Got em and got Platinumed the game. Only one was actually in Venice; I missed two of them in the Villa of all places. Including the one above the main entrance that I've run under throughout the entire game.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. It was pretty.

Was anyone kind of taken off-guard by how Monterrigioni looked when you fully upgraded everything? It seemed like it went from a Wretched Hive into what could be called a respectable community.

Yeah but it did still feel a bit...empty. The Church and Brothel and so forth didn't do much except add people and income. It felt like the entire place was just an income source for Ezio's wallet. Does Brotherhood improve on this at all?

A little bit, yeah. Brotherhood starts with you escaping the vault after the end of 2 before you do a couple short missions for the people around Monterigioni. It's actually quite nice to have an almost-bonding experience with your...subjects? Townspeople?

And then it's attacked. After upgrading it all throughout 2 and talking to the people in Brotherhood, it's quite an emotional experience. Then you lose it.

And then you re-visit it as Desmond, which is uber-nice, if slightly pointless beyond the first runthrough.

So I just read the Game Informer article. The info is juicy.

I played the first game and, as I had been warned by friends, was semi-unimpressed. The story was adequate, though a bit predictable, and while the assassinations themselves were nice, the filler in between them was rough to get through.

I've just started playing Assassin's Creed 2. I'm about two hours in.

Holy shit. They improved this friggin game.

Yup, Assassins Creed II is my definitive example of a Surprisingly Improved Sequel. And then Brotherhood added even more! Including a surprisingly fun multiplayer component!

Reviving this thread to ask a quick question that has come up because of the recent Steam sale: How popular is the multipalyer in Brotherhood at this point? A few of us are buying Brotherhood at 50% off.

Last I'd checked it had fallen off a bit. Finding a good game to play is tough, even with the automatic matchmaking. But if you've got a few friends to play it with, go for it.

Heck, you should add me. I'm ComputerSherpa on Steam—message me if you're about to get a game going. smile

Hey folks, we have a main AC thread and it looks like two AC3 ones that created around the same time. Let's put it all in one place.
