We had a topic on an unpicked pilot of Wacky Racers Forever. So I have decided to bring up two pilots that haven't been picked up. And those are The Modifyers and Plastic man. What do these two have in common? They are both great and they sadly enough didn't get picked up. I know that the modifyers didn't get picked up because Nick believed that nobody will watch a show with female characters. Sexist if you ask me.

The only reason why Plastic Man didn't get picked up is because it was said Johnny Test was picked over this.

I don't think Johnny Test beat Plasticman, I think it was just used as an example. I might be wrong.

That Plasticman pilot was awesome. As someone else commented, 'Its like Ren And Stimpy and Freakazoid combined'.

I think Lauren faust might want to punch Nick in the face for being negative over the female gender if that was why it didn't get picked up. That modyifyers pilot looked fucking amazing, it just left me begging for more. Also, even though a few friends talked me into doing this where did the whole "Johnny test canned this" thing come from?

[up] The youtube user who uploaded the plasticman pilot only used Test as an example of bad shows over good ones. However he may have started an online rumor because of that.

@ The Modifyers, that was actually really good, I was impressed, though for some reason I liked the bad guys more and wanted them to win, which is rare of me.

I'd already seen the Plastic Man one a long time ago and it's a shame it never went anywhere.

wait... There was a modern Wacky Racers pilot!? Must see!

I've heard Modifyers is being pitched at Sony Animation as a feature.

A while back when the pilot was popular on /co/, some people e-mailed some questions to Chris Reccardi. Basically, he figured the people in charge of other networks would probably not be interested and he was looking for alternative means to do Modifyers, a comic being one possibility and this movie pitch being another.

What does CN see in Johnny Test? It's noisey, looks awful, and unfunny.

They're counting on kids not knowing what good quality is, instead preferring generic slapstick and OUTRAGEOUS situations.

Johnny Test is ridiculously cheap and it's partially funded by the Canadian government

@Theoriginalblader Thank you for creating this thread! I have spent several months now trying to find remember what the original pilot for The Modifyers was called (I saw it a couple of months back and forgot the title, despite thinking it was freaking awesome)!

I just watched the Plastic Man pilot. Best Ending EVER!

It's definitely the type of show that I would like, and it's definitely a shame that it never got picked up.

I gotta make that Baron von Vain guy into an avatar. Shame it won't be picked up.

Actually, now that I think about it, he seems awfully familiar. Like someone already made him into one.

The Modifyers seemed surprisingly high-quality. It seemed to look like a British look of Chowder. Although it's pretty sexist if that's the only reason Nick never picked up on it, I can see where they were coming from.

And Plastic Man was the funniest thing I've seen today, hands down. A shame it never went anywhere. Perhaps, with renewed character interest due to Batman The Brave And The Bold, there might be a future for him on Cartoon Network.

"It's gonna take a year to build the new-" "Damn!"

Of course he does. Who doesn't? I discovered the pilot 5 months ago and am still really sad about it not getting picked up.

Oh, wow. The moment I saw the name "Chris Reccardi" on The Modifyers, I knew it was gonna be great. And I am not disappoint. The artwork is splendid.

Though I still think the Plastic Man pilot is slightly better. By the way, I heard that the group of kids Cartoon Network showed this to said that plastic was hard and not moldable. If this is the only reason this didn't get picked up, I will have to find all of these little bastards and exterminate every single one of them. Anyone come with me?
