I just saw the clip with him asking about the German thing. Apparently, he was asked the question: "Is German for basketball? True or False" What the heck is that supposed to mean?
ok...that was a very VERY poorly worded question.
I think he just asked him "Is Justin Bieber german for basketball"...as in do germans say "Justin Bieber" when they want to say basketball...
If my name was Justin Bieber and someone asked me a question like that, I'd just sit there and let my jaw drop...
WOW...the Youtube comments in that video...it's like Something Awful and 4Chan combined...

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I've never ever said that word ever once in my life.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.Y'know, listening to the way that question was phrased "german" could very well be a strange euphemism for "crazy".
"Basketball" in German is "Basketball". What the fuck kind of question was that?
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-WraithI think the image he cultivates might put a lot of people off. Pretty Fly for a White Guy and all that.
^^Okay Chagen, I gotta give you that one.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.I think it's primarily due to a hate-on for anything that isn't as masculine as society demands.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.I don't understand the hate, either. I mean, it's one thing to not really care for his brand of music, it's another thing entirely to hate him as much vitriol as people do.
I mean yeah I'm not a fan of his music, but hell he's making good money at his age, good for him.
Lol @ Justin Bieber being compared to Tupac and Kanye West.
Concerning how famous he is, I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with how many people talk about him like this.

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!Yeah, my thoughts are very similar to many already expressed in this thread. He's just a somewhat talented kid who makes music that I have no interest in but don't violently despise or anything. It's just as well that he's getting all this out of his talent, since he came from a sort of not-so-great background, but there are of course still so many other talented kids out there toiling away in obscurity, and it seems like Bieber really isn't quite equipped to handle all the fandom and hatedom. Both are pretty scary.
Yeah, he's rammed down our throats way too much, but the haters also go at it way too much. The whole thing seems to have become self-sustaining in the worst way possible.
On the one hand, it's good that he put Stratford on the map for so many people. On the other hand, given the way the hatedom is going, Stratford would almost be better off known for its Shakespeare festival...

Flora Segunda | World Made By Hand | Monster Blood Tattoo ^You should read these series.^^ It might sound silly if you're a fan of Tupac and whoever, but to a person who's a fan of none of the artists I listed, they really aren't any better/worse than each other.
Bieber fans would laugh that I compared him to Kanye and Eminem for the polar opposite reason as yours.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I was actually laughing because 2Pac is probably one of the most influential and beloved artists in history,Kanye West and Eminem are only slightly less so.
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! You're thinking of Michael Jackson and Elvis if you want influential...
As for beloved...no, he's about the complete opposite of beloved.
In terms of musical abilities, they're all the same. Their careers made lots of money and made them famous. Their music weren't that good. But are you telling me Bieber isn't making buttloads of money and becoming ridiculously famous while dishing out average music atm?
Only difference Bieber has compared to all those previous fads is...his name gets innuendo-ized a lot...just look at the line under his picture.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."You know, for all the claims of how he's being crammed down the public's throats, I would never even have heard of him if it weren't for all the public hate he gets.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. Why was it so cool to hate Barnie when I was a teenager? Why is it so cool to hate Twilight now?
Honestly, I'm not completely sure, because it goes beyond how cringe-worthy or bad the content is. I think part of is people distancing themselves from children/teenage fangirls by vilifying their TV programming/books, but other than that I've got absolutely nothing.

Nemo enim fere saltat sobrius, nisi forte insanit Deviantart.I was consistently surprised when I first started realizing just how many people on this site hadn't heard of him. It was pretty refreshing, actually. I don't care about him at all, but I do happen to read a lot of different newspapers and I'm sort of hyper-aware of a lot of pop culture that I don't have anything to do with otherwise...
Flora Segunda | World Made By Hand | Monster Blood Tattoo ^You should read these series.I never had even heard of Beiber until people were spewing hate towards him on Fall Out Boy videos. I was all "who the fuck is Justin Beiber"?
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-Wraith@Signed Micheal Jackson and Elvis aren't the only two influential musical entertainers.
There's no justice in the world and there never was~I dislike him and yet pity him at the same time. I dislike him because his songs aren't original or good and his ridiculously girly voice just takes away any scrap of okay-ness the songs might have, yet he's massively popular and so many people sing his songs completely unironically.
It baffles me how someone who looks like a twelve year old girl can be considered hot, and also how he gets so many rappers in his songs...?
But I also feel sorry for him since so many people hate him with a furious passion. They also make fun of his appearance like it's his fault for not hitting puberty at the normal time, and to be fair it seems like he's finally going through it now. I doubt the 'Justine Bieber' jokes will stop but oh well.
Because it seems horribly unfair that such a bland and nigh-talentless performer has such a massive fanbase comparative to far more talented, enjoyable musicians solely because of his Shotacon appeal to young girls. It's moronic.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.@JHM True, but does that really justify the vitrolic attitude that some people have directed towards him?
There's no justice in the world and there never was~@KCK/JHM: Because he's popular?
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~
There have always been teen pop stars and "true music fans" have always despised them. Justin Bieber's just another one; unless he does something remarkable quite soon he'll probably be forgetten, consigned to the lower end of the top 40 or wherever it is all of those male X Factor winners end up. As much as I dislike Justin Bieber's music (which I think is very dull, even though many people may find my own musical preferences similarly unintereting), I find the hatedom even more annoying.
On occasion, I wonder if the fact that he's earned millions of dollars by releasing the same album four times irritates people..
What I find really annoying are the thirteen year olds who whinge about him (the ones who would probably try to flash their devil's horns at a Bay City Rollers concert because they think everything from the seventies was metal and believe that Def Leppard was a thrash metal band). That kind of bile directed against some medium-talent kid with a silly sounding voice is stupid even for You Tube.
