How 'bout a Jenny Haniver◊ Poke? Because I think that would be totally cool.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.edited 17th Feb '11 8:14:34 PM by Scardoll
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.I made the gas one a Flying type. Since I combined plasma and BEC into a single Pokemon, I made that one dual type. Would be interesting if you ask me.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually have few of these.
A ghost/rock line: 1st form: Ghostone, 2nd form: Ghoulder, 3rd form: Boulderghast
A phycic dog line: 1st form: Calupe, 2nd form: Calulf
A dark cat line: 1st form: Felun, 2nd form: Feluna
An ice penduin line: 1st form: Peggen, 2nd form: Pegaren, 3rd form: Pegareez
A fire Crocadile line: 1st form: Magdile, 2nd form: Magmgator
A fighting pif line: 1st form: Moink , 2nd form: Mohog
And that's only a few of them.
Funnily enough, I came up with a Psychic fox at one point, though that was a very long time ago; I barely remember it.
I do remember what was supposed to be its counterpart, however; a Dark-type rodent called Mugrat. He was a nasty little thing, with a blade on his tail and a unique ability which I dubbed Vampire Fang; essentially, whenever he uses an attack involving teeth—Bite, Crunch, Super Fang, etc.—Mugrat absorbs half the damage he inflicts. Combined with his high Speed and high Attack, this makes Mugrat a tenacious beast, especially if he's holding Leftovers or a Focus Band.

The Danse Macabre CodexAt the moment, the only one I have readily available is this male Kangaskhan◊. Nevermind the names given there; it's called Kangaskhat. The stats are approximately correct! But should be higher. I think they're lower than Kangaskhan's right now. On the other hand, it would make sense to give him Speed Boost and Baton Pass, which is kind of a ridiculous combo. So anyway.
Kangaskhans are not, in fact, an all-female species. It's just that, while Kangaskhans are very rare, males are so rare that they border on legendary status. There's one in each clan of Kangaskhan, but you never see them under normal circumstances. They are extremely cautious, extremely fast, and excel at hiding themselves. Compared to the strong mothers, Kangaskhat are very frail and not equipped to battle dangerous predators. Their role in the group is vital, however. Apart from being necessary for breeding purposes, Kangaskhats act to protect the survival of a clan with their ability to store things in the basket-like pouches on their backs. This allows them to fetch important food items from anywhere, and in an emergency, to transport several Kangaspaw babies away from danger in a speed that no predator in the world can rival.
Due to their importance for the survival of an already endangered species, even if one was to see one in the wild, it would be highly illegal to catch or even faint one. The only way to acquire a Kangaskhat of your own is to breed until you get a male Kangaspaw. This is extremely rare, though, unless you use a special incense that promotes the birth of male Kangaspaw, which you can only acquire from the only farm in the world that breeds Kangas. Or, of course, you could buy a male Kangaspaw from them – for a horrendous sum of money.
... Yeah, I might have mentioned that I wanted to make my own Pokemon game.
Why isn't there a platypus pokemon? There should be.
Everything happens for a reason. The reason is a chaotic intersection of chance and the laws of physics. One could argue that Psyduck has more in common with platypi than ducks. But I still want a Normal/Poison platypus.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, platypusness is the only explanation for Psyduck learning Poison Sting.
Bug-type with two evolutions: Bug/Psychic angel and Bug/Dark devil.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."@Kangaskhat: That's really cool, but it would require a much more involved and thoughtful world than most pokemon games give us. I mean, a body of law concerning what you do when you encounter certain pokemon? That makes me curious of other creatures that might populate your game and how they fit together.
Copypaste'd from the pokemon thread.
Me and a friend thought up a theme for some legendaries. They'd be mutant three type pokemon made by the evil team of the area, based off of the original. The original is a Storm Pokemon, Water/Electric/Dragon type. The mutants are a Fighting/Dark/Psychic type, a Fire/Ice/Steel type and a Ground/Flying/Ghost type pokemon. Each would have a unique ability based on their typing which I haven't really thought of yet. I also don't really know what they'd look like.
I've thought up some abilities, though sadly not names, for them.
W/E/D type: Thunderhead - When it's raining, there is a certain chance for a Thunder attack to strike at the end of the turn. Ground - 0% chance, resists electric - 15% chance, neutral - 30% chance, weak against - 50% chance
F/D/P type: Decisiveness - Doubles power of all positive priority attacks, i.e. Quick Attack, Fake Out, etc.
F/I/S type: External Heating - Halves speed when hit by an ice attack, but neutralizes weakness to fire for one hit, and doubles speed when hit by fire, but halves phys. defense. The effects are stackable, so hitting it with an ice attack will halve its speed, then hit it with a fire attack and its its speed will return to normal but his defense will be halved.
G/F/Gh type: Fade - takes 1/4 damage from physical attacks.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!I thought up a Pokemon, but I didn't come up with a name for it. Here goes...
Grass/Fighting
Gender ratio: 100% Male
Base Stats:
- HP: 95
- Attack: 140
- Defense: 110
- Special Attack: 25
- Special Defense: 90
- Speed: 135
Ability 1: Set Up- Every stat goes up by one stage the first turn he's sent out. Ability 2: Adrenaline- Every stat is raised to the 6th stage when hit by a critical hit, super effective move, status effect (except sleep and burn), or below 1/4 health.
Yes he learns Baton Pass.
Well, what do you think?

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Oh, so you came up with the idea for Pokemon with three types as well? In that case, I might just share such a beast with you...
Phantazar
Water/Ghost/Dark
The Discordant Pokemon
Description: An enormous, reptilian Pokemon reminiscent of some sort of hybrid between a plesiosaurus and a mosasaur. It has a long tail, six muscular flippers which end in silver claws, and a number of small batwings on its back and neck; its face is like a skull covered in chaotically-scrawled geometric tattoos, and the canines of its upper and lower jaws are utterly massive fangs that stretch beyond the height of its head. It hovers above the ground at all times, though it is still susceptible to ground-type attacks, and its body is translucent to represent its ethereal nature.
Its base stats are broken down thusly:
- HP: 100
- ATTACK: 150
- DEFENSE: 150
- SPECIAL ATTACK: 100
- SPECIAL DEFENSE: 110
- SPEED: 110
Its ability, Maelstrom of Chaos, temporarily increases or decreases a single, random stat for all participants in the battle every other turn and cause Moonlight to restore full health no matter what time of day it is.

The Danse Macabre CodexI think that you would be horrible at game design.
I have some names for them now, as well as base stats for them.
Typhorun, the Storm pokemon: W/E/D type Base stat total: 680
Health: 100, Attack: 70, Defense: 110, Spec. Attack: 160, Spec. Defense: 130, Speed: 110
Enementus, the Unstoppable pokemon: F/D/P type, base stat total: 600
Health: 100, Attack: 140, Defense: 60, Spec. Attack: 140, Spec. Defense: 60, Speed: 100
Ironuris, the Impregnable pokemon: F/I/S type, base stat total: 600
Health: 100, Attack: 100, Defense: 140, Spec. Attack: 100, Spec. Defense: 140, Speed: 60
Deammith, the Intangible pokemon: base stat total 600
Health: 75, Attack: 125, Defense: 125, Spec. Attack: 125, Spec. Defense: 25, Speed: 125
So what do you all think? I think he means because Adrenaline is hax. Maybe make it so that it only takes effect when he is criticaled or something?

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!True. To be fair though, Phantazar—along with its counterpart, Luminaziz—were meant to be battled in a decidedly unique fashion. They came in two forms—a Sealed Forme, which is catchable, and a stronger Unleashed Forme, which is not. To aquire them, you must first defeat them in their Unleashed Formes, which are of a high level and have ridiculously large amounts of health to make up for tha fact that they cannot be caught; once this is done, they transition to their Sealed Formes, which are at least twenty levels lower and have far less HP and a weaker ability.
The stats above represent Phantazar in its Unleashed Forme; sealed, its base stat total is reduced by some sixty points (i.e., HP 90/ATK 140/DEF 140/S.ATK 90/S.DEF 100/SPD 100) and its Maelstrom of Chaos ability is replaced with Umbral Curtain, a weather effect that makes it night and which powers up Dark- and Ghost-type moves in much the same way that Drought and Drizzle power up Fire- and Water-type moves, respectively.
Speaking of Luminaziz, here it is!
Luminaziz
Fire/Electric/Flying
The Unyielding Pokemon
Description: A large, flightless bird with a blazing headcrest and pinions of fire and lightning. Its head bears some resemblance to that of a tyrannosaurus, and it has a third eye; like Phantazar, its face is akin to a skull and covered with geometric tattoos, albeit ordered far more strictly than those of its chaotic counterpart.
Its base stats are distributed thusly (parentheses indicates those for the Sealed Forme):
- HP: 110 (100)
- ATTACK: 110 (100)
- DEFENSE: 100 (90)
- SPECIAL ATTACK: 150 (140)
- SPECIAL DEFENSE: 150 (140)
- SPEED: 100 (90)
In its Unleashed Forme, its ability is called Pillar of Law: it prevents any positive or negative stat changes to all participants in the battle, and causes Morning Sun and Synthesis to restore full health regardless of the time of day. In its Sealed Forme, Luminaziz instead has the ability Solar Curtain: it is a weather effect that causes intense sunlight which powers up Fire- and Electric-type moves.

The Danse Macabre CodexI mean, come on.
Am I the only one here who actually cares about, like, world-building aspects and such? ._.
*goes sit with Cactuar Joe, because at least he only cares about design*
That was really more of a concept really. I do have some designs. Except I don't really have a scanner. I suppose I could make some bad drawings in paint though.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Yeah Marioguy it sounds kinda cheap. I drew one two days ago, it was psychic/ghost. And cute. I'll scan it next week when I get it's evos done.

The first ever Magic-types: Magihat and Wyzstar!
Magihat looks like a black ball with glowing silver eyes wearing a hat, a cloak, and gloves. They always come equipped with a Magic Wand as an item. Wyzstar looks like a black ball with glowing red eyes wearing a wizard's hat, a robe that has five points (thus its name), and it reveals its hands of pure energy.
I think Paper types could be cool
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill. How about a Ghost/Rock? It'd be a possessed statue, perhaps looking like a gargoyle. Lithioul, perhaps? Of course, it'd learn many physical moves, like Shadow Claw and Stone Edge. Rough Skin as its ability, perhaps?
Oh! And an Electric Poison lightning snake. First form is a snake made out of electricity. Second form, the lightning forks, so a 2-headed serpent. Final evolution, a hydra/Orochi, whose neck-base has a storm-cloud as a mane. And still made out of electricity.

I have a message from another time...
Huh. Great minds think alike, I guess.
Anyway, they're all actually single-type Pokemon: Solux is Rock, Liquil is Water, and Gazz is Electric. Thanks to their Levitate abilities, none of them are affected by ground attacks; because of this, unless Gravity is used Gazz has three resistances and no weaknesses.
