I think that was the point of this chapter, to be a parody of sports anime and overly long anime battles.
Also, awesome update. Lisa/the rest of the School being cool in an almost creepy way helps.

I'm sure it reads way better in the archives. But it did slip in some plot stuff too. Forge almost surfacing, Suzy's blackmail, Dimitri characterization, introduction of Muse and the student council, more on Hijack's plan.
Yeah, I read through the entire game earlier today, and it flows well when read like that - we just get a bit tired of it because we've had to deal with it for so long (a bit under 30 weeks, I think).
Lisa's got herself some glowing blue eyes in panel three.
Is anyone in this school not involved in the supernatural?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I think that's just an artistic flourish. But since her description on the cast page says she's strange and knows all the school goings-on, her being in on the masquerade shouldn't really be a surprise.
Act 3 plot twist: it was actually a shonen protagonist training ground, where each student thinks they're the big secret in the school
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"That would actually be hilarious, as its own pitch. Like, a group of friends where one can see spirits, another is a vampire, another has like ki powers or something, another is a wizard, another is a spy, and they all try to keep their respective masquerades intact.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'm pretty sure that's the premise of My Monster Secret. Which is indeed reportedly hilarious, but I haven't gotten to it yet. The To-Read pile ever grows.

My first thought was "floating uterus" complete with fallopian tubes as arms, but maybe I've seen one too many anthropomorphizations of bad periods...
Fingers crossed for this working and the chapter wrapping up.
Not that I haven't loved the entire thing, mind. I just don't think a "act 2" in which Hijack actually gets hold of a teacher would be good for the pacing.
I have a message from another time...But the chapter started In Media Res with the kids bursting into the teacher's lounge.
Anyway, is it just me, or did Vice Principal look like she could see Hijack?
Oh God! Natural light!nah i see it too. But i think it's more coincidence than actually being able to see hijack.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeMaybe, but there's also this scene to consider.
Oh God! Natural light!Oh that's very true
Huh
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI don't know, to me it seemed as if it was building up to an anti-reveal. "Don't tell me you're actually... a Canadian transfer student!?!?!?"
The hitball game was going on so long I actually was surprised it ended. Ha. But seriously, Cody is now #3 in my favorite characters. He's probably beating out Isaac in being so anime, and that's most likely why.
I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME SO BADLY BUT IM 21 AND ALL MY FRIENDS ARE on-line.
The way you suddenly went from all-caps to lowercase made me think you were actually saying "DEAD" there but some broadcasting corporation dubbed over it to make it kid-friendly.
Stop or we'll shoot you with our Invisible Guns!

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I can see that happening, but I think if that were the case, then it could have finished rather than been interrupted.
Oh God! Natural light! That's the only flaw I saw in my reasoning too.
Yeah, lot of anime monologues .-.
