You also forgot Turok and Wolfenstein
You know what I think?
I think that, in between this and the Guitar Hero/Tony Hawk/True Crime HK axing, Activision is now trolling us.
You know what, now that you mention it....

So; collectible toys, trading cards and at least a game a year going by Activision's standards. They might as well sell crack on playgrounds at this rate and save the middle man.
And really, why not rip off Pokémon verbatim? I'm getting sick of all these reboots lately.

Crono: They ALL have to do with money.
They think they can get a bigger market by appealing to the 'edgy younger crowd'
WHEN HAS THAT EVER WORKED!?
I know that, but I merely said that they're not so sickeningly blatant about it.
Also, you guys forgot Castlevania: God of War Clone Edit-I mean, Lords of Shadow.

Eh, it was okay. A bit derivative, perhaps, but it was a playable game.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows."A tad derivative" is one heck of an understatement concerning Lords of Shadow, if you ask me - it's like saying the same thing about Dantes Inferno. The last time the developers made something that wasn't clone of another game (and even then, it was an FPS), it, well, sucked. I'd rather have IGA make another main series game than let them make a sequel to LoS.

Oh look, its chrono deriding what is considered a decent game as a hackneyed ripoff despite having no relation to the game it supposedly rips off. How original.
Anyway, I actually liked the Legend of Spyro series, so I'm willing to give this a chance.
Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes."No relation"? Wut?
I cannot fathom how anyone could draw any comparison between God Of War and freaking Castlevania.
Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes.Yeah, to put it mildly, Lo S owes a lot to Go W. But then again, Go W owes a lot to DMC, which owes a lot to Castlevania. So I guess we just came full circle.
At least it was a fun game to play, anyway. I enjoyed it enough to play to the end, which is getting increasingly rare for videogames these days.
As an idea, interesting, but unlikely to succeed.
They're going overboard with Revenue-Enhancing Devices. Anybody remember Eye Of Judgement? Yeah, when was the last time you actually heard anyone buy those cards?
Also, ugly Spyro is ugly.
Sonic hates SOPAJoin my brothers, as we shall crowd together to scream "RUINED FOREVER!" Sing our protest song!
And once again, the good things in life have been torn to pieces, poorly reconstructed, incinerated, scattered across the multiverse, and fused back together in a form nowhere even close to the way it should be.
It's an abomination.

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "I concur. I now finally understand what people mean when they accuse things of raping their childhood.
...It's actually a pretty neat idea, but also pretty obviously another cash grab. $70 for the basic starter pack? Fuck, as a broke college student, I can't afford to pay more than $50 for video games anymore. So yeah, not gonna happen.
The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith.Clearly it's a cash scheme to milk out rich parents with spoiled brats. And they'll go around the playground thinking their cool with their ugly what-used-to-be-Spyro figures.
No, I didn't make this post to make the "the foreigners, not the streeets" joke.

Sonic hates SOPAOkay, maybe I missed something, but I read the article and I don't understand what an AR game is supposed to be.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI daren't click the link. I don't want my childhood to be RUINED FOREVER!

Well, if there's one thing all those examples have over this, is that they aren't obvious glorified cash-in attempts. The gimmick is so astonishingly shameless it's ridiculous.
