the Melia/Shulk fics on FF.net are depressing, I'm highly tempted to write some quick fluff just for the sake of balancing things out. The only problem is that I've written fluff only once before. My other romance pieces have something else going on aside from the nice bits.
So, although this has failed in two or three other threads, I'm going to reach out to you guys. Just completely throw out canon (aside from their personalities), assume that Seven doesn't exist (for the sake of simplicity), and make any other assumptions you wants and give me a scenario for some quick fluff (something doable in 2-3,000 words). I would come up with one myself but I haven't been able to come up with short scenarios recently.
It's for the sake of Melia, guys.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, whatever you do, don't listen to me. I've caused her nothing but trouble.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I'm trying to think of a way to make her even more miserable 'cause I'm a jackass like that, but short of her friends going OOC and turning on her, or her getting some terminal illness from Satorl Marsh (Which she'd probably welcome at this point), I actually can't think of many ways to ruin her life further...
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, at the very least there's nowhere to go but up for ol' Melly.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Apparently, in the end, I am on my own.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I dunno, I'm no good with fluff or shipping in general. Only tormenting people.
Torment her a little more and have Shulk actually notice for once?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! If I wanted to torment her, I'd just have to employ All Just a Dream after the fluff.
It's really sad when I can instantly envision that scene and how I'd write it but not how I'd write the fluff.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Oh, my God. That's perfect.
Shulk: Melia, I finally realized I love you, not Fiora! Also, it turns out the High Entia who were transformed into Telethia have been brought back in this new world, including your brother! Also, I found a dozen Dobercorgis, want them?
Melia: Oh, Shulk, I don't know what to sa- *Wakes up*
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I was thinking, after all the fluff, you'd have something like this (spoilers ahoy!):
And let me stop myself there before I get carried away.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I actually am planning to write something about Melia (I have a bunch of one-shots lined up for an 100 Themes challenge) but it doesn't involve Shulk. It's actually set well before the game starts and involves her and Kallian. But that's all I know.
I find it interesting to see people's ideas about how the world ended up after the game, in the sense of where the old locations are and how they were incorporated into the new world. It's left vague enough that there's plenty of room for interpretation.

I'm still hoping beyond hope that the world Shulk made when reverting Zanza's actions ends up being the world of Xenoblade Chronicles X.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Mira or the blown up Earth?
I'm thinking that, since pure fluff just isn't going to happen, I may just write up a bit for that theoretical AU I've mentioned a few times. I can get something suitably sweet out of that. Maybe when they officially become a couple or something.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Mira, since Xenoblade ended with the creation of a "boundless" world according to Alvis, and I really want to see the extent of that world.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia! So, I started this game up again today, and got the remaining Advanced Arts Manuals, and then brought the rest of my party up to level 99. A few were still at 97.
So, with that done, I rearranged my armor and gems, and tackled Ancient Daedala again. This time, I just barely managed to squeeze out a win, surprising myself... and then beat it three more times to get some delicious Night Vision Gems.
Feeling high on confidence and night vision, I warped over to Valak Mountain, set the clock to night, and threw myself at Blizzard Belgazas. He didn't hit me all that often, but when he did it was, predictably, with the force of a large meteorite. That being said, Shulk and Riki's combined healing, and Seven's own attack-heal equipment, were able to just barely keep up with a little luck on my side. It was a long fight, but I was keeping pace well.
And then a little after halfway through, a blizzard rolled in.
I was struggling to survive against him normally, and now he was in his powered-up form with absurd attacking power and new attack properties, not to mention he activated his Crazed Aura shortly thereafter. I held out against the supercharged Belgazas, struggling just to keep my party healthy, Belgazas's attention on Riki, and the Party Gauge high enough to revive fallen allies, and after a tiring ordeal activated a chain attack, hoping to at least give myself some time to think... and then he slumped over dead after the second attack in the chain. I hadn't been paying attention to his health bar, you see, but as Shulk was struggling to keep everyone healed and build up party gauge it seems Seven was busy doing what she does best, auto-attacking like crazy. I'm very pleased with the results, and all that's left now is Avalance Abaasy.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Today, I crafted some 100% Debuff Resist Gems, and killed Avalanche Abaasy. With that, I've slain every Unique Monster in the game.
The fight was honestly easier than Belgazas.
My team was Shulk, Seven, and Riki, by the way- same team I used for Daedala and Belgazas.
Riki's the tank, using Bitey Bitey, Lurgy, Burninate, and Freezinate to do damage over time, Behave to remove annoying auras, and You Can Do It! for healing. Only issue is keeping a boss's attention on him since he has trouble drawing aggro. Shulk can deal decent damage and use Light Heal for decent healing, but his main role was building Party Gauge with his directional arts, and using Monado Armor/Shield/Speed/Buster as necessary. Seven mainly is just an auto-attacker and the primary source of damage, with damage heal gems to keep herself healthy, and maximum attacking haste. Final Cross and her Talent Art were really good in Chain Attacks, as well, though both are hard to keep available.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I played Xenosaga years ago and now I'm playing Xenogears to get ready for Xenoblade Chronicles on the 3DS.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. So I think I've solved the problem I was having with my AU. I don't have to remove Fiora at all. In fact, I hardly have to change anything. I just make Shulk and Fiora Like Brother and Sister and presto! All problems solved with minimal effort on my part. Nice and easy.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's o obvious it almost makes you wonder why it didn't happen that way.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Because that would have given Melia some measure of happiness and that is not allowed.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Maybe Melia should try not being Melia.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Oh my god. A lot of those were just hilarious and too perfect.
Also, POOR MELIA.
