If Forge is any indication, robots are spirits rather than spectrals.
More seriously, we've seen a lizardman MANLIZARD spectral, so a robot wouldn't be too far-fetched.

Well, long version is that it's a great love letter (as well as a partial Deconstruction) of RP Gs from the past few decades, with the style and humor reminding me a lot of the Paper Mario series.

But seriously, it's got excellent art, a ton of funny moments, and as much heart as Paranatural.
It's done by the artist that also did Hiimdaisy if that means anything to you.
It is seriously so Paper Mario that I can hear the music during the chapter end scenes.
