After more than just one day, I think. Especially since we seem to have gotten at least one no vote (possibly from a misguided Michael Jackson fan).
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Ok, this has been stable for a couple of days at 9:1 in favor of a rename. I've created an alternative titles crowner here.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Single prop locked at +16 (yeas:18 nays:2) 9.00 : 1 in favor of renaming.
Alt title crowner hooked.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I don't know, but personally, Vampire Ball sounds to me like a bad snowclone of Idiot Ball /Sanity Ball / Villain Ball, even if it's unintentional.

Yeah, I think I mentioned that when I first proposed it. :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. This one looks like it's crystallizing fairly well, after an early deadlock. Bumping to get more votes (or comments).
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Bump, this looks pretty stable. Unless there's a last-second surge of votes, I'll call it tomorrow.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Anyone concerned that Vampire Dance could be mistaken for the movements that vampires do while dancing - i.e. a "dance" as in waltz, tango, or foxtrot (hah, I only realized I did that after I actually did it), as opposed to a "dance" as in an event?
Hmm. I don't think vampires are particularly known for the way they dance, so, no, not really. Zombie Dance might lead to confusion because of a zombie's distinctive lurching movement (and the Michael Jackson video), but I that doesn't apply here. Vampires dance like people dance, so I can't imagine anyone would expect that to be a trope, unlike dance events featuring vampires, which are a staple of fiction.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Ok, after two more calls for votes, we got two more votes for the unopposed leading candidate. A brief discussion about possible confusion lead to three more votes for the leader. I think we can call this settled. I'll get started on the move.
edit: someone else seems to have jumped on this, so I'll wait.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Sorry about that, I made most of the rename changes (like moving the wicks, fixing the laconic page, and copying the trope description), but I am currently waiting on a report I sent to a moderator to move the discussion on Blood On The Dance Floor to Vampire Dance before I make Blood On The Dance Floor a redirect.
Thanks to Meta Four for moving the discussion and to Xtifr for making the redirect.
