Sharla's 5th skill tree is from quests involving the Argentis family in Colony 6.

ah. so it wont be a questline i can do until i get colony 6 to lvl5 housing or something? cuz i recruited don argentis but neither of his daughters are being offered a place.

on the brightside, i just realised i have enough affinity with fallen arm to trade the last item i needed from rizaka, so i'll be getting lvl5 pop soon anyways. yay

You also need to relocate either Peppino or Oleksiy to Colony 6 depending on which of the Argentis children you get.

I should point out that a lot of the fifth skill tree quests require fighting level 95+ enemies, though. I don't think Sharla's does, though.

You could always chill until Emile gets the bonus videos out. Assuming it doesn't take him three years again.

[up] FYI, once you get all the items to fix Colony 6, there's a level 99 dragon waiting for you that you have to beat.

That is, if you don't want to leave said dragon alive to farm it with Riki's Yoink. It drops a lot of good stuff (for a notable example, it's the only source of Ledios Arms with a gem slot in the game), but if you kill it it won't respawn.

I haven't even killed it myself yet since I have 0 out of the 4 Ledios Arms I want from it, and I haven't been lucky with Yoink.

Never really saw the point of those, since most of them require you to beat monsters that are higher-leveled than Zanza is, to get Monado Replicas worse than the Monado III you get for fighting Zanza.

presumedly because the zanza-unsealing scene automatically replaces whatever monado you have equipped for monado II, and if you had III on well, goodbye till the end of the game again

I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen. I can say with certainty that you get to keep Monado III after Mechonis Core; why would it be any different at Prison Island?

im just going off what i saw in the comment section somewhere on the wiki. they do make special mention to say that zanza stealing it doesnt make him take the monado III for real, so i dunno. guess i'll see.

so...

did shulk become a god because of zanza using him as a vessel + his extensive use of the monado? or something else?

also, do zanza and meyneth remember their past life in our universe?

To the first: Who knows?

To the second: Probably but they're likely vague.

1) Probably that + Some nudges in the right direction by Alvis.

2) Hard to say. The final area is supposed to take place in Zanza's memories, but whatever he actively remembered his past life or not we don't know.

1. It's not quite clear just what made Shulk become a god. It may simply be that, by using the Monado to glimpse into and change the future, Shulk exists outside of predestiny and thus counted as a god in Alvis' books. It would also explain why Fiora doesn't count as a goddess, since despite possessing a Monado and housing Meyneth's soul she never actually uses its reality-warping capabilities.

2. More than likely yes, though it's never said either way. The fact that Zanza seems to already be aware of just what Alvis is implies he remembers.

My guess is Shulk became a god because having Zanza inhabiting his body for 14 years and using the Monado so much eventually altered his life force.

Makes sense to me. Having a god inside you is bound to leave some residual effect. Fiona seemed to get a little something from Meyneth (though not to the same extent, since the latter wasn't in her body for anywhere near as long) if that scene where the two of them did a Unflinching Walk while No selling all of Dickson's attacks.

25 minutes of camera footage of the New Nintendo 3DS port.

It's looking good. According to people who've played both it actually performs a little better than the original in some aspects.

Got this post from Chuggaconroy on his experiences with playing the 3DS version at PAX East. Quoting for ease.

Played Xenoblade Chronicles 3D this past weekend from the Refugee Camp to the Mechon M71 on Bionis Leg. it's a very faithful port of the original with faster load times and doesn't feel watered down in any way, though I will say that the lower screen resolution does make some menus a little more complicated to get around. For those on the fence about which version to get, the New 3DS version adds a model viewer (similar to trophies in Super Smash Bros.), a jukebox, and you get bits of extra content in both from StreetPass, Play Coins, and the Shulk Amiibo. All the content is still there and it's the same game, aside from the Japanese voice option due to memory limitations.

He also said content is starting back up this weekend hopefully, and the bonus episodes will be about 10 in number.

So, I decided to input 36 Xenoblade characters into that Hunger Games Simulator, with some Xenoblade-themed events thrown in for flavor.

Here is the highlight reel. Massive character spoilers, mind you.

Chief Dunga went on a rampage ended only by his own pyromaniacal bloodlust. :P
