Heard of it, but never saw it.

Very classy movie. I remember my dad talking about it. This was just when I was getting into horror films, so I sought it out. I remember thinking it was pretty terrible.
I finally watched Gutterballs. Despite being utterly disgusting and sleazy, with a rape scene that was just as uncomfortable and prolonged as everybody said...it had its charms. "Charms"? Maybe I mean je ne sais quoi. The acting wasn't as bad as I anticipated, the gore was fantastic, and it was rather stylish throughout. I'll probably put a page up for it soon.
Gutterballs got me thinking about other sports themed slashers. So far I've got the following:
- The Catcher - Baseball.
- Graduation Day - Track and Field.
- I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer - Cricket.
- Wrestlemaniac - Obvious.
- Night of the Dribbler - Basketball.
- Devon's Ghost: Legend of the Bloody Boy - Baseball.
- Shredder - Skiing and Snowboarding.
- Iced - Skiing.
Recently watched Camp Blood◊ and Bad Reputation◊.
The former was a generic flick about people in the woods being murdered by a machete-wielding clown; the colors were horribly washed out due to the implementation of cheap 3D, and it had one of those stupid Mind Screw endings that seem to plague a lot of low-grade slashers. I hear the sequels are marginally better.
The latter was a middle of the road Rape and Revenge slasher. Not bad, but it could've been better.

Crayak: I gotta say, I think Wrestlemaniac needs to be made based on the name alone.
Wrestlemaniac is real. It's about a Mexican wrestler who cuts people's faces off after defeating them.

I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Oh, whoops. Dropped the ball there, I thought we were brainstorming here.
I think I'll need to see it, then.
It's currently one those featured films on Youtube, and is viewable for free to boot - Link.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D has been pushed back to January, 2013.

Somewhere, somehow, someone's gonna pay.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Any word on the release of the Child's Play remake?
They're still working on it and Brad Dourif will be back. We just don't know what they're currently doing.
Like the Hellraiser remake, it seems to be going nowhere, despite what everyone is saying.
Saw August Underground's Mordum, which is topping most "sickest shit evar!" lists. Despite the addition of an interesting (and admittedly quite hot) female psycho, I thought the more grounded first was better. A little past the midway point, and I completely lost track of what the Hell was going on in this one.
I heard that MGM won't relinquish the rights that allow Universal to remake the film.
I bought Scorpion Releasing's 2-disc set of The House on Sorority Row. Another page that I should get to. Good(not great) slasher with a memorable slashing weapon.
The Prowler seeing Gutterballs inspired me too (it was either that, or August Underground's Penance).
I... only thought it was okay. :/
Would probably watch it again, though.
And I mentioned an idea for a golf-themed slasher a little ways back. Turns out there already is one, it's called The Greenskeeper. Damn.
You're a braver man than I for transcribing that dialogue for the trope page.
I think it's time I revisited The Midnight Meat Train. I loved that movie, but I don't know if I'm in the minority. It has one of the best "decapitation POV shots" around.
Midnight Meat Train is one of my favorite slashers. It helps that, in addition to the crazy awesome kills, it's actually a good movie.
Though, now I must ask...are there more POV decapitations that I didn't know about?
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. There's one in Club Dread, another in Jason Takes Manhattan(sort of), and probably a few others I'm forgetting.
Midnight Meat Train kicks ass. Best part is when the chick's eye flies out. Excellent ending, too.
Been thinking about checking out Jason Goes To Hell.
Go for it. Most people hate Jason Goes To Hell because he's technically hardly in it and the weird hell demon stuff is kinda dumb, but it's not too bad if you stay a little open-minded and just go with it.
So...are there any slasher films that are also either martial arts movies or post-apocalypse movies?

I think there needs to be a martial arts slasher.
Wait, wait, wait. I just remembered... Ninja 3: The Domination!
I re-watched the first two sequels to Child's Play.
...and made a massive post I now intend to put elsewhere.

Future-Kill is sort of a post-apocalyptic slasher.
Love weird demon shit, count me in!
I have Future-Kill on DVD, haven't watched it yet though. Apparently the first half is a frat comedy, and the rest is a cyberpunk slasher or something.
Also, be aware that you shouldn't go in to it expecting another typical Friday the 13th movie. It's still a Friday the 13th movie, just really weird at times.
By the way, if you're checking it out on DVD, watch with the commentary afterwards. It's amusing.

I still think the best slasher film is Sleepaway Camp. It has all the best elements of a horror film, atleast to me: Woods, 80's, weird kid bullied to extremes, and bad acting!
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.
I don't know if this counts as a slasher film (and I don't want to make a general horror thread if it doesn't), but I finally found the name of a movie I saw when I was around 8 or 9 when I was hunting for it (using random horror films that sounded similar) on You Tube.
It's called Rawhead Rex, anybody else ever seen this movie?
