Star Craft 2, so much.
I suck HORRIBLY at micromanaging units, and I suck at positioning units, but I love watching the professional maneuvers.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Dawn of War. Like Scardoll, I'm absolutely terrible at micromanagement due to my forgetfulness. But I do enjoy watching people like my brother play.
And the Orcs amuse me so there's that. :P

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.Platform Hell in general. ...Possibly; I've been trying to steel my courage lately to try and take some on, but I still know that watching some poor schmuck play one is more fun than actually playing one. The reward of conquering one is knowing you are a sad, obsessed little geeky thing total badass.
Most of the latest RTS games. Despite the constant complaints from old schoolers about general 'dumbing down', high level play is still beautiful.
Almost all of the newest games, whether PC or console, count in some way. Setting aside the fact that I'm stuck with a 4 year old laptop and no handheld or console, any pro play of a new AAA title can get me on the edge of my seat (or off my seat) but I've never had the urge to buy any of them.
Most of the purchases I do make are older games whose cover blurbs stick in my mind after I first see them.
Starcraft, most fighting games.
Seconding fighting games.
I'm terrible at them and have no desire to practice. I realize that I'm perfectly capable of going toe-to-toe with tournament-class players given enough time and dedication, but this is simply not something I wanna devote myself to.
I blame my poor self-esteem.

For me, arcade SHMUP titles. It really goes without saying about how much 'awe' or 'wow' one can get from looking at new ones, with experts playing
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Because I'm a coward.
Fighting games, particularly the Soul Calibur series. Used to watch a group play it in my high school's science lab every wednesday and thursday. There was this one guy that always murdered everybody else with Talim though until some dude came along that REALLY knew how to use Voldo... whenever those two fought, people actually started betting their Yugi-Oh cards or lunch money on who would win!
...your science lab let people play video games?
During the lunchbreaks we had a free hour, and the breaks were slightly longer on those two days because of the way the classes were set up. Also the teacher in that room had a DSL connector, a large TV and was also willing to let us use it, so we figured "why not ask her if we could use it to play games?"
I guess you had a pretty cool teacher.
Oh, and on topic: Any horror game in general. See my reasons for Silent Hill.
Marvel Vs Capcom 3, simply don't wanna get it because there's something about the character roster that puts me off.
...yeah.
Now posting as Enzeru, this serves as an emergency avatar backup accountIs this about Sentinel?
I don't really have any of these. This is what I think:
- If I like watching a game, I usually want to play it.
- If it's a matter of experts being better than me at it, it only makes me want to play it more.
- If I DON'T like playing a game, I'm not going to be interested in watching it..
Most Bullet Hell shooters, for obvious reasons. And also Metal Gear Solid games since I'm really really bad at stealth, and the games are mostly cutscenes anyway so a Let's Play is usually just as good as playing the actual game.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!I like watching fighting games and such, especially high-level competitive play on You Tube. There's just something about the pacing of fighting games that I enjoy. I don't really like playing them, though — I tend to get really frustrated when I lose. ^^;;
But somehow,◊Fighting games in general. I'm shit at memorizing combos and memorizing frames and get-up times, and get my ass kicked by bots if I don't spam grapples and throws that would get me booed at an actual tourney.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudFighting games if I'm at an arcade where it's obvious everyone has disposable income and are godly at playing. I dont' know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I will NEVER become as good as the frame counting 10 hit/infinite combo HIGH LEVEL JAPANESE YOMI SON crowd.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I'll just mention I Wanna Be The Guy and leave.
However, I can just watch a video of a game on youtube and chances are, the game might interest me.
Shutdown sequence initiated.Fighting games, because I don't have the persistance or the thumb strength or the muscle memory for the combos.I would say RT Ses, but I do enjoy a fair few of them. Again, rubbish at them beyond the single player, which I can usually boss in all but the hardest difficulty (Skirmish doesn't count, I get raped every time on all but the easiest).
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Fighting games, partially. I like playing them with friends because its not serious and none of us are exceptional at them. Playing online and seriously though? Not at all, don't have the patience or the coordination.
Most fighting games, cuz I suck at them and simply don't have the time (or arcade stick setup) to properly master them.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!
Pretty much what it ways on the tin. Any sort of game that you like to watch, but don't have the time, resources, or interest to play.
- Team Fortress 2 - I've come to terms with the fact that my laptop, not being a gaming computer, probably can't handle the game very well.
- Starcraft II - A good SC2 match can be hella fun to watch, but I don't have the money for the game. Nor do I have any interest in getting the game, since I would likely be god-awful at it. I was never that great with strategy games, but real-time, too? Ha.
- Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Another game that's pretty fun to watch, and then the trifecta: no 360 or PS3, no money for it, and I would likely be crap at the game anyway.
So, what games do you people enjoy seeing, but not playing?
