Maylene: *looks at the Black Belt hanging from the ceiling* Sorry about that; that usually doesn't happen. And by usually, I mean never...

Maylene: Anyway, it seems that you're here for a Gym Match, right? I'd be happy to take you on. 4-on-4 sound good?

"First up is..."

"I'll start with..."

Both trainers tossed a Pokeball forwards, a flash of light exploding from both as their Pokemon were released simultaneously.

"Meditite!"

"Amia!"

Maylene tilted her head at the sight of the unfamiliar Pokemon, looking it over curiously. "Hmm...looks like a flier...but not a Poison-type. Probably...Psychic, then?" Feeling her hunch was correct, she smiled slightly.

"Shouldn't be a problem for Meditite, though. Let's start with Calm Mind!"

The Meditite folded its legs, closing its eyes as it went into a deep, meditative trance. Amia blinked at the dismissive gesture, feeling a little irritated about being brushed off.

"Go get it, Amia! Let's use Air Cutter!"

The Woobat nodded in agreement, sending blades of wind spinning towards the Meditite. While it seemed to be unaffected due to its trance, there were still visible signs that it had taken damage.

"Hmmm...fast, huh?" Maylene murmured to herself.

Charon's hideout

Charon: Hmm... These guys are good. Could it be that they might actually be able to stop me?

???: Stop you they certainly shall!

Charon: ... Huh? (recognizes the voice) Oh no, not him again...

Looker: (pops out of a cactus, no, the cactus was not there until this post) Yes, me again! I have come to arrest you and take you all the way back to Sinnoh!

Charon: Um... What do I...? (glances at a screen, noticing all the commotion outside) How am I supposed to think with all this noise? (to Rotom) Send more power to the weather machine! I'm going to try to whip up a storm to blow these guys away! (starts pressing buttons at the control panel)

Rotom: <Are you sure if-?>

Charon: Relax, I've got this under control!

Elsewhere on Mt. Pyre

Alastor: (twitches) <Ugh... Something is happening... We must protect the graves!> (grabbing Veronica's arm and dragging her along)

Lina: -Lets out all her mons to watch- Hmmm...What should I call you, Mr. Seviper? Oh, I know! Asmodeus :3

Asmodeus: I have a Trainer now... That puts limits on what I can eat...

Suddenly the background noise of the operating energy transfer machines starts increasing, accompanied by some rumbling and the electric Pokémon acting strangely.

SWAT Leader -checks the intercom: "...What? Power from the entire city is being siphoned away?"

Silent turns to the SWAT Leader.

"We need to stop this soon, and in a controlled manner. if those machines are damaged, consequences at Mt.Pyre might be unexpected."

SWAT Leader: "We are trying to but we are pinned down..." — to the intercom — "Are those schematics ready yet?"

"Look... if we can at least pressure the splinters to dig further into the cave, they'll meet further resistance from the Trainers already inside. I can make it happen... if you can get my Pokémon into the line of fire."

SWAT Leader: "B-but those are Selfdestructing Electrode!"

"Maekrite can handle it."

After some more noise and intercom failures, the swat leader signals a member of his team to come along with a shield. Silent gives some instructions to have the shield man provide him with cover to reach another corridor.

Charon's hideout

- Charon presses some more buttons, but doesn't seem to be getting the result he wanted -

Charon: Come on, work...

- The ground starts shaking -

Charon: ...!

Looker: Oh dear.

Some rumbling sound is heard as a wall near the SWAT team suddenly appears to bulge. It bends as if under enormous pressure and finally gives way, allowing passage for the 3 trainers behind to emerge.

Narrator: Hey, what about us?

You're new at this, aren't you? We don't count when it comes to action scenes.

Narrator: Oh...okay

Casval: "Hey rude girl, you got that side under control?"

Artesia: "Arrgh! I've got a name, you know!"

Narrator: Artesia removes her hands from the Electrodes, having completely drained them of all stored electrical energy.

Casval: "Looks like that's that. Hmm?"

Casval notices Maekrite.

Casval: "Hey...isn't this..."

"Maekrite~"

Wally runs up to hug the Nidorino, ignoring the situation at hand.

-is twitching around too much to even notice the shaking. This is the first serious battle he's been involved in for a while, and he's excited!-

-Vilkas notices, however-

Vilkas: Uh...are you sure this is such a great plan?

Oh no, you are not getting away. If what Breeze said is true, you hurt my Pokemon. So guess what?    I'm gonna hurt you. >:D   

Vilkas: ...Very well. -sends out Nero-

Nero: <You again? Really?> -snarls, his Drought ability brightening the sun-

A Ninetales, eh? Breeze, you want this?

Breeze: <...I think Marmalade might, actually.>

-sends her out-
