The story.

Today, Telltale Games is announcing an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to develop videogames for the comic-book series Fables, and an exclusive worldwide agreement to develop and publish a series of videogames based on the AMC cable network’s zombie hit “The Walking Dead.” It’s also working with Universal Pictures on “Back to the Future” and “Jurassic Park” games.

Here's an interview about the Walking Dead games with Robert Kirkman.

Apparently there's more projects (5 in total, including the above) in the pipeline. These are just what we know about.

I love Fables! Wonder what kind of game they're making around it though.

Well, I've never read it, but it could be an adventure game. Maybe a detective story? Bigby Wolf is a private eye, no?

Bigby is the chief of Fabletown security at the start of the series. But really too many people end up going on their own awesome adventures. Snow White and Rose Red essentially take on Animal Farm, Little Boy Blue tries to solo the Big Bad (and damn near gets away with it too), and the resident janitor ends up leading a crusade of the dead. There's a lot of fun stuff going on in Fables.

Of course, I haven't read the newest issues, only the collected volumes my college has, so I don't know what I'm missing.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it will be a spy game starring Cindy.

Am I the only one interested in the Walking Dead game?

The other three are a King's Quest reboot, Puzzle Agent 2, and Hector.

Uh, Tell Tale made Sam and Max and Back to the Future: The Game. They've pretty thoroughly averted The Problem with Licensed Games, in part due to working closely with the creators of whatever they're adapting. And considering how great the TV Show ended up, I think it's safe to say that Kirkman knows who to trust with his IP.

You know what'd be awesome for Telltale to do?

A point and click South Park episodic game.

And we can rest easy because Telltale knows how to handle licensed games, am I wrong?

I don't think Telltale does the sort of writing South Park is a fan of, though.

I don't know, Hector to Badge Of Carnage seems to be a long that line.

I know this is complete Nerco but Telltale Games has been IV keeping the adventure game genre alive.
