When I launched it I went with the name I did purely because the other options were made of Suck and Despair. Its a snowclone, but its not one of the utterly overdone and tiresome snowclones, so I figured what the heck.
If a better name comes along, that's cool.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.its a good name, and TRS should not be used as a back up for "I didn't get my way in YKTTW" as it often seems to be.

I do rather like the name, honestly. Snowclones should generally be avoided, but it doesn't mean they're automatically bad.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.I don't know about the "Harsh" bit. Is this a harsh trope?
Rhymes with "Protracted."Definitely fails the "Guess that trope" test, for me.
EDIT: Ok, having seen it now...what?
No.
What.
How is the name indicative of the trope? I was thinking of suicide scenes on a high balcony, that kind of thing. The only way that this relates that I can see is in assuming that there is an irresistible force slightly similar to gravity operating on the people involved.
EDIT 2: Ok, having reread it I noticed it was about "after they fall", not just people in general. That's O.K. I suppose, I'd still never guess it.
I couldn't think of a better name for that trope (Falling In Love is too vague, and implies that the [Frequent] romantic outcomes of the trope are inevitable, and that's the best one I could think of), so I guess it stays.
Could there be a bit more set-up explaining how this occurs? It seems to be important to the meaning of it.

Try not to snowclone unless the tropes are related guys.
Fight smart, not fair.Still doesn't make it a bad name.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.Hey, let's do a differential. Back in February this was fresh from launch. Three months later, we have ...

...just three wikilinks? Two indexes plus one article.
Wow, did this one drop off the wiki radar.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.YKTTW doesn't pay attention, which makes a lot of work for TRS. Anyway. Title sucks. Title isn't working. Howabout Lewd Collision.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyMight that indicate the name is not effective?
I can't think of any name. Falling To A Suggestive Position?

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I tried, but I couldn't guess what the trope was about from the title beyond apparently being connected to Gravity Is a Harsh Mistress.
Maybe Suggestive Collision?
Lewd Collision sounds okay to me, I guess.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Lack of wicks can indicate a number of things, only one of which is a non-working name, but this name is pretty bad for this trope.
The child is father to the man —OedipusI'm fine with Lewd Collision.
Fight smart, not fair.In this case it indicates there were a poor job when launching it. It seems there was not try to get some wicks from even the initial examples.
But, yeah, the name is bad.
Not really... its just all the alternative suggestions were even worse.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.Should there be a single prop? Someone did express support for the name, back in February.
The child is father to the man —OedipusThere are, in fact, a couple of people who've said they like the name.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope. At first, I was wondering how is this a snowclone. And then I looked closer at the name...no wonder. It's way too close to it's "Mistress" counterpart.
I wish YKTTW was better at these sort of things.
I made a single proposition rename crowner here since I think some people have registered complaints about renaming it so I do not believe we can go straight to alternative titles.
That being said, I think the trope probably should be renamed. I feel like the current name is a bit awkwardly phrased, especially the "harsh seductress" part.

"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dGravity Is A Harsh Seductress would be characters getting vertigo while looking over a great height and falling to their doom, something like that. That's harsh.
Doesn't work for people falling, tripping or colliding and ending up in an amusingly suggestive position. That's not harsh, and the word gravity isn't telling us what's happening. The seductress idea could work — a nominally impersonal force as risqué matchmaker — but that's not quite "seductive".
Lewd Collision is shorter, simpler and clearer.

It's been stable in the +16 to -3 zone for several days. Swapping with an alt-names crowner.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
Not convinced this is a good name, but I was about the only one objecting to it in the YKTTW so I'm willing to file it under Just Bugs Me. In the meantime, can we get a quick snowclone evaluation of the title?
