The Simpsons movie came out when the show was well past its prime, and still managed to be pretty good. While I don't think this one will be as good as the first one, we can't assume it'll be terrible just yet.

I'm intrigued. Part of me is very skeptical about how true this is. But part of me acknowledges that this is the LA Times, which I class as a reliable source (as opposed to somebody's blog or a high school newspaper).
