Trope Repair Shop Edition! Cleaning Up: Memetic Mutation

Okay, I had made an older thread over here. The gist of it is: Memetic Mutation has been thoroughly destabilizing for a while now.

This is old news to just about everyone, of course, but the main problem isn't that it's too decayed; no, it's too much of a jumbled mess. Take, for example, Music, Comics, or Anime.

All of these articles are beyond chaotic. And the solution agreed to in another thread (adding an  ^Explanation

has not really gotten anywhere aside from the Video Games and, to a lesser extent, Anime.

So what shall we do? Easy! I'm just going to copy what I wrote in on the discussion page for Film:

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm currently (very slowly) working on fixing this page. There will be a standard for each set of entries:

Title of movie

Meme  ^Explanation

And so on ad infinitum. It will be in alphabetical order of movie ("the's and "A's" don't count). And if you see a line like this:

That is somehow randomly in the middle of the page, DON'T DELETE IT. It helps keep track of which memes I've categorized already, since I'm doing it in small chunks. I would appreciate any and all help.

Lately, however, some IRL stuff has been getting in the way of doing any large edit chunks (and I'm a lazy bastard for creating this page before working on Memetic Mutation). So just to reiterate: I need all the help I can get.

Have you put a commented-out note at the top of each subpage to help inform editors about the correct formatting and information that needs to be included? I bet that would help.

This has already been down on the main anime page, which I painstakingly cleaned up about a month ago. The specific pages probably still need cleaning, but the main Anime page is as clean as it is likely to get.

Okay, thanks for doing that page before, but the "Other" section could probably be organized better.

And Another Thing...: I don't know the explanations for most of the memes, so other people will have to do those.

I did a bunch of explanations for Magic The Gathering and Dungeons And Dragons stuff on the Tabletop Games page. In the morning I'll start going through the "Others" on that page.

I may be reviving a dead topic and not contributing to the general organization overhaul of the page, but is there any reason this is considered "YMMV" and not "Trivia"?

Because it's an Audience Reaction, which is currently lumped under YMMV because not everyone in the audience reacts the same. Trivia is for stuff that's objectively true but isn't actually a trope, like Troubled Production.

^That's kind of a good point. Also though, Fan Nickname and Memetic Badass are at least about a work. Fan Community Nickname is about Fans (of a work).

So far, I've made sure that every page had the format you suggested and I've been heavily organizing the Advertisement section. It still needs some work, so help would be appreciated for it.

I think we're done here, and if serious help is needed with any of the subpages, a separate TRS thread can be made for that.
