Oh, I don't know what else there is to know. I'm guessing there isn't too much to it aside from phasing and energy attacks.

After finally getting a general idea of the things Sandshrew liked to eat, writing it down in his notes for good measure, Rex lead the trio and his own Pokemon over to a nearby mountain.

Rex: The landslides don't seem to be occurring in this area...so it should be safe for you to nest over here.

Sandshrew Trio: <\\o o o/>

Rex: Heh. Now, let's see...I think that Aqua can soak up a bit of the water with Acid Armor and Jemma can probably make rocks which Anya and Ohm can grind down into fresh sand. Now, it might take an hour or so, but with everyone's help, we should be able to make a miniature area for the Sandshrew to rest i-

Aqua: <Grandpa?>

Rex: Hmmm? What is it, Aqua?

Aqua: <Why not just use that funny disc that the nerd man gave to you? The one that makes secret bases? :3>

Rex: ... ... ... ... ... U_U

Aqua: <Silly grandpa~>

-was totally standing near Anom the whole time-

...So you met a fan girl with Ghost type powers, Anom?

-Fool nods-

Yeah! Look at this!

-Fool conjures up enough Obscura energy to create an Illusion of a shiny Sandile-

AU Johto

-Icelus, her parents and her siblings are grazing in the field. When Icelus come up with an idea!-

Icelus: <Baah! I know I'm rather influential and charismatic and the grass here doesn't look as nice as the grass over there... I SHALL COME UP WITH A NEEDLESSLY COMPLEX PLAN TO CONVINCE MY FLOCK TO GRAZE OVER THERE! BAAAH~ :3>

-Icelus goes off to find a judges' Hammer of Justice... for no apparent raisin.-

Jane: Well, there is a bit more to it. There's a physical counterpart to Obscura that is used most often by Dark Types, for example.

Portales: -sheepishly takes the armband and fumbles with it, his fingers are too blunt to manipulate it properly-

-As Fool stops concentrating, the Sandile... runs off?-

Oh, there is? Are those the attacks like Dark Pulse and Night Daze?

Dragonair: -helps Portales get the Armband on-

Yeah, Star...

You noticed I was... absent after the J-Con? She and some other fans kidnapped me...

- Just sort of sits there, humming the opening theme of Puella Magi Madoka Magica -

-Is also sitting, humming the cantina music from Star Wars-

Route 111: Mountain

Aqua giggled as the TM implanted new information directly into her head, burbling happily as Rex pulled the disc away.

Rex: Alright, that move should help you on Ranger duty too, in case you and Kim need to camp out at night. I'd better teach it to some of my Pokemon as well. Anyway, let's make a secret base for those Sandshrew.

Aqua: <Yay!>

Moving closer to the mountain, Rex traced his fingers over the rough stone. He tapped at a few parts here and there, checking to see just how thick the stone was. In one particular region, however, a hollow noise greeted him. With a nod, he turned to Aqua and stepped back.

Rex: Try to hit it right here, okay?

The Eeveelution yipped in understanding, turning her gaze to the stone in front of her. She focused on the power the TM imbued her with, her body glowing a soft green. Her tail swung back and forth like a pendulum, Aqua's eyes shut in concentration. Rex, Jemma, and the Sandshrew were quiet as she focused, not a sound coming from among them.

Then, as if spurred to life by some alien force, the hollow stone eroded away, leaving a gaping hole in the wall. Arid air seeped out, washing over the group and sending Rex into a coughing fit. Jemma and the Sandshrew, however, found it delightful, heading into the cave with excited cheers.

Rex: Urgh...good job, Aqua.

Aqua: <Hehe~>

With that, the two made their way into the cave as well, planning to survey the new area before they left the Sandshrew to their new habitat.

AU Johto

-After Icelus finds a Hammer of Justice, she decides to give a lecture on a rock-

Icelus: -Banging the Hammer on a Rock- <Brothers, Sisters, Parents and other members of the flock! I have come to you today to talk to you about our grazing grounds!

Now you may have noticed that the Grass around here isn't that scrumpsicous, it's rather dry and bitter! Surely flock, surely we deserve better grazing grass?>

-The flock memebrs bleat amoungst themselves-

Icelus: <Now, there is a grass patch over to the right. The grss there... it is sweet! It is delicate! It is beautiful! I can smell it from... over here! Why, I say that we should MOVE A FEW INCHES TO THE RIGHT and graze on the nice grass!>

-There is some excited baa-ing and bleating amoungst the herd-

Icelus: <ALL IN FAVOUR SAY "BAAAAAH">

Herd (-1): <BAAAAH>

Icelus: <ALL APPOSE?>

A Mareep: <Bleat.>

Icelus: <Majority rules~ Lets move to the better grass! :3>

-Icelus leads the herd to the "Better grazing grass"-

...You're always ending up in weird situations, aren't you?

-Portales has now changed into a short, blonde boy with a brown baseball cap, a brown school uniform, and green spectacles. His sleeves are too big for his arms and there are enormous cuffs on his pant legs where they reach the ground. However, because of the rain, all of his clothes become soaking wet within seconds.-

Portales: Oh, I'm getting everything wet!

Dragonair: -is being physically restrained from glomping him by Ninetales and Vaporeon-

-Portales tries to get dry by shaking the water off, but is failing miserably-

Portales: Ohhhh, when will this rain let up?

-Just then, the rain stops completely and utterly. It then begins to snow-

Jane: Whabuwah!? Snow?

Gallade: -squints his eyes- <Something's not right...>

Random Cacnea in the desert shriek unhappily, seeking refuge from the suddenly falling snow.

Route 111: Secret Base - Mountain

Rex and Aqua sat in the corner as the Sandshrew dug up sand, dirt, and various other things, making themselves more at home. Jemma assisted with the decorating by tossing a few rocks here and there.

Route 111

-Fool sits down, wondering why it's snowing.-

Jagged Path

-The shell has cracks all over it-

Vyvyan: IT'S GOING TO BURST! HIT THE DEECKS!

-Vyvyan dives as Egg Shell spreads everywhere, the aftermath leaving a rather runty baby Groudon sitting on the Machine-

Vyvyan: -Picking himself off the ground and dusting the egg shell off his outfit-

Vyvyan: I've seen eggs, hatch before... but not like that

-Vyvyan turns around to see a small Groudon has walked up behind him-

Vyvyan: AAAAH!

-Vyvyan falls over once again-

Baby Groundon:

Vyvyan: Esh... Don't scare me like that... okay?

-The Groudon nod-

Vyvyan: Gee... they weren't kidding when they said you were small... You do look rather tiny being only half my height...

-The Groudon looks at itself-

Vyvyan: ..What am I to do with you?

-The Groudon wander off and makes the laboratory amuck-

Vyvyan: Oi! W-Watch out! You might hurt yourself!

-Vyvyan chases the baby Groudon around the laboratory-

Do you mind if I take that back, Portales? -indicating the armband-

-The snow stops falling, leaving about three centimeters of snow, but the clouds are still there and the temparature is noticeably too cold for a desert.-

Jane: I haven't seen this much crazy weather since Groudon and Kyogre had that battle in Sootopolis when I was 15. Did you guys encounter such funky weather before you got here?

Portales: Oh! Um, no, not really. These um, clothes are really itchy. -tries to reach into his sleeves to get rid of the armband-
